ellie look at how bad it is i gave up after last night

anonymous asked:

Hi hi! Could you do a request of the RFA+saeran+V were they and MC get stuck in an elevator? Thank you!

This sounds silly and I love it (assuming in all these these the emergency button works and it’s just a matter of time to wait for help to come)
-Before after endings-
~Mod L

Yoosung
♡ panIC
♡ Tries to push a floor button in hopes that it’ll fix it
♡ When it doesn’t he ends up pressing every single button
♡ “YooSUNG NO-”
♡ “Maybe it’ll work?… Does this mean I don’t have to go to class?”
♡ Once he realizes that he seems to be a lot more okay with the situation
♡ He had his bag with him, and you convinced him to let you help him study
♡ You ended up with both of you sitting on the floor with his papers scattered everywhere
♡ You didn’t necessarily know much more than he did but you kept his mind on track
♡ He impressed you with how well he did his work
♡ After a while he was siting with his back against the wall doing his work and you leaning against him on your phone
♡ The sound of a worker coming from the speaker scared the hell out of you both
♡ Once you heard you two would be getting out soon you both scrambled to pick up Yoosung’s papers, which were everywhere at that point

Zen
♡ He has practice that night
♡ Oh no
♡ “Zenny, it’s only one practice-”
♡ “But I’ve never missed a single one!”
♡ “Then practice with me!”
♡ He carries around the script with him of course so you two both plop down on the ground to read it together
♡ You’re not an actor/actress so you reading some of the lines were a bit silly
♡ Regardless you two have some fun with it
♡ To compensate you made your acting incredibly over the top and dramatic
♡ Zen is an amazing actor but you’re his absolute weakness
♡ He couldn’t help but laugh at your acting and soon you two were just a giggling mess
♡ One thing lead to another
♡ Make out in the elevator?
♡ Make out in the elevator
♡ Thankfully rescue found you two before anything else happens

Jumin
♡ He cannot b e l i e v e
♡ He is stuck in an elevator? In his own building? The disrespect
♡ You just watched him, mildly amused as he tried to call someone without any cell service and reluctantly called for help with the emergency buttons
♡ He was rubbing his temples in frustration when he realized
♡ He’s in an elevator? Alone with you? With no work?
♡ Maybe this isn’t as bad as it seems
♡ Lately he had been so busy you two barely had time together
♡ So he definitely took advantage of this this
♡ It didn’t take long after this realization for him to be on you
♡ He had to resist the urge to go past kissing, but oh man was it passionate
♡ Unfortunately for you two/fortunately  with the CEO being the one stuck it didn’t take long for rescue to come
♡ But you two picked it back up as soon as Jumin got home that night

Jaehee
♡ Thank god it happened on her way out of a meeting rather than before one
♡ Regardless there was still a pile of papers waiting for her on her desk
♡ Jaehee furiously pressed the button before sighing and leaning against the back wall with you
♡ You convinced her to sit with you and relax and you would try to call Jumin
♡ She leaned against you while you dialed him
♡ You tried calling him a few times with no service and eventually gave up
♡ “Jaehee, he’s not answering so-”
♡ You quickly stopped talking as you heard her soft snoring
♡ She had fallen asleep on your shoulder
♡ You didn’t want to move to see her out of fear of waking up but you saw her in the door reflection
♡ Ohmygod she’s so cute
♡ You leaned your head against hers and had to fight the urge to fall asleep yourself
♡ Jaehee got so little rest you both felt good she could get some sleep but felt bad at how overworked she was
♡ The sound of her sleeping was so relaxing you ended up falling asleep yourself
♡ You both enjoyed some sleep until you were woken up by the sound of someone’s voice over the speaker telling you you were about to be saved
♡ You quickly woke up Jaehee and so you two could compose yourselves before anyone saw you two
♡ You both felt refreshed yet sore from the awkward position you fell asleep in

Seven
♡ “WE’RE GONNA BE STUCK IN HERE FOREVER”
♡ “Seven-”
♡ “WHAT IF WE STARVE TO DEATH”
♡ “Help is on the way-”
♡ “WERE GONNA DIE IN HERE”
♡ He was sprawled out across the floor crying in despair
♡ It was completely up to you to call for help
♡ While talking on the speaker he crawled over and hugged the bottom half of your body
♡ Once it just a matter of waiting for rescue to come Seven attempted to set up a fort with his jacket and was making audio recordings on his phone
♡ “Day one of being trapped. Our supplies and hope are running low. Send help”.
♡ Has a bag of Honey Buddha Chips with him because of course he does
♡ “Okay now if we ration this out between the two of us it can last us about two weeks!”
♡ “Day one of being trapped. It’s been ten minutes since log one. I’ve eaten all the rations. Death is imminent. Tell Elly I love her”.
♡ After having to formally ask permission, Seven lets you in his jacket fort
♡ You two huddled under there until you were eventually saved

