And then, in a moment, something changed. Perhaps he remembered something heard in his youth a long time ago: an ancient prophecy of the Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force. Perhaps the vague outlines of someone named Shmi and a Jedi named Qui-Gon struggled to the surface of his consciousness. The most powerful, the most repressed thought of all could have emerged from the darkness: Padmé…and her undying love for someone he once knew well. And despite all the terrible, unspeakable things he’d done in his life, he suddenly realised he could not stand by and allow the Emperor to kill their son. And in that moment, he was no longer Darth Vader.
Here’s my step by step complete guide on how to lucid dream. The most effective way to lucid dream (based on my research and personal experience) which may give you a lucid dream tonight!
This will be a combination of some already known lucid dreaming techniques which are WILD,WBTB,MILD, and FILD. Look it up on Google.
1. Want it.
Yep. Power of the mind. You have to really want it and intend to do it. Try reading a lot about lucid dreaming during the day before you go to sleep at night. Tell yourself that lucid dreaming is easy, everyone can do it, and that you will lucid dream tonight. “Tonight I’m gonna realize I’m in my dream and I will control it.” or something like that.
2. Go to sleep
Just go to sleep normally. Don’t attempt to induce lucid dream straightaway, it might lead to insomnia. Mind that you might have to have a good sleeping pattern first.
3. Wake up 2 hours before your normal wake up time
Set your alarm clock. If you usually wake up at 6 am, set the alarm at 4 am. I found that 4 am is best for me (after going to bed at 9.30 pm that night)
4. Stay up for 30 minutes
Try not to look at your phone or laptop screen. Sometimes I don’t know what to do to spend those 30 minutes either. Drink a glass of water, go to the toilet, I don’t know, anything to keep you from falling back to sleep.
5. Go back to sleep
Now you can do this in 2 ways.
-> The first is just to simply go back to sleep.
-> The second is to induce lucid dream using WILD technique. We’re going to trick our body to think that we’re asleep eventhough our mind is actually still awake.
Go to bed and lie down on your back. Arms on your sides and feet not touching each other. Don’t move. Don’t scratch (unless it’s unbearable, go on and go back to position), don’t swallow (there’ll be an illusion of a building saliva and that you should swallow it, try not to. Swallowing will tell your body that you’re still awake. However, it’s not that prohibited. I found that swallowing is kind of alright. The key is to let it pass and not to concentrate on it.).
Sometimes it’s hard staying awake, because you may not think too much but may not fall asleep as well. If random thoughts pop up, just “look” at it but don’t interact with it. To stay awake, I usually do FILD (Finger Induced Lucid Dream) by imagining movements of my middle fingers and then my index fingers, like playing two keys on a piano. Middle finger pressing on the bed; middle finger lift. Index finger press; index finger lift, and so on.
Then these will happen:
1. You will enter sleep paralysis. In which you can’t move your body but you’re still awake. Breathing gets heavier. Some people found this scary which I don’t understand. So I suggest you to think positive and to know that sleep paralysis is normal and it happens every night. Your body does it to prevent you from moving and injuring yourself during sleep.
2. You will hear hallucinatory sounds. I usually hear music or birds tweeting. Mind that these sounds will be very very real, vivid, and sometimes loud.
3. You will enter the hypnagogic state. You’ll see colours and shapes through closed eyelids. Just watch it but don’t interact with it.
And there’s a missing link in which I assume I simply let myself fall asleep altogether.
6. You will enter the lucid dream
There are 2 ways :
1. Out Of Body Experience
In which you wake up in your bed, do a reality check (pinch your nose and try breathing through it, if you can breathe means you’re in a dream). Yep you’re in a lucid dream now. I usually go and fly from my balcony after the reality check.
You’ll see shadows which will become more and more vivid, turning into a whole dream scene. Yep you’re in a lucid dream now.
Enjoy. Try to control your dream using the power of your mind.
Some tips to stabilize your lucid dream when it’s fading:
- Rub your hands together
- Spin around
- Touch things, from your shirt to anything around you.
1. If All Else Fails
If you have tried everything above but keep failing, try this way that works for me all the time. So, after you wake up naturally, go to the toilet etc. Then go back to sleep and attempt to do WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming). You must be in a comfortable state and (as much as you can) not hearing noises from outside. And while usually you try to concentrate on staying awake, this time try to concentrate on falling asleep. Fall asleep conciously.
