Y'all sitting down? The “Friday Night Lights” movie script is in the hands of Mrs. Coach herself, Connie Britton. The current star of “Nashville” said it’s only a matter of time that the movie gets made.
“I have the script for a potential movie spin-off of ‘FNL.’ I think it’s just a matter of finding a time when everyone can do it,” Britton told Ladies’ Home Journal.
“Friday Night Lights,” which was based on the movie of the same name starring Billy Bob Thorton, aired on NBC and DirecTV from 2006-2011. In the two years since the show ended its five-season run, fans have been clamoring for a continuation of the story of Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler), his wife Tami Taylor (Britton) and the rest of the Dillon Panthers crew.
Today has been quite an interesting day. It started off like any other. Woke up, got ready, ate, then off to work. The best part of my day happened when I got home, around 5:30. My phone went off and a text appeared on my screen. It was my agent. She shared some amazing news that every aspiring, hard working actor wants to hear. The opportunity has come for a big break for me. She shared the news that I have been requested to audition for the upcoming Disney movie, McFarland, along side Kevin Costner, Maria Bello, and many other amazing actors. I truly can’t express how happy I am. All the hard work, the stress, sacrifices, patience. It has all lead to this. God is so good.