Saeran
♡ He’s uncOMFORTABLE
♡ He just felt thankful that you were the only other person there
♡ He just kept to the corner while you used the buttons to call for help and felt dread when you told him it would be a while until you two would be able to get out
♡  Saeran didn’t like being stuck anywhere, and tried to hide it as he sulked
♡ As he looked around he noticed the hatch in the top of the elevator
♡ “Why don’t we go out there?”
♡ “Because it’s actually pretty dangerous. And help is on the way”.
♡ “But I wanna”.
♡ He was a bit taken aback when you laughed at his response
♡ That wasn’t the the effect he was going for but he loved the sound of your laugh
♡ It helped him calm down a bit
♡ You noticed that he seemed uneasy so you cozied up to him
♡ It was soft cuddles and small kisses until you were rescued

V
♡ He gets so adorably worried
♡ “Are you okay? Can we call for help from in here? Can I help you with anything? Will you be okay waiting in here?”
♡ He just wants you to be comfortable the sweetheart
♡ His heart is too big
♡ Gives you his jacket even when it’s not cold
♡ After waiting he insists you sit with him even when you’re not objecting?
♡ Tries to make a terrible elevator room as comfortable as he can
♡ It actually kind of works?
♡ He has no idea how long it’ll take to get out so he just tries to comfort you the whole time
♡ Which ends up in you comforting him so he’s not as stressed out about you
♡ It’s a give/take kinda thing
♡ After a while you two just end talking and laughing together until you’re saved

