I just adore when our boys accidentally let slip that they talk to each other to other villagers during affair days.

Like Aaron congratulating Vic on her culinary school birthday treat, Its bleeding obvious Robert the smug doting brother he is has been bragging about this present to Aaron for ages. Lucky Vic grants Aaron a gift horse and assumes it was Adam who told him about the birthday present. Its just the sweetest thought, Aaron and Robert talking about his little sister together, cuddling up, trying to think of presents.

Robert trying to find Vic/ Adam when they eloped by hiring Harriet to spy on Cain, Accidentally revealing that Cain has form, that he helped Aaron out of the country, so he could do the same for Vic and Adam. Its so obvious that Aaron has whispered his story to Robert in the dead of the night, how lonely he felt in France, and how he needed his family around him, how Cain helped him.

It’s just so amusing to me that an affair is meant to be about sex but them two literally met up so often just to have a quick kiss and to talk about their problems.

Only one week to go before submissions for our first writing challenge open on April 2nd!

Holmes on Watson’s writing

On one hand:

“I glanced over it,” said he. “Honestly, I cannot congratulate you upon it. Detection is, or ought to be, an exact science, and should be treated in the same cold and unemotional manner. You have attempted to tinge it with romanticism, which produces much the same effect as if you worked a love-story or an elopement into the fifth proposition of Euclid.  […] Some facts should be suppressed, or at least a just sense of proportion should be observed in treating them. The only point in the case which deserved mention was the curious analytical reasoning from effects to causes by which I succeeded in unraveling it.”

“For a long time [Watson] has worried me to write an experience of my own. Perhaps I have rather invited this persecution, since I have often had occasion to point out to him how superficial are his own accounts and to accuse him of pandering to popular taste instead of confining himself rigidly to facts and figures.”

“It can’t hurt now,” was Mr. Sherlock Holmes’s comment when, for the tenth time in as many years, I [Watson] asked his leave to reveal the following narrative.

On the other:

“I am lost without my Boswell. ”

“Yes, my boy, these were all done prematurely before my biographer had come to glorify me.”

“Perhaps I shall get the credit also at some distant day when I permit my zealous historian to lay out his foolscap once more”

“I made a blunder, my dear Watson—which is, I am afraid, a more common occurrence than any one would think who only knew me through your memoirs.”

“I will do nothing serious without my trusted comrade and biographer at my elbow.”

“I should be glad that you should add this case to your annals"

“I trust that you don’t consider your collection closed.”

Maybe Holmes approval or disapproval on any given day hinged mostly on which way Holmes wanted to tease Watson.  And Watson liked to record how Holmes teased him.  Other lines?  Different thoughts?  Thanks, @fourth-garrideb, X.

westallen + third time’s the charm

I’ve had an idea for a jack/gabe brawl based on the junkenstein’s revenge formula: their wedding. It’d be set back in the height of overwatch, and a section of watchpoint Gibraltar could be converted into the setting. The wedding is interrupted by omnics/talon/talon led omnics, im not so fussy on the particulars, the point is the beautiful day is interrupted and instead of being engaged in matrimony Jack and Gabe are now engaged in combat. Ana was probably their best (wo)man so she’s there. And the fourth member of the squad could be Reinhardt or Torbjorn.

McCree would have been at the ceremony, but at the attack he took off with Fareeha (and the other guests) to protect her. This means he can also be the narrator with lines like:

“And with that explosion, the bastards ruined the cake me and the boss had spent all week making.” “And that was when Talon, bless their hearts, realised just why Jack Morrison was not a man to mess with.” And “If only the wedding party has some sort of attack that could lock onto every enemy in sight and shoot each one simultaneously. What a damn shame that dashing Jesse McCree was off protecting the lovely young Ms Amari.”

Other interactions could include:

Jack using his disappointed and mad Dad Voice on those trying to ruin this day for him. The grooms constantly talking throughout the battle. “This reminds me of the day I proposed to you” and Ana being annoyed that they couldn’t just have one peaceful day and could you two stop flirting you can get to that later tonight once we finish this. Along with Gabriel “a whole base of agents and I’m still the one cleaning up this mess” Reyes annoyed whenever their suits he made himself get shot at. And Reinhardt just wants his friends to have the greatest day ever and to move on to the reception for feasting and merriment.

Just over three months ago I married the most amazing woman. In five short days we will be living in separate states so I can finish my masters degree. I’m can’t say I’m not upset, it will be tough to be away from my little family for so long. But the semester will go by quickly and soon I will be back with a degree ready to find a career in a city we love were we can settle down and enjoy our life together.
