AU where Vlad doesn’t use his powers to become rich and famous, instead he TELLS HIS FRIENDS and they help stabilize him/ get rid of the ecto impurities. From there he begins to use his kick-ass new powers as he, Jack, and Maddie stop all the ghosts that are coming through.
Fast-forward and Vlad is like… the eccentric uncle in the family. After some sort of incident, new-parents Jack and Maddie ask Vlad to conceal his powers and keep them a secret from their kid(s). Maybe his Plasmius powers are starting to overwhelm him, making him behave more ghost-like. He’s starting to turn blue when he uses it too much, eyes going blood-red. Eventually, Vlad agrees to use his powers less, and to keep them a secret from Jasmine (and eventually, Daniel too), for everyone’s safety.
Fast-forward again to when DP takes place. Danny get zapped and starts exhibiting ghost powers. Vlad is honestly kind of excited– finally, he can share his experiences with someone! So he reveals his abilities to Danny and starts to give him little here-and-there lessons about being part ghost. Jack and Maddie are very upset about this, because he didn’t ask for their permission to nurture Danny’s new powers.
“We don’t want him growing up thinking these powers are normal, or for everyday use! Vlad, we talked about this..”
“Is that how you see me? Come on, get it out then, we’re doing this already–”
“You think I’m a freak.”
“Don’t deny it! You’ve known me for too long, at least say it to my face!”
“Go on. Say it. I’m a freak that needs to be locked away…”
“Vlad… we don’t– here, sit down…”
“… I think it’s time for me to go.”
And that’s the tipping point. Vlad disappears for almost a full year before rearing his head again, in full Plasmius form.
“Is that… really you?”
“Ah, my dear friends the Fentons. Would love to catch up and let you know what I’ve been up to… but I don’t think you’d approve.”
And Danny is pitted against his own Uncle, after realizing that all the ghosts that have been bothering him since he got his powers were sent by Vlad.
Later, Danny might use his powers too much and start to turn into Dark Dan– or just become overwhelmed with his ice powers– and Jack and Maddie have to seek out Vlad for his help before he hurts himself and those around him.
Honestly, though, this whole thing with giving Elsa a girlfriend in the next Frozen movie is doing my head in. Like, if Elsa has a boyfriend, a girlfriend, no friends, I don’t care; what I do care about is the people commenting about how kids can’t be exposed to anything not straight. Are you kidding? Like, should my parents forbid my younger siblings from seeing me because I’m not straight, am I scarring them for life just by existing? They don’t even realise how stupid they sound. Kids aren’t going to see a gay princess and decide to be a lesbian, for heck’s sake, how many gay kids grew up with straight princesses and still turned out gay. There’s no correlation. And don’t even get me started on the amount of comments I’ve seen tonight like, “NO MY SON LOVE ELS A?? HE CANONT SEE THE ‘GAYS’ BECAUSE IT WILL SCAR ??????? HIM FOR LIFE TO…. SEE THEM….. FOR HE IS A ….. CHILDREN!”
Will someone please tell the straights that equal representation involving the LGBTQIA+ community isn’t going to hurt them?
Here is my Captain Swan Secret Valentine gift for the lovely @kmomof4!
Summary: When Emma goes on a double date with her best friend, Elsa, and Elsa’s boyfriend, Liam, she certainly doesn’t expect that her date will be Killian Jones, a man she detests for his ability to occasionally defeat her in court.
Emma’s footsteps echoed through the
hallway as she left the courtroom at a consistent, brisk pace. When she was
halfway to the exit, she heard the sound of someone running behind her. She
picked up the pace slightly and grimaced.
“Come on, Swan. Don’t be like
When she realized she could not
outpace the man behind her, she swiveled on her left heel and found Killian
Jones standing two feet away from her, panting slightly. He had already
loosened his tie and undone the top button on his shirt.
“What do you want?”
“I just wanted to say you did well.
Is that a crime?”
“Hmm. Let me think about it,” Emma
responded, tilting her head slightly to the right and looking pensively up and
down the man in front of her. She certainly didn’t mind the perusal. When she
reached his face, she noted that he seemed amused as well. Straightening again,
Emma finished, “I’m sure I can find a reason to prosecute you.”
“Why, Miss Swan,” Killian responded,
moving forward slowly, “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think that you just
wanted to see me with a pair of handcuffs.”
Before Emma gave herself a moment
to picture what Killian might do with those, she said, “Good thing you know me
With that, she turned back around
and headed toward the exit. This time, the footsteps didn’t sound behind her.