157. “I thought I knew you but now? I don’t know…”
158. “Respect and trust go both ways.”
159. “Oh ye of little faith.”
160. “Well, I just put 2 and 2 together…”
161. “It’s a stupid stupid idea.”
162. “Why do I let you talk me into these things?”
163. “When are you going to stop pretending that nothing ever hurts you?”
164. “Who put you in charge?”
165. “What did your last slave die of?”
166. “In your dreams.”
167. “We make a pretty good team you and me.”
168. “Leave it. It’s not worth it.”
169. “I didn’t want to get you involved.”
170. “I shouldn’t have come…”
171. “We know how it’s going to end…we always have…”
172. “Do you know what’s it’s like? Wanting to give up but knowing you can’t because everyone else needs you to be strong.”
173. “I’m guessing that wasn’t part of the plan.”
174. “I haven’t got time for this.”
175. “What happened to being one of the good guys?”
176. “What was that you just threw at me.”
177. “If I have to do this then so do you.”
178. “Are you angry?”
179. “Why are you being so nice to me?”
180. “What if this isn’t how it’s supposed to be? What if we’re just clutching at whatever time we’ve got?”
181. “Maybe I wasn’t meant to have friends…maybe I’m supposed to be alone?”
182. “Ugh I do not have an interest in football I can’t believe you made me come here.”
183. “I’m too late aren’t I?”
184. “Don’t quote 'Only Fools And Horses’ at me I’m trying to be dramatic.”
185. “Even if I wasn’t awake I would be now.”
186. “I fall for it every time.”
187. “Don’t ever do that to me again!”
188. “Are you safe? Where you are now…tell me that if nothing else. Are you safe?”
189. “I want my family back.”
190. “I’m just tired.”
191. “I bet you think you’re funny.”
192. “Real monsters are human…learnt that a long time ago.”
193. “I had a weird dream about you last night.”
194. “If you’re going to have your friends round you’ve got to play nice.”
195. “Oh well that’s made me feel much better.”
196. “Did they lay a finger on you?”
197. “Of all the things to be hereditary.”
198. “You owe me a new door.”
199. “I’m going to bed because I can’t cope with this anymore.”
200. “Next time an idea forms in that head of yours share it with the group.”
201. “text me when you get there.”
202. “In hindsight it wasn’t my best idea.”
203. “Is that my hoodie?”
204. “Excuse me but let me get this straight. You want me to sleep here? In the haunted house?!”
205. “Okay well that’s broken.”
206. “But…it was so real…”
207. “Look, I appreciate you trying to be kind but you’re really not helping…”
208. “Drive!”
209. “Well this is it. This is how it ends!”
210. “Don’t look at me in that tone of voice.”
211. “How many energy drinks have you had?”
212. “As the adult here I shouldn’t be encouraging this.”
213. “Okay so we just follow the recipe. I mean how hard can it be?”
214. “Hi. Yeah. I’m lost and have less than £10 on me and my phone is on 3% Erm. Help. Please…”
215. “What the fluffing beans was that?”
216. “My stress levels reached crying in McDonalds yesterday but apart from that I’m fine.”
217. “Why does coming to a fair make me feel 12 years old?”
218. “I wanted to tell you. I really did. But how could I?”
219. “I was falling apart and no one could tell…”
220. “I’m you’re real dad/mum.”
221. “Well…this has certainly been the most entertaining evening…”
222. “I’ve seen enough episodes of Poirot to know nothing good ever happens on a train.”
223. “When are you going to realise that what you do effects everyone around you?”
224. “The memories hurt more.”
225. “I wish I’d just…I wish I’d done more whilst I had the chance…”
226. “We’re best friends because our parents could not cope with us as twins.”
227. “We’ve all lived through our own horrors and I think, no matter how fast we run, they’ll always catch up with us in the end.”
228. “I was replaceable…”
229. “Someone just ran us off the road.”
230. “If we’re going we have to go now.”
231. “I knew someone was missing from my life. I just didn’t know who…”
232. “We were young and messed up.”
233. “What do you know? You don’t know anything!”
234. “I wish I’d never met you.”
235. “I was scared you’d leave.”
236. “I don’t like the person I’ve become.”
237. “Why do you even put up with me?”
238. “He/she’s better off without me.”
239. “When did everything become so tragic.”
240. “Everyone has that story they never tell.”
241. “I’m leaving. I’m sorry but…i just can’t do this anymore..
242. "If you’re gonna be like that do it yourself.”
243. “Why do I let him/her treat me like that?”
244. “I’ll take them to school today.”
245. “I’m sick of everyone thinking I’m someone I’m not.”
246. “Just give me your hand.”
247. “Don’t do this…”
248. “You were always there when I needed you.”
249. “Mind if I join?”
250. “Maybe we’ll just have to figure this out together.”
251. “I heard this song and thought of you.”
252. “I’ll be back before you know it.”
253. “I’ll get this.”
254. “Just…take care of yourself. If you do one thing for me.”
255. “Out of all the things I thought I’d prepared myself for…I never expected to fall in love with you…”
256. “I can’t forget you.”
257. “I did this for you. All of this! Don’t you understand?”
258. “I may be a little drunk…”
259. “You look like you need a hug.”
260. “Try not to fall over.”
261. “Do you know how long I’ve been trying to tell you I’m hopelessly in love with you?”
262. “Well if you didn’t move it and I didn’t move it then who did?”
263. “Ah, the plot thickens.”
264. “Just shut up and get in the car.”
265. “Please let me survive this with a shred of dignity in tact.”
266. “But I dealt with it last time.”
267. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
268. “You will call if you need me, won’t you?”
269. “Okay I admit it. I’m worried. I’d hate for anything to happen to you…”
270. “Have I told you how much I love you today?”
271. “How long have we owned this?”
272. “You’re quiet. What’s wrong?”
273. “Move over. I am not going top and tails with you.”
274. “They’re never going to hurt you again.”
275. “I am no where near drunk enough to be agreeing to this.”
276. “I made the excuse of having to baby sit. Though looking at you I don’t think it was that much of a lie.”
277. “Power cuts are all fun and games until the last candle goes out.”
278. “For god’s sake take some responsibility!”
279. “Don’t go to sleep. Stay awake and talk to me.”
280. “I’ll be home soon. I promise.”

"Who were you with?"

Another one I’ve spun out in my prompt requests. Warning on triggers for domestic abuse etc. There’s no violence in that particular part but it’s more mental, just for info. Not really proofread but I like spinning out things in thirty minutes on a Sunday night so here you go…x

11. Who Were You With?

You didn’t want to keep it from him but you knew it wasn’t going to be the best conversation you would ever have with him if you did bring it up. Anyway, what he didn’t know, wouldn’t hurt him, and Harry never mixed with the group you were out with on that Friday evening anyway, so it wasn’t like he would find out. In the private members’ club, no photos had been taken, so it wasn’t as though any photos were going to appear online either.

