Shy Glances and Awkward Conversations - The First Encounter ( Punk Harry One Shot Series )
Hey look, I wrote another one shot! :) So I have a huge fondness towards Punk Harry. This isn’t a typical ‘badass’ Punk Harry fic though, he’s punk based solely on his looks. Anyways, let me know what you think please! xx
Part One of the “First” series
Seventeen-year-old Harry was a new addition to Holmes Chapel; a small village that consisted of one grocery store, a café, a small bakery, and a few other locally owned shops. All of which are situated on the main road that led in and out of town. Originally from London, his mum decided to move to Holmes Chapel because, “I want a slower pace of life, darling, and the countryside is so charming. We can get chickens, have fresh eggs everyday. Oh! How about a cow? How does that sound, poppet?” So with heavy sighs and a lot of eye rolls, Harry packed up his room and made the journey to Northern England where he would now call home.
Minutes were left as Ellie watched people pass by, the bus just cruising by. Military school, here she comes. Just another day in her miserable life. Nothing waiting for her…except for that soulmate, she supposed. What was the point of them anyway, anymore. Love in a hopeless place like this?
The teen walked off the bus, seeing a familiar face. Hoping he would get her out. Ellie should have known his answer. The soldier had his own family. Probably because of this soulmate thing going on….What even caused this anyway? It was stupid. Everyone just needed to survive and repopulate…
Maybe that’s why this thing was here.
It was in those precious minutes that Ellie had come across these boys, pushing her down to the ground. Angry that she had let it happen, the auburn slowly stood up to hopefully knock the shit out of them.
‘Leave her alone!”
Beep Beep Beep
Emerald orbs widened as the dark skinned girl shouted, eventually scaring off the boys as Ellie slowly trailed wide eyes to her numbers. All zeroes. Those eyes trailed to the other girls wrist, seeing that they flashed the same numbers.
Ellie felt kind of awkward, almost flustered as she backed away. Wanting to reject the help. “I could have done it myself.” The auburn called out to the other, quite rudely.
Riley rolled her eyes. She had been waiting for forever to find out who the person she was supposed to spend her life with would be. And of course, she was stuck with this girl. For now, she would give the girl a break and blame it on nerves.
The older girl had been nervous as well. Who wouldn’t be when their numbers were close to zero? She still studied the auburn, watching as the girl backed away. Riley sighed. She probably blew it. They always said the first impression was the most important.
“I think this is the part where you thank me for saving your ass.” She inched towards the other girl as she spoke. She had so many questions she wanted to ask this stranger. Most importantly, why was she matched up with a girl? “No need to be rude, kid. How old are you?”
Calling the girl 'kid’ probably wasn’t the wisest idea, especially when it was clear she had a temper on her. She couldn’t take it back now.