2. The (Not) Scary Part
So I recently found why some people are scared during sleep paralysis. I once saw a giant metal creature like the combustion villain in the movie Thor. And I once experienced feeling dragged down by vines during sleep paralysis. Now the key, is to stay positive. Everytime you feel or see anything disturbing or scary during sleep paralysis, calmly tell yourself that it’s all not real. Relax and say in your heart, “Pfft, this isn’t real. Stop it. Imagine beautiful flowers and focus on other things. Peaceful thoughts.” using a badass tone as if you don’t care. It’s all in your head so keep a positive attitude. Don’t panic and take control.
3. How To Resume
Sometimes while you’re in the middle of the dream it just fades to black. The easiest way to resume it is to stay in position and imagine the last scene/view before the blackout. Usually the scene will emerge from the darkness and poof you’re back.
4. Tips & Tricks
I found that it’s easier to induce LD during naptime. Or when you’re taking a nap while being sleep deprived.
Request-Request for harry hook x Oc Bailey bad 🐺 daughter of the big bad wolf leaves the woods for the first time. In nothing but ripped clothing nearly covering her body. She bombs into none other than harry hook while sniffing around. Someone around their meeting could you have a scene where… Harry: “don’t worry love I don’t bite” Bailey: “ oh? But I do”
Thanks again to @carmen12053 for requesting this, I hope you like it!

Summary- You, daughter of the Big Bad Wolf, have never been outside of the Dark Woods before, but decide to explore the village, and meet a certain hook handed pirate.
It was official. You were lost.
You sighed as you look at any possible signs or hints to tell you where you were, but everything looked the same. There was nothing but alley ways and hanging drapes, nothing like the molding trees of the Dark Woods.
You continued your search, only to still find nothing.
Well, you thought, this bites.
You sniffed around, trying to get some type of scent to guide you in some way, but still no help. All you could smell was the stomach wrenching odors of sweat, smoke, and…..dead fish?
You shook your head, the nauseating scent making you dizzy for a moment. This place was so closed up and musty, walls of metal towering over each side of the road. The different explosions of darkened colors made your head hurt, the new smells only making the experience worse. The change of scene wasn’t much of a surprise to you. This wasn’t the Dark Woods anymore. This was the village of the Isle of the Lost.
Old buildings with broken windows, stoned paths that were unstable to walk on. And the unwelcoming, and most certainly petty, fairy tale villains. You could sense the evil all around, it polluted the air like a plague. You had seen new villains come in over the years, all different, and ridiculous, in their own special ways. But being the daughter of the Big Bad Wolf, it was only natural that you lived in the Dark Woods, away from civilization. However, as years went by, you thought it was about time you “bonded” with your fellow villainous neighbors.
And so, you left the Dark Woods, and started your journey to the village, with nothing but your ripped clothes, and your scruffy appearance.
But this was nothing you were hoping for, let alone wanting to conquer. In all honesty, this place was a dump!
No one seemed to fear you, or even acknowledge you.
You continue your path through the town, taking a turn onto a dirt path, surrounded with wooden structures, unlike those from the other parts of the town.
Too fascinated with the strange and sudden change of the Isle, you didn’t pay attention to your surroundings, bumping into a stranger, a minion of some type, you assumed.
“Hey! Watch where you’re-” With a low growl, you cut him off immediately. Then with a bark, he ran for his life. You chuckled, that never got old.
“Wow,” you heard someone say. “That was quite a show.”
You turned to the voice, meeting the eyes of a figure in the shadows. His scent was one of a male’s, but it was the thick accent and broad outline that proved your inference.
The look of him alone made it evident that he was nothing but trouble. You didn’t mind a little trouble now and then, but right now wasn’t one of those moments.
You backed away from him slowly, hoping to avoid the hidden stranger, but he caught on to your plan.
“Aw ye scared, love?” He snickered. “Don’t worry, I don’t bite, most of the time.” He smiled, showing his straight, white teeth.
“Really,” you smirked. “Well, I do.”
“Oh, feisty little thing, aren’t ya.” He slowly emerged from the darkness, standing at his full height. He was tan and tall, with eyes blazing blue. His features looked deadly enough to cut through bark, more efficiently than the hook he carried in his left hand. His hat was one you recognized as a pirate’s hat: triangular, with a small, white feather. But what gave it away the most was the abnormally large coat, which hugged his frame with red leather, and followed him like a broken kite, unable to gain enough air to fly.
He smirked again, his piercing eyes staring right into your, compared to his, dull E/C eyes. His index finger slowly stroked the interior of his hook, as if trying to intimidate you with his puny weapon.