It wasn’t your fault either that some people you didn’t want to bump in to had turned up without warning. Whether they’d been invited by one of your friends or whether they just happened to be going out coincidentally wasn’t, and wouldn’t be, important to Harry. He wasn’t controlling nor was he disguising any behaviour under the pretence of being protective; you knew the signs of that all too well, but he did want to keep you safe, particularly from your ex-boyfriend, Mike.

Mike was bad news.

Help! Not Just Anybody

Props to @louiseeleanorbee for helping me come up with the title way back when I wrote this.

Also…. So Y/N was Ella’s Mom in Secrets And Lies but in this story it’s a COMPLETELY different character. I was gonna use an OC but in my experience, people prefer reader characters sooo… Don’t get confused.

“How many more have we got left?” Spencer asked JJ with a loud sigh.

His friend look at the page in front of her and squinted. “Two. The next one should be along any second now. I’ll go put another coffee on whilst we wait. You doing okay?”

Reid nodded, grasping Jen’s hand when she squeezed his shoulder as she stood.

“I’m good. Just tired. And fed up of listening to people tell me how they’d raise my daughter for me. And then seeing the judgement on their face when they hear about her sister.”

“What’s funny is watching them struggle to hide their judgement. From two profilers at that. Nah, don’t think so,” JJ grinned at him, collecting their mugs.

“You’re doing the right thing Spence. A live in nanny will help you so much. And it’s not like you can’t afford it. You won’t have to worry about finding last minute sitters or having to run Ella over to Georgia or Amanda in the middle of the night. And I know you’ve missed being out in the field.”

“I know. It just….it feels like I’m asking someone to replace her mom. And that’s not right.”

Jennifer tilted her head to the side and gave Spencer another smile, a sadder one this time.

“You’re not though and she knows that. But you miss your job and Hotch can’t keep you out of the field forever, not unless you switch departments. And it’s not often were out of state for more than two or three days at most recently. I can’t remember the last long one…. ”

“Seventeen months and four days ago. We were out for thirteen days. The Edison Strangler.”

“See, good run. And you’re offering a great deal here. Accommodation, a car, an amazing salary. Jessica was doing all of that for free when she was looking after Jack. And you can’t rely on Georgia or Amanda forever. Amanda loves her grandchild to pieces but she’s getting on a bit herself and expecting her to take care of a nine year old constantly is a bit much.”

Reid shoved his hands through his hair. “I know, I know that you’re right. And I’m sure once we find the right one I’ll feel better about this.”

“You will, I promise. Now, coffee?”

JJ left the room leaving Spencer to his thoughts. He still wasn’t sure how he felt about having a stranger live with them and looking after Ella but both JJ and Georgia had convinced him that it was the right thing to do. Gee would still have Ella on the last weekend of the month but she couldn’t keep picking her up from school for him, not now that she had gone back to work full time. It hadn’t been so bad before when the girls were at the same school but when Gee had remarried and moved in with her new husband it meant a new school district for Ellie.

After Ella’s mom had died and Spencer had finally managed to pull his head together enough to care for his daughter, he’d made the decision to move Ella and him to a two storey town house near to his old home with Georgia, changing her schools so that she was in the same one as Ellie. But now, he hadn’t wanted to uproot her again, she’d already changed schools twice and although Ella and Ellie were obviously close, they hadn’t actually been in the same class so had both made other friends. It didn’t seem fair to make her change schools just so that it would be easier on him because she could go home with Ellie and wait there until Spencer could collect her. So for the past six months Spencer had been relying on Ella’s Grandma Amanda to travel across town to pick her up or Georgia and Tim, Gee’s new husband, to watch her until he could get home from work. Occasionally even Will would pitch in and Ella would spend time with Henry.

It was all affecting Spencer and Ella badly. When he had free time he wanted to be able to spend it with Ella, and when it was his weekends to have Ellie he wanted to be able to take the girls out. Instead, because he was rarely at home until late in the week because of work and then having to drive to various places to collect Ella from whichever caregiver was looking after her, chores were piling up which meant he needed to spend time doing them. He was also neglecting his job because he was constantly having to think about making sure he was in a certain place at a certain time, or what things he needed to do that night before he could finally rest. Hotch had been fantastic about letting Spencer stay at HQ but that wasn’t what Spencer had signed up for when he joined the FBI. He actually enjoyed travelling to the different states on cases but because of his situation, he’d had to pull back from that a lot. And so JJ had suggested he look into a nannying service. He had the room at home for a live in and he could afford it. Having someone there all the time would make things easier for him and Ella, she could come home from school and start her homework straight away and be in her own home. And as part of the role would be basic housekeeping, he wouldn’t have to worry about chores so could spend more time with Ella, and Ellie when he had her.

