“Star Platinum” by Jin Hashimoto

Finally, the last one. Sorry this took so long. It’s kinda sad doing it now that the Part 3 anime has ended, but it’s also the most fitting song for it. It takes me back to old 80/90′s era anime opening-style songs. If the manga had been adapted as it was being released way back then, I think this could very well be it’s opening theme.

What he gazed upon silently
Was the star of destiny, the fateful horizon
The burning blood residing inside his body
It’s the strength meant to protect  ~PLATINUM

“If it’s an evil so bad it makes you sick in your stomach,
Beat it down without any doubt!”

Breakin’ out!
Release your fists and strike your enemy
A calm rage is no sin
Beyond the darkness you witness
Unleash your justice, and your judgement
Star Platinum!

Men go on their journey through the desert
Each with their own nature, a faded photograph
Turning a single moment’s rest into a bond
Destined to keep moving forward  ~PLATINUM

The silhouette standing in the morning sun, it’s his silent back figure

Break your World!
Make your scream echo till the ends of the Earth
The non-stopping speed, beats down the heartless one
Bring forth the strength that transcends time
As you mutter yare yare da ze, the trace you leave behind is…
Star Platinum!

Breakin’ out!
Release your fists and strike your enemy
A calm rage is no sin
Beyond the darkness you witness
Unleash your justice, and your judgement
Star Platinum!

An Exercise to Spark Storytelling

One thing that I absolutely love to do when I’m at a loss for ideas is to come up with new possibilities for stories. I don’t have to write the story in full if I am not in the mood, but coming up with several all at once will help spark new ideas and you’ll continue to keep generating new ideas until you have one that you’re confident in.

Today, the method I’ll be sharing is actually based on @1000storyideas’s “Create a Random Story”. That is a great general generator, but I recommend personalizing it (like the one I’ve made). I’ve tried this a few dozen times and each time, I actually try to think out “what is the story here?” Usually I can figure it out and even come up with a few quick characters and the basic plot - enough so that if I wanted to write the story, I feel as though I could. If I don’t I write it down in a notebook and save it for another day. This is the randomizer that I made for myself - others can use it as an example, but I filled in the blanks with the kinds of characters and settings that I would write about. It can easily be changed and personalized, so feel free to play around!

PICK A CHAIN OF 7 RANDOM NUMBERS.

This is just an example of what I am using to create stories, catered more towards what I write. It was easy enough to fill out this chart and it works as a great tool to generate ideas for stories that you are interested in telling. Again, this format is based on a model from 1000storyideas’ “Create a Random Story”. I found that post to be so helpful and now I’m working on my own to build stories that I can hopefully turn into novels.

I need more music to listen to

Figured the easiest way to get suggestions I may actually like is by listing all the artists I currently have on my iTunes. Based off what I have if you have any suggestions, send em my way along with a couple songs you like by them 👌🏻

Life - RM Lyric Translations

After I had a drink of alcohol, I realized
that to live is a continuation of getting to know what loneliness is
whether there are people around you or not
the little me inside of me was always lonely
why isn’t there an opposite word for ‘loneliness’
a person will always feel lonely even until they die
even though my surroundings are loud
the time where I have to be alone always comes back
yeah that’s a life
we live inside vulnerability
given a reward to see this beautiful world, in return,
even the bulletproof vests, the street lamps, and the sturdy cars
can’t perfectly protect us, starting from our deaths
From the moment that we are all born,
life is more beautiful while we put (down) death as our loan
just like how a light is truly a light only if darkness exists,
just like how there’s sunlight after a rough storm,
Life, fall in love
life gets hurts by a person
and gets lonely from the wind
We wanna be right
but always wrong
we’re born to make mistakes
Why is life like that
(We never know what tomorrow holds for the rest of our lives)
(Even though this building falls apart, you can’t flee from it)
We tryna be bright
but always dark
Even though you think that you lived enough, you still don’t know

The world’s a sheet of decalcomania
The one who seemed like he was on my side turned into my most heinous enemy
Just how we fold a sheet of paper, once you fold it, that’s the end of it

(T/N: because the folded part creates a permanent crease)

Within seconds, he’d be mocking me from the other side
(It’s) Exactly the same, little child there’s no need to be mad
Some parents completely forget/ignore their children when money is standing front of them

(T/N: the parents are blinded by money)

We must make our flames bigger. because the world is so cold
In order for the world to not freeze up, I should do whatever, even though it means I have to harm myself
there wouldn’t be anything like what’s right or wrong in the first place
But we, in the end, learn how to
step on someone, grab someone, erase someone, and hate someone
Fuck all the peace and love; I know that that’s success’s natural enemy
As if it’s so certain, those quotes that follow only logic, like a sheep
It makes me more sad. but what can I do about it, I’m nothing but all words
I’m only just a wind that passes by someone

Life, fall in love
life gets hurts by a person
and gets lonely from the wind
We wanna be right
but always wrong
we’re we born to make mistakes
Why is life like that

We’re we born to die. We’re we born to live.
We’re we born to die. Were we born to live.
We’re we born to live. We’re we born to die.
The badge above my name. Is that life
(or) is it death

Who knows..

Life, fall in love
ife gets hurts by a person and gets lonely from the wind
We wanna be right. but always wrong
we’re born to make mistakes
Why is life like that
(we never know what tomorrow holds for the rest of our lives)
(Even though this building falls apart, you can’t flee from it)
We tryna be bright
but always dark
Even though you think that you lived enough,
you still don’t know

Till the World Ends

Before - When hours and minutes didn’t matter

“The problem is that the sun light reflects only the visual light spectrum off the strands and then you are only seeing about 60% of the potential existing object and-”

“Dude.”

The small blond girl looked up from where her finger was tracing patterns and diagrams into the sand. In front of her a taller boy awkwardly juggled a toy car, regarding the doodles filling the sandbox.

“Why you speakin’, like, crazy or something?”

The blond girl’s face fell.