You grinned, but only enough to show what little effect he had on you.
It seemed to work.
“I don’t believe I’ve seen yer face around this part before,” he said, examining your torn attire as he spoke. “I think I would have recognized someone with such a…..unique sense of style.” He cackled at his own joke.
“Yeah I’m not from around this part of the Isle,” you countered. “You see, where I come from, we don’t need to pretend our limbs are missing in order to scare others.”
The comment seemed it hit a sensitive nerve, as his laughter halted instantly, only to cradle the hook close to his chest.
Then, with a killer look, he pointed the tip of his hook towards your throat, thinking of the many ways he could dispose of you, most likely.
“I can hurt ye, little girl,” he hissed, tilting the hook toward the center of your neck.
You had to admit, you were a little scared, but you refused to give him the satisfaction of knowing that he had an ounce of control over you. You glanced at the hook and lifted your head to see his serious expression.
With a long, sharp fingernail, you gently lowered the hook from you neck, never letting your eyes wander away from the stern look he held. You watched as his anger melted into complete awe, flashing your award winning, sharp tooth smile.
“That’s Y/N Wolf to you, Pirate.”
His mouth hung open, eyes wide, as if trying to put the pieces together in his head. He fumbled with his words, stuttering, and breathing heavier than normal.
“Aw, you scared, love?” You taunted, using his own words against him.
His features turned grim, knowing he had just been outwitted by a newcomer.
“So seen as how I’ve got your attention,” you spoke, tracing along his defined jaw with the tip of your claw. “Why don’t you lend a helping paw and let every pathetic, no good citizen on this Isle, know that I, daughter of Big Bad himself, has come over for a little…..visit.”
He gulped, and waited until you lowered your finger to catch his breath.
“What’s your name, Pirate?” You smiled with a voice that made the poor boy shiver at your words.
He looked at your small frame, and frowned, “Harry Hook, son of Captain Hook.”
With a nod, you turned on your heel and walked back the way you came.
As he watched you disappear from his sight, Harry thought about how easy it was for you to make him feel so helpless, and with nothing but a smile and a slight touch of your claw. He smiled and chuckled to himself.
Just wait till Uma hears about her!
Okay, I just need to thank you all for all the amazing support I’ve gotten on Night Owls! I am so blown away with how much love and compliments I’ve received from it already, it’s utterly INSANE! Sorry for any spelling errors I may have missed, I made sure there wasn’t any in this, but I’m not the best with grammar and spelling. lol. Thank you all again, I love you all. Hope you liked this imagine!
btw just in case anyone needs a refresher on the whole prophecy thing:
the voidfish showed us the planes of existence being consumed by a darkness (the hunger/oily wave), and then 7 white lights emerged from the darkness, which the darkness followed, and this cycle repeated a few times
so basically, the red robes have been trying to stop the hunger this whole time, and have gone through multiple universes in the process? each time managing to escape on the silver ships (probably the white lights), potentially with some survivors - like the voidfish, who had a flashback to being on a ship
now i’m just left wondering about the grand relics, and why they were made; considering magnus was already part of the red robe gang when he made the chalice, it’s possible they were made as part of the efforts to stop the hunger? idk!
Story Summary: To help Steve feel a little less lonely on Valentine’s Day, you and the guys plan out a day of fun. However, this outing becomes something so much more than a day with friends when feelings are revealed [Part of the Friends Like Ours one shot series].
Word Count: 2.8k
A/N: I’m really sorry about the wait and I’m sorry if I forgot to tag anyone in this! It’s been a while. Just to let you know, this one shot also refers back to the events of People Will Say.
“Hey Steve,” Bucky greeted with a smile as the blond entered the kitchen, you and Sam also giving your respective greetings with the hopes that he’d actually say something this time around.
Instead, you all earned another frown in response while he grabbed a bottle of water and a granola bar before heading back to his room, closing the door. You sighed and wondered what’s wrong with your friend. Over the past couple of days, Steve has been acting strange and distanced himself from everyone, limiting his responses with frowns and sighs. You had no working theories as to why he was behaving that way, but Sam and Bucky had an idea.
Aku, emerging from a dark pit, appearing as a pillar of black flames, before finally materializing and lowering himself to the minion’s level, eyeing him with disdain: I don’t know what you’re talking about
(If you have the time) you should do a book rec list!!
$Definitely!! I’m just going to include the ones that I’ve read that have resonated with me personally, so please feel free to message me for specific recs (Scifi, romance, wlw, etc) and i’ll look into making a more refined list for you. Reading is truly such a positive outlet, regardless of age, and I really hope there is something on here for everyone to love as much as I did.