He was just apprehensive about having someone in his home with him. But he could see the benefits of it so had finally called JJ and had sh to and Derek help him redecorate and kit out the spare bedroom, as well as contacting agencies to put in ads. As Ella’s godmother, JJ was helping with the interviews although he could tell that she was getting exasperated with him. They’d interviewed last weekend too and none of the eight applicants they’d seen had been right in his eyes. They’d seen another five today, with two more to go. Hearing a knock on the front door he realised that the next applicant had arrived. He sighed deeply to himself.

Y/N had been sitting in her car for the last twenty five minutes, parked slightly up the road from the home of her next potential employer.

Her current family that she’d been with for four years were leaving for England in three weeks time and although she’d been offered positions with three other families, she hadn’t felt that initial click with the parents that she liked to. Whilst her main focus was of course the children she’d be looking after, Y/N had found that most children liked her and that she could adapt to them. It was the parents that were the problem. If she couldn’t work with them, she wouldn’t enjoy the job and that would have a negative effect on the children and her. And she wanted to be happy with her work, especially when it was one that involved her living in on the job.

Her next prospective employer was Dr Spencer Reid of the FBI. Her existing employers had actually informed her of the current new position, suggesting she go for it. The mom of her current charges had heard about the job from another mom at the school, a woman known as Jen. Jen was one of Dr Reid’s colleagues and friend, and had asked that Y/N go and interview when she learned that she wouldn’t be joining the family in England.

Y/N had done her research on the man, discovering that he was 37 years of age and had numerous degrees and accreditations, more than seemed humanly possible for a man his age who’d had a full time position within the FBI since he was 24. His resume was impressive and sightly intimidating to her but she wasn’t going to let that show. Her lack of degrees and honours had no reflection on her abilities as a caregiver. Interestingly enough the articles she’d read had not mentioned the fact that he was father, only stating that he was divorced and resided in Virginia. She guessed that given his job he liked to keep as much of his personal life as private as he could.

Checking her appearance in the rear view mirror a final time, Y/N gathered her bag and her resume up, locking her car and making her way to the front door. She was surprised when a pretty blonde woman answered the door, a woman she recognised from the gates of the school. She wasn’t there often but when she was, her son would always run to her beaming.

“Hi. I’m JJ. You must be Y/N?” her smile was welcoming and Y/N grinned back, extending her hand to be shook.

“Hello! Yes, I am. I recognise you from Green Acres.”

“Ah yes, Henry loves it there. Come on through and I’ll take you in to meet Spencer. I’ll pre warn you now, he’s a little cranky. This is the second weekend of interviewing.”

JJ was feeling optimistic about this applicant. Another school mom that she talked to had recommended her, singing her praises and lamenting how sad the family were that they couldn’t convince Y/N to join them in England. Jen had seen her too at the school gates, picking up her charges and they always seemed pleased to see her. Maybe that families loss would be Spencer and Ella’s gain.

JJ led Y/N through to dining room to where Spencer was sitting gripping a cup of coffee like his life depended on it. She felt bad for her friend, but she truly believed this was best option if Reid wanted to keep working at the BAU.

“Spencer, this is Y/F/N. Y/N, this is Dr Spencer Reid.”

Y/N crossed the room quickly and held her hand out to him, surprised when he didn’t take it. Behind her she heard JJ sigh.

“He has a thing about hand shaking…. ”

“The amount of bacteria passed during a single handshake is….” the man began to speak.

“Spencer, really? I’ve heard you say that line to every single applicant. You really should just shake their hands, it’s polite.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. Don’t worry Dr Reid, I completely understand,” Y/N did to an extent, the amount of germs and bacteria the human came into contact with each day was immense and she always drilled good cleanliness and hygiene practices into her charges, carrying bottles of antibacterial gel in her bag at all times.

JJ touched her arm and gestured to one of the chairs. “Please, take a seat. Can I get you a drink or anything?”

“I’m fine actually, thank you. I have bottled water in my bag, one of the habits of being a nanny, always having snacks and drinks with you wherever you go.”

