emma x jacob

Enoch: *acts like a little bitch*

Me: Cute.

Enoch: *is rude to people*

Me: Precious.

Enoch: *literally destroys everything*

Me: What a guy :^)

I don’t understand how people don’t ship Jacob and Emma? Yeah sure she’s like actually 80 and his grandpa’s ex, but like Miss Peregrine said, Emma and the other peculiars are still children, because that’s what they consider themselves and because they might be old but they haven’t grown up.
Plus they are SO FUCKING CUTE!

Part One ~ Part Two ~ Part Four

Enoch wasn’t particularly happy. Not that he was ever really happy most of the time, but this time he was in a distinct unhappy mood. And it was Horace’s dreams of the future that had him so grumpy. So very much so that he couldn’t work on any of his homunculus.

Sitting there, watching the dreams, seeing (Y/N) laughing and having a jolly time. But it wasn’t that. He couldn’t be mad at (Y/N) for being happy. It was who was making her happy in the dream. The boy who would be coming to the loop, soon enough.

Abe’s grandson.

When they were first told of Jake coming to the loop, he didn’t want anything to do with him. This was because he expected him to get up and go like his grandfather had oh so many years ago. However, now seeing him with (Y/N) in Horace’s dreams, it made him more than upset. He would break (Y/N)’s heart!

He didn’t want that to happen. Emma had already sworn off love, he didn’t want (Y/N) to let go of that either. She was too sweet, too pure. As she said, “sugary sweet,” which he didn’t so much know why she would refer to herself as sugar. It was far too sweet.

He couldn’t sleep. He didn’t want to. Not with this feeling bubbling up in him. He wasn’t jealous, he told himself. It wasn’t jealousy, it was just a protective manner. He simply didn’t want her getting hurt.

And yet he could still see those images of her and Jake together in the gardens. How he made her giggle and blush. He hated it. Hate was a strong word, but it greatly described how he felt towards the subject matter.

He had to talk to her. He couldn’t let her be in her room, unknowing of what was to happen. So he thrusted himself up out of the bed and left his room in his nightly apparel, his feet making small noises against the floor as he tried to stay as quiet as possible.

He made it to her room almost silently, turning the knob and pushing open the door. He made his way in quickly, knowing that if he were to get caught, then it wouldn’t be good. One reason being because it didn’t look like anything he was intending to do. Sneaking into a girl’s room, how gentlemen like of him.

Her room was dark, nearly pitch black. The reset wasn’t that long ago, but it was still late into the night. (Y/N)’s room was not illuminated in anyway at all. He had to trust his memory to guide him through her room, in hopes that she hadn’t spontaneously moved anything around.

Once at her bed, he looked down at her almost peaceful face that he could barely make out in the dark. She was asleep. This time she had been cooped up in here, he thought that maybe she had started to sleep during the day and be awake in the night. It was a relief to see that was not the case.

He reached out to her, shaking her shoulder lightly.

“(Y/N), wake up,” he said gently. He still shook her but made sure not to shake her too hard. “(Y/N).”

“Oh, what do you want?” she mumbled, her eyes opening. She let them adjust to the darkness before she sat up. “You’re not supposed to be in here, you know that,” she said sternly, her voice still rough from being asleep.

“I know,” he said, looking down for a moment. He pressed his lips together as he sat on the edge of her bed. He could see her better now since the clouds had moved from in front of the the moon. The light shined in.

She was in a nightgown that hung loosely off of her shoulder and tied at the top, just below her neck. It wasn’t tied and one sleeve was pushed off of her shoulder. Her blanket was now bunched up at her hips from her sitting up.

“Then why are you in here?” she asked. He was a little shocked by her tone. She sounded almost angry with him. Then again, he did wake her from her sleep.

“I’ve just come to tell you about Jake,” he told her.

“Olive’s already told me of him, how amazing she thinks he’ll be, and of how excited she is to finally have someone knew coming to the loop,” (Y/N) listed off. She didn’t seem too pleased about any of this. She also didn’t seem to know about the rest of Horace’s dreams. “Are you here to tell me you’re jealous?”

