energy strategy

Hey babes! My valentine for you this year is a simple Self-Love tarot spread.

1. Something to love about myself.
What’s so great about me? What am I getting right in life? What makes me special? What can I love about myself right now?

2. Where in life can I be more patient with myself?
What am rushing myself to do? Where am I in such a hurry to grow that I need to take a breath and slow down? In what areas of life am I too much of a perfectionist?

3. Where in life can I be kinder to myself?
Do I treat myself the same way I treat others? What unimportant stuff have I been beating myself up about? How can I treat myself better?

4. Energies and strategies to draw on.
What energies can I bring in, and what strategies can I use to foster a better relationship with myself?

This spread can also be used to review and improve relationships with others. Just ask all the same questions about your relationship.

Wishing you all a happy Valentine’s Day! Much love!

It is completely unacceptable that this Tory government is raiding the retirement incomes of thousands of Sellafield workers - Clive Lewis

Clive Lewis MP, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, commenting on the pensions dispute at Sellafield, said:

“It is completely unacceptable that this Tory government is raiding the retirement incomes of thousands of Sellafield workers for the second time. These workers have already been forced on to far less generous schemes, and now the Government is coming after them again. The grounds for doing so are completely bogus – the pension fund is in full financial health and does not fall under public sector pension reform.

“This is a cynical attempt by the Government to save money by picking the pockets of British workers, and we are completely behind their fight for fairness. The government should stop these cuts immediately, and return to talks.

“For all her warm words on standing up for ordinary people, Theresa May’s Tories are leaving workers worse off.”

A Proper Introduction.

I am Adnarel. I am the Governing Angel of Winter, Strategy, and Energy. I reign over December and Saturday. My element is Water, my stone is Garnet (though, I do find diamonds to be quite beautiful), my metal, Silver, and my number, Five. My tarot association is The Hanged Man, while my preferred playing card suit is Spades. I am associated with deer, foxes, wolves, and bears—though I also have connections to horses and various birds. I do have mates and children, however, they are not yet registered and I do not intend on listing them here at this moment.

When the very people tasked with delivering the industrial strategy and tackling climate change don't know ministers' objectives or have any confidence in achieving them, it's hard to see how anyone else can - Clive Lewis

Clive Lewis MP, Labour’s Shadow Business Secretary, commenting on reports that almost half of staff in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) say they do not “have a clear understanding of BEIS’s purpose”, said:

“This is not only a resounding thumbs down for the Business Secretary from his own staff but also an indictment on the Prime Minister’s flagship reorganisation of government, which seems to have left her civil servants as concerned as the rest of us.

"She chose to abolish the department for climate change and six months on there is no sign of the industrial strategy that was in the new department’s name, business is still waiting for answers on Brexit and the only jobs that they have created were changing the signs over their door on Whitehall.

"When the very people tasked with delivering the industrial strategy and tackling climate change don’t know ministers’ objectives or have any confidence in achieving them, it’s hard to see how anyone else can.”

By January 1, 2050, achievement of zero greenhouse gas emissions nationally through domestic policies and international collaboration with the United Nations and other international organizations. The United States will shift its energy supply strategy from fossil fuels to 100 percent clean, renewable energy and implement zero waste practices.
Climate change department killed off by Theresa May
The decision to abolish the Department for Energy and Climate Change has been variously condemned as “plain stupid”, “deeply worrying” and “terrible” by politicians, campaigners and experts. One of Theresa May’s first acts as Prime Minister was to move responsibility for climate change to a new Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.

The first major passively ventilated & cooled building in London, winner of the RIBA President’s Research Award 2007

“The building has a hybrid environmental strategy, naturally ventilated all year and passively cooled through the summer months but engaging downdraught cooling via a central lightwell through periods of summer peak temperatures. The London ‘heat island effect’ shows the city centre to be warming but the SSEES project demonstrates that it is possible to configure a low energy strategy in a city centre at these latitudes. This is the first known application of this low energy environmental strategy in a city centre in the world. The strategy has been exhaustively modelled and tested at the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development at De Montfort University, Leicester, and the BP Institute for Multiphase Flow at Cambridge University. Fresh air, tempered in winter or pre-cooled in mid summer, flows from the atrium across the floorplates to the exterior exhausts. We have devised acoustically treated narrow section transfer ducts within partitions to allow air to pass across enclosed spaces such as the first floor computer rooms without unwelcome sound transfer.”