She didn’t mention the apple, boxes of raisins and the zip lock bag of carrot sticks she also had, or the bag of Reeses miniature pieces.

“Alrighty then,” JJ pulled up the seat next to Dr Reid. “Let’s begin. I’m Ella’s godmother, so I’m helping Spencer out. We’re trying to keep this relatively informal. If you could just tell us about yourself and how you came into this profession?”

“Okay, erm… So I’m 26 years old and I’ve been nannying for eight years with two separate families.”

“So you started when you were eighteen?” Dr Reid furrowed his brow slightly.

“Yes,“ Y/N replied, knowing where this was going.

“Did you not go to college?” he asked.

Had he not even read her resume at all?

“Nope.”

“Can I asked why not?”

“You can. You see, I had a bit of a turbulent time during my teenage years, I’m not going to lie and cover that up. My mom passed away when I was eleven leaving my dad and I, and my three younger siblings. Up until I was fifteen I was the good little daughter, helping to raise them and ultimately taking over from my mother. It felt natural to me, I’m great with kids hence why I do what I do. Then a few months after my fifteenth birthday I seemed to hit a brick wall and suddenly careered drastically off course. I started hanging with a bad crowd at school, skipping classes and generally being a teenage tearaway. My school work slipped massively and I suddenly had no ambition in life. I finally managed to pull myself back a few months before graduation but by then it was too late. I barely scraped together enough credits to graduate.”

Y/N paused to take a sip from her water bottle that she’d pulled from her bag.

“After I left school I started waitressing at this little diner. A family used to come in at least three times a week. A mom and her two kids. They were regulars, the mom worked long hours so didn’t want to waste time to home cooking so she took the kids out to eat most nights, and the dad worked away a lot. I started making small talk with them and getting to know them and after around four months, the mom approached me and asked if I’d ever consider nannying. She’d seen how good I was with her kids. She loved her job dearly but was feeling pressure to give it up because she felt like she was neglecting her kids. They had different sitters a few nights a week and she was constantly being let down. They had a spare room at the house and she offered me a better wage than what I was making at the diner. It was a no brainer really. I ended up staying with them for five years, until the youngest was headed off to middle school. I still see the family regularly. During my time with them, I completed some courses at the community college so I at least had some basic qualifications. I found my latest family, the Thompsons through my first job. The moms worked together. I’ve been with them for three years and would stay with them longer still except I don’t wish to move to another country despite the very attractive package they’ve offered me to go. My own family and friends are here, and two years ago I started taking a weekend class at the college, working towards a degree in psychology. It involves some online learning modules which I’ve been doing when the children were at school. Eventually I want to become a guidance counsellor so hopefully I can help other children make the right decisions instead of flying off the handles like I did.”

Both JJ and Dr Reid were nodding by the time she finished, JJ a genuine looking smile on her face. JJ then began to explain the ins and outs of what this particular position would entail. Only one child which Y/N wasn’t used to, but she would be on call pretty much all the time. Due to the nature of their jobs Dr Reid could be away for days at a time.

“The last weekend of every month you’d have free though. My ex wife looks after Ella then and she would still be on call for emergencies as would Ella’s grandmother. I am home most weekends, in recent months our unsubs seem to have been thoughtful enough to keep their activities to weekdays,” Dr Reid chuckled nervously at his joke and Y/N indulged him with a grin.

“Ella’s mom only has her once a month?” she did ask, feeling confused.

“Erm no,” a glance between Dr Reid and JJ.

“Ella’s mom passed away four years ago. Ella spends time with my ex wife so she can see her sister. You’ll meet her too and part of your role could also entail looking after her if I’m called into work suddenly on the weekends I have her. That’s only happened a handful of times though,” he explained.

“Oh okay. So how old is Ella’s sister?”

“She’s also nine. Ellie is four months younger than Ella…. ”

Y/N’s brain did the maths and took in the slightly sheepish look on the man’s face, noticing how attractive he actually was. It sounded like Dr Reid hadn’t quite been the oh so faithful husband which was odd. Y/N was no expert but she somehow didn’t expect that from the man sat in front of her, but then again people change.

Dr Reid sighed loudly, an annoyed look crossing his features.

“I can see you judging me. The same look every applicant has had so far when I’ve mentioned Ellie.”

He was right, she was.