“Swan,” Killian said loudly as Emma
continued walking with a confident clack-clack of her heels on the white
marble. “It’s bad form to walk away from someone in the middle of a
conversation. I thought we were getting somewhere.”
Emma was glad that she was walking
away from Killian. That way, she knew he couldn’t see the small smile and
slight flush that she felt on her face. Later, she would attribute the flush to
the sudden chilly wind that hit her as she left the warm building and faced the
winter weather. The smile, however, she couldn’t explain – at least not in a
way that she liked.
Following the sage advice of @next-elsa-girl , I tasted Cole’s tea next, because who can say no to chocolate!?
🌑 Steeping: This blend took just a bit longer, a little over 4 minutes. Near the end, the leaves did this super pretty cascade-y thing as they sunk!
🌑 Taste: The chocolate and gingerbread flavors are perfectly balanced, seemingly alternating which one is the dominant taste with every sip. The orange zest and vanilla chai are fairly mellow and really bring out the other flavors. In short, this is like drinking liquid cake!
🌑 Overall: I adore this blend! (Though I might be a bit biased cause I’m a sucker for dessert teas!) The orange and gingerbread scents this has when steeping are amazing. Seriously, your house will smell like Christmas if you make this! Made me fell all warm and fuzzy, 10/10!
🌑 Would Recommend Drinking While: snuggled in a blanket and fantasizing about the coming fall time; or doodling in your sketchbook.
The sun was shining when she awoke. Her fitful dreams began to fade. She felt a hand holding hers. When she opened her eyes, she saw it was Elsa.
“Elsa,” she hummed, her voice unexpectedly hoarse.
“Oh my lord,” her friend cried, “You’re awake!”
Emma’s eyelids fluttered. “Elsa…” she whispered.
Her friend was pressing her hand against her forehead. Emma looked at her, waiting for her eyes to focus; Elsa’s eyes were rimmed red.
“Hush,” Elsa said, a small smile lighting up her face, “You must rest your voice.”
Nodding, Emma ran her tongue over her lips. They were dry and parched.
“You’ve been confined to bed for a fortnight now.”
“A fortnight…” Emma repeated.
“Yes, your fever-” Elsa’s voice cracked. Emma blinked until she could see clearly. Emma laid her hand on top of her friends and squeezed as tightly as she could in her weakened state. “But the physician advised us to wait. So… we have. Oh Emma.”
Tossing her arms around her, Elsa held her friend, her breathing shuddering a little.
“I’m fine, I promise.”
Next, Elsa took a wet rag and pressed it against her skin. The relief was palpable. “You’re family are at church, I offered to remain with you.”
“Thank you.” With shaking arms, Emma began to push herself to sit up. Elsa tried to keep her lying down, but Emma shooed away her hands. As she rose, flashes of her feverish days peppered her vision. Being tangled in the linens of her bed. Hot skin and cool hands. Dark, light, dark. She wanted to push away those unpleasant memories. “What have I missed?” she smiled, “A fortnight is an age in terms of gossip.”
The expression on her friend’s face was most unexpected. “Oh, well…”
Elsa brought her chair a little closer to the edge of the bed.
“Emma… it’s most wonderful. Captain Jones, well, he loves me. And he wants to marry.”
As you may recall, Saturday, I was dressed as Varian, and did little more than take photos and people watch that day. At one point, I was sitting inside, and this little girl, about four years old approached me, bold as brass. She looked at the wanted poster I was carting around and said, “Who’s that? Rider something, right?”
So, I seamlessly go into in-character conversation. “That’s right! Flynn Rider! He’s the greatest hero ever! I’m his biggest fan!”
She looked me up and down critically, the said, “You look like him.”
This was a little too much for my inner (and outer?) Varian’s little heart. “Oh my gosh, thank you so much! That’s the best compliment I’ve ever gotten! I’m not him, though. My name’s Varian!”
And she told me her name, and we talked for a bit before she got distracted by Elsa, who was sitting next to me, and Captain Hook, who was sitting next to her.
It was actually really cool for me to represent Varian and Tangled the Series live and in person to a little kid. ♥
I kind of don’t like the box designs for the EAH dolls or the direction
the doll designs are going in. Before, the boxes were like actual
storybooks and the dolls really looked like they came straight from the
show. Now it’s just water colors on the box and low quality dolls, which
is a little disappointing. I love the series and the characters, but
they really need to improve the design and make them how when they first
came out (or close to it).
