Sometimes you just want to avoid color and the best alternative to your blacks and whites is the shade that lies in middle, grey. The smoky hue looks great when mixed and matched with various tones in the same spectrum. Pair your light gunmetal with dark charcoal for the perfect head-to-toe monochrome look.

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong attended the year end party of Lotte Duty Free at Club Answer in Cheondam-dong, Seoul on December 26th, 2013. His luxury bag and leather goods label Moldir and fashion designer Ko Tae Yong’s brand beyondcloset hosted a joint fashion show at this event. Jaejoong arrived on the red carpet looking nothing short of wonderful - seasonally appropriate, sharp, neither over or underdressed. As the creative director of a high end bag label that many are very fond of, Jaejoong has a reputation for his knowledge of fashion. This look, based around a neutral palette but with two major focal pieces - the soft and tactile dappled fur coat and large, stiff snakeskin embossed clutch, the ‘Croc S. Clutch Bag’ (by Moldir, naturally) - is thoughtful down to the last detail. Thought and consideration are the key to good style - clearly Jaejoong doesn’t lack them. By using 5 different textures within one look - a ponyhair coat; leather trousers; a soft, cotton t-shirt; a faux crocodile clutch & a pair of matte, black suede boots - Jaejoong has let no individual piece take over - he is wearing the outfit, the outfit is not wearing him. It is also proportioned fantastically and the silhouette is not decidedly masculine or feminine, which fits Jaejoong’s carriage nicely. The outfit has been given Jaejoong’s final signature with tiny touches of cold metal and a pair of chic, well shaped sunglasses. Incredible, crisp, inspiring.