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.
This book is so important. It follows two Mexican-America boys, through the 80s in Texas, and at the very heart of all of it, is a love so pure and intense, it made me genuinely choke up with how intimate it was. (Try not to fall in love with Dante, I dare you, you will fail, just as hard as Ari)
Girl Mans Up by M-E Gerard. All Pen wants is to be the kind of girl she’s always been. So why does everyone have a problem with it? They think the way she looks and acts means she’s trying to be a boy—that she should quit trying to be something she’s not. If she dresses like a girl, and does what her folks want, it will show respect. If she takes orders and does what her friend Colby wants, it will show her loyalty. But respect and loyalty, Pen discovers, are empty words. Old-world parents, disintegrating friendships, and strong feelings for other girls drive Pen to see the truth—that in order to be who she truly wants to be, she’ll have to man up.
Girl Mans Up is such a great book about gender identity for queer girls. Pen is amazing narrator, and having it in the first person perspective is perfect for seeing just how frustrating it is to be a girl that doesn’t fit the gender role she’s expected to. (She also has a girlfriend who she stays with in the entire book and they have a wonderful relationship, no one dies 10/10)
Whatever: or how junior year became totally f$@ked by S.J. Goslee @pantstomatch. Junior year is about to start. Here’s what Mike Tate knows:His friends are awesome and their crappy garage band is a great excuse to drink cheap beer. Rook Wallace is the devil. The Lemonheads rock. And his girlfriend Lisa is the coolest. Then Lisa breaks up with him, which makes Mike only a little sad, because they’ll stay friends and he never knew what to do with her boobs anyway. But when Mike finds out why Lisa dumped him, it blows his mind. And worse―he gets elected to homecoming court. With a standout voice, a hilariously honest view on sex and sexuality, and enough f-bombs to make your mom blush, S.J. Goslee’s debut YA novel Whatever. is a fresh, modern take on the coming-out story.
I’m honestly 100% certain there isn’t a summary that could do Whatever justice. I read this book because another librarian I work with suggested it to me, and I haven’t laughed out loud so much at a book since the Georgia Nicholson Diaries. Mike is a bisexual teen who frequently doesn’t shower and hangs out with the most endearing group of straight boys you could possibly conjure up. This book also has incredibly refreshing male/female friendships and the sweetest sibling relationship between Mike and his eccentric little sister, Rosie.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen. That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here–it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up.
It’s Harry Potter but funnier and Harry and Draco end up together!! Actually, it’s Simon and Baz, but honestly it’s what all of our thirteen year old selves were starved for, like junkies of fanfiction.net, just looking for a fix. I’m always a little hesitant of YA romance novels with vampires (For good reason, I think we’re all a little jaded still), but Baz is my Favorite Vampire™. He’s funny and sarcastic and moody and just a little bit lonely, the poor thing.
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater @maggie-stiefvater. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them–until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her.His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul whose emotions range from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher who notices many things but says very little. For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She doesn’t believe in true love, and never thought this would be a problem. But as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore
This sort of sounds like a lovey dovey romance novel right? It’s not. There’s magic, and psychics, and dead Welsh Kings (this medieval lit major was shook), and the most fleshed out characters I’ve read in a series in about 8,000 years. I didn’t think I could fall in love with a group of spoiled prep school boys, and neither does the main character Blue, but here she is with her four husbands.
Timekeeper by Tara Sim. In an alternate Victorian world controlled by clock towers, a damaged clock can fracture time–and a destroyed one can stop it completely. It’s a truth that seventeen-year-old clock mechanic Danny Hart knows all too well; his father has been trapped in a Stopped town east of London for three years. Though Danny is a prodigy who can repair not only clockwork, but the very fabric of time, his fixation with staging a rescue is quickly becoming a concern to his superiors. And so they assign him to Enfield, a town where the tower seems to be forever plagued with problems. Danny’s new apprentice both annoys and intrigues him, and though the boy is eager to work, he maintains a secretive distance. Danny soon discovers why: he is the tower’s clock spirit, a mythical being that oversees Enfield’s time. Though the boys are drawn together by their loneliness, Danny knows falling in love with a clock spirit is forbidden, and means risking everything he’s fought to achieve. But when a series of bombings at nearby towers threaten to Stop more cities, Danny must race to prevent Enfield from becoming the next target or he’ll not only lose his father, but the boy he loves, forever.