“Sorry,” Y/N apologised. “I thought I was doing a better job of hiding my judgement, I guess I’d have to work on that being around a profiler. You do kinda deserve it though, you’ve got to at least expect it, especially when you don’t give the whole story.”

Dr Reid looked shocked and JJ’s grin grew wider. Every other applicant had stumbled over their words and blushed when Spencer had called them out on it, which he’d done every single time. He knew he deserved the judgement, the girl was right. This one though, was the first applicant to actually respond honestly and openly to his accusations.

Jen was pleasantly surprised though when Spencer pushed back his chair and stood.

“Y/N, would you like a tour of the house? I can show you the bedroom that would be yours if you accept the job offer, and you can see Ella’s room.”

“Wait… Job offer? Is the interview over?”

Dr Reid nodded. “It is for me at least. I appreciate how honest you’ve been with me about your past, and I respect that you didn’t try to lie when I called you out just then. As a profiler, you learn to read people and from what I’m reading from you, I think you’d be very good for my daughter. If you want the job, it’s yours.”

A silent ‘yes’ went through JJ and she resisted the urge to fist pump when Y/N stood up next to him.

“Show me my new bedroom then, Dr Reid.”

“Please, it’s Spencer.”

Alec Hardy Headcanons #9 - Hardy and Ellie’s relationship post-finale

After Ellie discovers Alec was on a date (the infamous Tinder date), she tries to set him up with some women. Not very successfully.

I get shippy with these two sometimes. A miracle I know, but I just can’t help it.

I can imagine him, miserably trying to get through an impromptu dinner date at Ellie’s as she tries of set him up with one of her divorced friends. He is as polite as he is able to muster until the woman leaves.

“But she has blond hair,” Ellie said as she rinsed the dishes and put them in the dishwasher.

“What does that have to do with anything?” he said, frustrated.

“You like it,” she said, shrugging.

“Just because the last one had it, doesn’t mean it’s an obsession,” he said, flushed.

“Whatever. She’s been a mate since school, and she was one of the prettiest girls I know. Everyone was mad for her then. She’s still gorgeous.”

He put her hand on her wrist, stilling her. Ellie’s eyes widened, but she did not shake him off. His touch was warm, his grip firm. It was the first time since her husband that a man who wasn’t her father had touched her with any kind of urgency.

“It’s too soon,” he said. She looked down at his hand, wrapped so easy around her wrist. He let go, feeling self-conscious. “It was Daisy’s idea to see her. I gave it a try, but I’m not ready.”

Oddly, she insisted. “But it’s been nearly four years,” she said. “Aren’t you burs-” she stopped abruptly as she noticed the pink spreading in his cheeks. She was going to ask whether he was bursting after going without for so long. But hadn’t she gone without as long as him?

That one-night stand at the cottage did not count.

She scrubbed aggressively at the roasting pan and resisted the urge to run upstairs and curse and kick things. Maybe this was a bad idea. Why had she gotten involved? She still felt the fading heat of his touch on her skin, even though her hands were immersed in hot water.

“Thank you for dinner. As for her, you put me in an awkward spot,” he said.

“Don’t you worry yourself. She told me it was a no-go before she walked out.”

His cheek twitched. She was too blunt sometimes.

“You’re better off. She used to be a bit of a slag,” she said. Her eyes burned. She wasn’t one to slutshame, but she had slept with two guys that she confessed she liked in school. Not one, but two. Still, they occasionally had brunch, or a playdate with the children. She had been no great beauty in secondary school. She didn’t blame her.

“I should be going,” he said, giving her a lingering look. The warm light in the kitchen hitting her curls gave her a golden halo. Her brown eyes were jewel-like with nervous tears. He hated making her feel bad. More and more.

“I packed Daisy some leftovers,” she said, pointing to a foil-covered plate on the counter. “She likes roast, right?”

“Loves it,” he said. Daisy didn’t like beef, but it didn’t matter - he meant to eat every bite. Ellie’s cooking was delicious, most days.

She dried her hands and walked him to the door. He stood outside awkwardly and put his hands in pockets.

“Thank you for dinner,” he said. “I’m … I’m sorry I’m such a twat sometimes.”

She leaned against the threshold and smiled at him. Just as she did, the wind blew the scent of her roses to him. The sudden, intense quivering of his heart made him look down at his shoes.

“Just as long as you recognize it,” she said, joking. “Her loss anyway.”

He guffawed. “Uhuh. Shitface is at it again,” he said, trying to keep the mood going. He might want to stay at her open door forever.

