embrace your life

anonymous asked:

Hi so... I'm a 9th grader and I'm an artist as well. Whenever I'm bored, I draw stuff like scarecrows, monsters and dragons. Then one day, my teacher saw me draw and she asked me that offends me SO MUCH! She said, "You always draw scary stuff everytime. Do you have depression?" Calling me a depressed person just for a creepy art is getting on my nerves. Thar's why I never show my art to everyone. It's not the first time people ask me if I was depressed but.. what shall I do with this situation?

Interest varies with each individual.
Art is displayed in different forms.

When I was in 5th grade, I use to like creative writing but one day I had a teacher took my paper/story away and stuck it on the board and asked everyone to laugh at me.

I understand..its hurtful and it scarred me. But it should not stop your creativity and talents. It took me long enough to regain the courage to display my art/interest in writing again. You can’t let these “people” affect you that way. They are just briefly there in your life and soon they will get out of it.

It is YOU, YOURSELF that matters and YOU can do what YOU love :)

questions for the signs

Aries: there’s a fire inside you, why are you trying to put it out?  your emotions are real, they’re strong, they’re burning a hole through the walls you build.  let down your barriers and embrace the flames inside of your head.

Taurus: why must you cling to the things that tear you apart?  you are so subtly stubborn; you attach and refuse to let go.  please, but don’t be afraid to release your grip on the sharp end of a knife before it cuts any deeper.

Gemini: what do you want?  your devotion is about as deep as a puddle.  you flutter like a butterfly, from flower to flower, but you never land for long.  remember this before flying away: some things can never be found twice.

Cancer: tears tumble to the ocean, don’t you wish you could go too?  the despair you feel will not last forever; you cannot spend life wishing the worst.  pick yourself up, put together the pieces, dance in the rain instead of crying.

Leo: you are a fierce protector of others, but who is there to protect you?  while you chase away the monsters of friends, your own are catching up to you.  turn around and fight your own demons away instead of sacrificing yourself to them.

Virgo: when you cover your eyes, what do you see?  maybe the still black of nothingness.  look deeper, there’s a world of imagination waiting to be explored, if you can open the confines of your mind and push your own boundaries.

Libra: if you give your life to another with nothing in return, what is left of you for yourself?  partnership is the sharing of hearts, a dance of two people, not a sacrifice of one. remember to ask for a piece of someone else before giving away all of yourself.

Scorpio: why is it so easy for you to rebuild walls? ages of chipping away at concrete is put to waste when you fill the holes of progress with your sharp tongue and poison glare. open up the gate, let others in, let your soul flood out.

Sagittarius: you run, run, run, but where are you going?  you turn your back on others, and chase after the sun instead of giving what you have to those who love you.  open the gates of your heart instead of running away with the key.

Capricorn: if you pour all of your heart and your soul into your work, what will be left of you?  you turn pain into productivity, but be sure not to get too lost in the task in front of you, or you might never find your way back home.

Aquarius: your smile is beautiful, but is it real?  it flickers on your face as you laugh, like a mirage in the desert.  instead of hiding your fears behind your everlasting kindness, let your secrets go, and let your smile fade for once.

Pisces: you’re staring at the stars, what do you see there?  you are so lost in your fantasies, and you will not allow yourself to be found.  descend from your dreams, embrace life, dance under the stars instead of standing and watching.

My best guess is that I was born a little broken, with an extra dose of sensitivity. Growing up, I felt that I was missing the layer of protection I needed to expose myself to life’s risks – risks like friendship, tender love, and rejection. I felt awkward, unworthy, and vulnerable. And I didn’t think I’d survive. So I made up my own little world called addiction and I hid there. I felt safe. No one could touch me.

Balance is the key. In everything you do. Dance all night long and practice yoga the next day. Drink wine but don’t forget your green juice. Eat chocolate when your heart wants it and kale salad when your body needs it. Embrace all sides of who you are. Be brave, bold, spontaneous and loud and let that complement your abilities to find silence, patience, modesty and peace. Make your own rules and follow your own path and don’t let anybody tell you how to live according to theirs.

I still can't believe...

that Sasha won. I’ve watched RuPaul’s Drag Race since the first season and no one has made more of an impact in my life than Sasha Velour. She was different. She was different because she didn’t make me want to be like her. She made me feel like being myself was good enough. I think that is the best part of her being crowned. It justifies that being different from everyone else is not a thing to be made fun of or gawked at. These differences is what makes each of us unique and special. We should embrace ourselves for these ‘flaws’ and turn them into what makes us beautiful because we are. We are beautiful for being so unique. So I am very proud that Sasha Velour finally got the win she deserves.

Your strangeness is your beauty. You are incredible because you are odd, you cannot be classified into a type or a sort. Your flaws are wonderful weapons. Your zany ideas are the stuff of legend.

Don’t worry about the nay sayers and the people who will mock you or are determined to fit you in a box and pull you down. In video games and in life, you know you are going in the right direction when you encounter obstacles and enemies. The most interesting people I know, the most successful people I know have fought their way there. They have been ridiculed and mocked. They have been betrayed by people who promised to love them and let down. They have lost jobs and hit rock bottom again and again and despite all these obstacles, they made a name and a success of themselves.

Because you do not get to the top by being well liked all the time. Heroes and the most intelligent tend to be solitary creatures because they do not go with the flow, they are not part of the usual crowd.

Being so well liked by everyone has its own problems, it means you have never pushed the boundaries or escaped your comfort zone just for a while so you can see what you can do. And eventually you become so lost in what others think or say about you, you lose the ability to become anything other than the skin of yourself you put on everyday.

The only way you will find peace in this world is to just keep being you. Unapologetically, unabashedly you. And eventually you will find your tribe, you will find your passion, and you will find what moves your soul.

Summary- Your life was a whirlwind, yet you find a calm in the middle of your storm.

A/N- I wrote this at 2am and it just- it felt good. It was a practice in using no dialogue, and it’s really freeing not having to worry over that. A nice change of pace.

A hurricane. That’s what your life had always been. It was a whirlwind of people, places and monsters. A nomad all your life, you’d come to embrace the craziness of your life. It was the still, quiet moments that you never knew what to do with. Prior to Dean Winchester, you’d never had them.

The first time was after a bad hunt. Dean had thrown himself in front of you, taking the brunt of a werewolf attack. Sam shot it shortly afterward, but Dean was left bloody on the floor. There was so much blood. You knew how to handle this. Blood and pain you knew. The way Dean watched you though- you didn’t know what to do with that.
