end of the trail records

anonymous asked:

how is NHL!Bitty with fans? in general but then also more specifically with fans he meets just out and about?

When Eric first moved to Seattle, someone asked for an autograph while he was out shopping and he proceeded to hand the magazine (with ERIC’S OWN FACE ON IT) to his teammate beside him.

He’s since grown more accustomed to people recognizing him, wanting photos, signing things, etc, but it’s a little tiring knowing there is a good chance he’ll be recognized by someone and end up with a small trail of fans covertly recording him buying fruit or something.

However, he’s a fan himself and he understands how exciting it is to see/meet someone ‘famous’. This goes two-fold for him because he’s a little bit of an activist gay icon to a surprising number of people. So, no matter how tired he is, he always has time to listen and engage with the fans who love him.

Bonus:

The first time Eric saw a child wearing his Schooners jersey, he cried.

The first time Eric saw an adult wearing his Schooners jersey, he cried.

The first time Eric saw his father wearing his Schooners jersey, he cried.

The first time Eric saw Jack wearing his Schooners jersey, he made Jack cry
