empire falling

Thoughts on the ancient elves?

They lived as an empire and died an empire’s death. It’s the very nature of empires - to implode, to crumble under its own weight as its underside begins to fester without its head and hands being able to reach it and cleanse it.

I technically would have problems with an empire falling apart and another taking its place. I have a big problem with BioWare depicting the survivors of that collapse, and their descendants the modern elves as if ‘they had it coming’.

Fun fact: Tenochtitlan fell in 1521. From 1603 onwards, large numbers of honest-to-god fricking Japanese Samurai came to Mexico from Japan to work as guardsmen and mercenaries.

Ergo, it would be 100% historically accurate to write a story starring a quartet consisting of the child or grandchild of Aztec Noblemen, an escaped African slave, a Spanish Jew fleeing the Inquisition (which was relaxed in Mexico in 1606, for a time) and a Katana-wielding Samurai in Colonial Mexico.

I HOPE ALL YOUR FAVOURITE BANDS PULL A 'GREEN DAY' AND STAY TOGETHER FOR A LONG ASS TIME

This also applies to Green Day, because they are awesome. Just keep doing what you’re doing guys. Don’t change, and keep up the good work 👍👍👍 [edit] If your favourite bands are no longer together *cough* mcr *cough* I hope they pull a ‘Fall Out Boy’ and rise from the ashes, before continuing to produce kickass music 🤞🤞🤞

Bill’s finally all done after a second session for color! Was originally going to break this into two color sessions but just kinda went for it all today. My wallet AND my arm are in a lil pain. Funfact: the pink and the orange are appropriately blacklight reactive.

I love it though and it’s perfect! Thanks again Ryan!

As cliche as it may sound, if a person wants to know about me all they have to do is just listen to my music playlists.