“I’m not jealous,” he stated defensively. “Why would I be?”

“New boy around about the age we look, coming around and getting onto your territory,” she told him, rolling her eyes.

“What are you even talkin’ ‘bout?” he asked her, shaking his head. “I’m not jealous. He’s just coming to see if we’re here and then he’s gonna leave.”

“I doubt it,” she said and scoffed. “You’re just too cautious. He could stay for all you know.”

“He’ll leave, just like his grandfather did,” he retorted.

“You just want to believe that,” she told him as she poked her finger into his chest, “because you’re scared that he’s gonna hurt someone. Like Emma or Olive.”

“Or you,” he said, tagging her onto the list because he firmly believed it would be her.

“He’s not going to hurt me because I’m going to stay here,” she told him and threw the blanket off of her legs, revealing that the gown only stopped at her thighs. “Unlike you, fine sir, who should be leaving.”

She got up and took his arm in her hands, pulling him up. He looked at her, almost unbelieving that she was about to force him out of her room. “You really don’t belong in my room,” she commented.

“Hear me out, will ya,” he said, resisting the pull of his arm. She wasn’t strong, not in the slightest, but she had a determination to get him out of there. He wasn’t about to stand for it.

“I’ve heard you out,” she insisted, “You’re scared and you’re jealous.” She didn’t look at him as she pulled him toward the door, his tired body following.

“You haven’t. I’m not leavin’ ‘til you do,” he pressed on her, planting his feet on the floor of her room and tugging her back. Her feeble body bounded back abruptly, running into his chest. Her hands braced on his torso and pushed herself away from him. She looked up at him.

“Enoch, stop being stubborn,” she scoffed. Her pupils were hard as she stared at him. “Now will you please just leave me be.” It wasn’t a question.

“(Y/N),” he pleaded tenderly. The way he said it made her eyes soften as her lip pouted a bit. “I’m trying to warn you.”

Her eyes became hard again. “Of what? Jake? I hardly believe he’ll hurt me,” she told him, walking past him. She started pushing him toward the door a final time. “Now goodnight, Enoch.”

She opened the door and pushed him out, causing him to stumble some and make a bit of noise. He turned to glance back at her, but she was already closing the door. He made a move to stop her, but the door was shut by then and there he was, left standing there before after several moments returning to his own room.

Not requested I’m just really trash for good ol’ baby boy Enoch:

- Him being really awkward around you at first

- Miss Peregrine and Horace / Millard / Emma briefly discussing how happy you two are with each other

- Really awkward but really cute hand holding

- In fact he REALLY likes holding your hand, and finds himself grabbing it several times throughout the day, even for short periods of time

- Him being really hostile around Jacob if he gets too close to you

- “You know she’s mine, right?”

- If you played an instrument, he probably loved listening to you play it.

- Sometimes you two walking to each others rooms in the dead of the night because you’re ‘cold’ or ‘can’t sleep’

- Cute little kisses throughout the day

- All the others being happy that Enoch was happy (but mostly they were happy that he wasn’t so rude to them when you were around)

- Him rigging his homunculi to bring you flowers while you read in the library

- c u d d l e s

- Him being incredibly overprotective of you

- No but seriously ^^

- “Y/N are you okay you have a scratch.” “Enoch It’s just a scratch.” “But you could be dying.” “Enoch I’m fine.”

- If you have a mental illness he drops anything to help you when it gets hard to deal with

- Helping with his homunculi

- “You’re so beautiful.”

I’ll probably make another one of these cause I really liked making this.

‘’You don’t have to make us feel safe, because you’ve made us feel brave.’’

Oh Enoch. Stop being such a party-pooper. You know you want that cuddle.

I can practically imagine Emma having to take care of Olive all the time. They probably snuck out of the house to watch some fireworks outside.

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been dealing with school but hey at least we’re free now since it’s our break. Which means more art. yay.