I didn’t think steampunk was my thing, but I see maybe I was wrong. Or maybe I just really love this one particular steampunk book. Danny is so full of moxie and sarcasm and nervous sweating and tea it’s easy to see why Colton falls for him. This book also tends to tackle really heavy subjects without you realizing its done just that.
I think the directors and writers have been very deliberate with how they’ve been setting up scenes between Jon and Daenerys. I’m not sure if anyone else has really noticed this or not since I haven’t seen many comments on it (of course, if you’re like me and reading into every Jonerys interaction, you’ve probably noticed this), but the framing in every Jonerys scene is very symbolic.
The first time they meet They’re so far apart. Jon enters the room and here’s Dany sitting on a throne, neither is on the same level, Daenerys is sitting Jon is standing, Dany is elevated and with her people while Jon is amongst strangers and on the floor. The meeting does not go well as neither is willing to bend. By the end of the scene Daenerys has moved from the throne to stand in front of Jon, they still aren’t facing the same direction, they’re in opposing directions, but she’s come down to his level with a certain respect for him.
Later in the episode when Daenerys is convinced to let Jon mine dragonglass he comes to meet her. This scene is interesting because they’re finally alone, yet they’re still facing different directions, but they’re closer together than they were in their earlier interaction. They start off not meeting eyes, but as each tries to sway the other they look at each other. The scene ends with Jon slightly turned to Daenerys, symbolizing that he is grateful to her, but still not abandoning his own mission. When Jon leaves, Daenerys looks back, she’s slowly respecting him more and more.
In the following episode Jon comes looking for Daenerys. Again, she’s in a different position than him. She’s surrounded by her followers, but she chooses to go down to meet Jon, unaccompanied. She doesn’t make him come to her, instead she goes to him, symbolizing her beginning to trust him and come around to seeing his side. When he takes her to the cave she leaves her guards and enters with him, going deeper and deeper into the cave. The framing in the cave I love. You have Jon and Dany both in there, close together, coming together, as Jon shows her that the threat he’s been warning about is true. She starts by following him in showing she’s believing him more and more, getting deeper and deeper. Then as he’s looking at her we can see her expression soften as she takes this in. Then Jon reaches out and takes her arm (melt!) and he turns her toward the wall as he steps behind her, they’re looking the same way and moving the same way. This is the moment where despite her wanting him to bend the knee, they respect each other and trust each other completely.
Then as they exit the cave we get one of my favourite shots of the entire series, Jon and Daenerys, side by side. I love everything about this shot, the framing, the lighting. It’s the first shot that shows them in the same frame completely equal. I especially love the fact that Daenerys has that blue lighting on her side, she’s always symbolized fire and this is the first time she’s really had a strong blue light, symbolizing ice, cast on her. Jon is lit in red and he has the torch, symbolizing fire, even though he’s always represented ice. This is where we see them moving forward in the same direction without one guiding the other, and that together they balance each other and are a song of ice and fire and they emerge from the darkness.
Raven gets them down with minimal turbulence as promised.
“Could have been smoother,” Murphy chirps, unclasping his seat belt.
Raven groans from the pilot seat casting a bright smile over her shoulder.
“Should have floated you while I had the chance.”
“We gotta move,” Bellamy says, gruff, moving to the hatch. “We need to get to O.”
“Relax, Bellamy.” Harper chides. “We’ve got plenty of time.”
Monty nods. “Yeah, Bell. No Grounders trying to kill us.”
“No mountain men.” Echo whispers in disgust.
“No crazy AI’s.” Murphy smirks.
“No death wave.” Raven finishes.
Bellamy rolls his eyes and opens the door.
It’s been 6 years and 12 days since they’ve seen the sun and their eyes take a while to adjust to the bright light flooding the cockpit. They climb out one after the other.
Bellamy’s boots hit the ground first. He breathes long and deep and tears spring to his eyes as he remembers the first time he tasted Earth’s sweet air. From behind him he hears the clang of boots on metal and then six thuds as each member of his family lands back on solid Earth… the twisted mistress.
“Good to be home,” Emori says looking around at the green forest before her.
“I thought you liked space,” Harper says pushing her shoulder.
“I did,” Emori says smiling at her friend. “But if I never go back I won’t be sad.”
They laugh together. Murphy senses Bellamy’s tension and pokes Monty in the rib.
“Okay guys,” Monty claps. “Let’s get to Polis.”
“What’s left of it.”
Murphy rolls his eyes. “Oh cheer up, Grumpy. Wake up and smell the daisies!”
Raven cocks her head. “What?”
“It’s an expression, genius.” Murphy says rolling his eyes.
Bellamy squints. “That’s not–”
“Shh!” Murphy drags his fingers over Bellamy’s mouth and strides past the older man as he sputters. He turns when he reaches the tree line. “You guys coming or what?”
* * *
They’ve been walking for no more than 5 minutes when suddenly Echo halts at the front of the group. As an Azgeda spy, she’s able to sense danger from miles away, a trait her space vacation failed to take from her. The others know this… they stop too. Instantly dropping into defensive positions. They don’t have weapons but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
A figure with red streaked blonde hair drops from the trees, back to them, as she crouches eyeing the forest before them. Her movements are full of purpose yet graceful… almost feline. It’s her. The Princess. They gasp in unison. Bellamy’s heart beats so fast and hard in his chest that if you looked hard enough you’d see his thin t-shirt jump with the vibrations. His voice cracks when he tries to speak.
She turns. Blue eyes meet his brown and for a moment, the last six years and twelve days don’t matter… but then her eyes harden and she turns back to the trees.
“We have to go,” she whispers. “Now.”
They follow her, of course, when she starts moving perpendicular to the path they were on.
“How did you…?” Raven wonders, in a daze just like everyone else. She doesn’t finish her sentence but Clarke throws a smirk over her shoulder at her friend.
“Nightblood.” She answers simply.
“Are we running from anything in particular or…?” Murphy quips.
Clarke’s shoulders shake with a startled laugh. “I missed you Murphy,” she says as she throws him a quick glance. “But yes.”
She leads them to a wooden hut. It’s big but quaint, shrouded by impossibly tall trees and covered in blooming algae, the door hidden beneath a thick sheet of the vibrant, green flora. She holds it open and motions for them to go inside never taking her eyes off the trees behind them. Her friends pass her one by one and she locks eyes with each of them, smiling as they pass.
Bellamy Blake is the last one in. He stops in front of her, gazing down into her blue eyes. He sees the tears well and she smiles. He’d almost forgotten what she looked like. She jerks her head toward the others and he spares one more glance before he goes inside. The door closes with a soft thud.
Clarke turns… seven pairs of eyes on her. She’d forgotten this feeling. To have so many people looking at her all at once. It’s strange… it stings. Leaves her chest feeling tight and her throat feeling swollen. She doesn’t realise she’s been fidgeting until Bellamy crosses the floor with long strides and engulfs her in his arms.
The others join the hug. The eight of them circled around the girl with the golden hair. The girl who saved their lives. Whispers of “thank you” and “I’m sorry” float through the air between sobs.
Everyone steps back.
Except for Bellamy Blake.
His hands cup her cheeks and he leans his forehead against hers. Her grip on his jacket tightens.
“I’m sorry,” he starts and it’s hard for her to shake her head with the way he’s holding her face but she does it.
“I’m glad you’re okay.” She says snaking her arm around his waist.
He smiles. The brightest one she’s ever seen on him… but then it fades. A single tear rolls down his cheek from his closed lids.
“I thought I’d lost you,” he says, voice small.
“I talked to you everyday,” she says pressing her body closer still.
“Clarke,” he sobs. “I’m so–”
“No,” she says. Moving her head so that he looks her in the eye. “We’re okay.”
“This is cute,” Murphy says smugly from across the room. “But can you tell us what we were running from?”
“Klark? Ste bilaik yu?” A small voice comes from a room above them.
Clarke’s eyes leave Bellamy’s for a moment to look up the staircase behind her friends. She looks back to Bellamy her eyes filled with a new kind of emotion and she smiles brightly.
“Madi, em ste alright. Em ste nou em. Em ste ai friends.”
A dark haired girl emerges from a dark doorway at the top of the stairs. The others watch as she descends and makes a bee-line for Clarke. She looks no more than 13 and stands proudly at the blonde girls side.
“This is Madi,” Clarke tells her friends and already she can see Bellamy is in love. “I found her after primfaya.”
Madi nods at the group and they all smile and laugh for two beats, then Raven looks over Madi’s head at Clarke.
“Clarke,” she says, a crease forming at her brow line. “What’s out there?”
Clarke frowns, a face they’re all so used to seeing. A face they never thought they’d see again.
imagine the moment you were born, you emerged from a dark tunnel with crackling light splitting your eyelids, what is this? what is all of this? i need to see it all… and this is the ever present moment for aries