She wrinkled her nose. “I shouldn’t have told you that. It wasn’t right.”

“Being honest?” he said, leaning into the other side of the door.

“It’s cruel. And stupid. And bloody immature, to be honest,” she said, waving it away.

“I was an asshole,” he said, shrugging. “The stress was killing me.”

“You were doing too much. Claire was an ungrateful bitch,” she said. He took a step back. Again, she spoke too frankly, but who cares. She couldn’t confess to the tiny, sharp stab of jealousy she felt when she first saw Claire, secreted away at that idyllic cottage at such great expense by him. She nearly killed Hardy with her twisted seduction game. But who could resist a pretty face, and those doe eyes?

Even she had been sucked in … for a bit.

“Fun fact: she was a shitty hairdresser,” she said, resisting the urge to twist her mouth. He was surprised by her bitterness, but could he blame her? She had suffered Claire’s lies as well, but for far less time. Ellie was clever enough to sift through the emotional detritus he couldn’t bear to touch and solve the goddamned mystery in weeks.

He owed her his life. Perhaps not physically, but in every other significant way.

“I’m sorry,” He didn’t know what else to say.

“For what?”

“That I threw you in the middle of that,” she said. “That you did what you did to gain her trust, and get to the truth.” He looked down at his feet again, and there was a funny energy in the air.

“It wasn’t so hard. She didn’t think me a threat. It’s my go-to in with women like her,” she said. He couldn’t know. It was impossible.

“What’s all this,” she said, suddenly frustrated. She waggled her finger at him. “What are you talking about? I did my job.”

“You went above and beyond,” he said.

Her heart was dropping in slow motion.

“Don’t try to be mysterious. As much as you might insist on it, it does not suit you.”

“I know about that girl’s night. And the drinking. And the men.”

“Fuck!” she said, and slapped the door. Gladly, her boys were gone. “Fuckfuckfuck-”

He grabbed her hands and pressed them to her chest. “Stop it!” His eyes were filled with concern. She tried to fight him, but he held on.

“How do you know?” Her pretty face was mottled and red. He couldn’t tell whether it was rage or shame. Or both.

He sighed. “Claire called me at 2 am. 999, so i answered. And she told me. That very night.” He didn’t tell her that she had been lurid with her details, and gone on for 5 minutes about frenzied kissing in the cab and her loud moans and groans drifting through the cottage walls. Claire said Ellie was a wanton slut, grabbing the strange man’s cock on their way home. She said Ellie couldn’t wait to get to the bedroom, and she got on her knees for him in the sitting room.

Claire had said many things, but Claire was a liar. Still, it made him feel weird. How about if it was true? Ellie was a fiery woman whose life had imploded in the worst way. Maybe she deserved to have some fun. It was far more than he could give her at the time, anyway. All he gave her were long silences, and his burdens.

A solitary tear dripped down her cheek, but her jaw was clenched against the sob that made her chest burn.

“That cunt,” she said softly. Although his gaze warmed her face, she couldn’t look at him.

“You’re a grown woman. It happens every day,” he said, trying to comfort her.

“Not to me. I don’t do that.” She ripped her hands away and tried to close the door, but he slid back inside.

“Fuck off, Hardy,” she said, walking to the kitchen. She yanked open the garden door and was lost in the jungle of overgrown roses. He stood at the door and looked into the darkness.

Her garden was messy, since Joe had been the one to tend to it. Since then, no one bothered. The nearly rotted out trellis was bowed over with the weight of roses in full bloom. The scent was so strong it made him woozy.

When he heard the first strangled sob, he stepped outside and followed the sound. Thorns caught at his sleeves, and dried leaves and petals crunched under his shoes, releasing the scent of decaying sweetness.

“Miller,” he said, and nearly fell over as he walked into a little clearing in the wall of wild roses. She sat on the ground, yanking tufts of overgrown grass and throwing it. She wept quietly, her lower lip quivering like a child’s.

“Go away, Shitface,” she said, but she was too weak to do more than cry.

He knelt beside her, his face a mask of sympathy. Again, he upset her. He fought the urge to run the other way and ghosted his hands over her tear-wet cheeks.

“Please don’t cry,” he said. “I shouldn’t have told you,” he said, sitting down. She sniffled and threw a clump of grass at him.

“What does it matter? You know. I don’t know why I thought she’d keep such a juicy tidbit to herself,” she said, and wept harder. “Jesus, I’m an idiot. A stupid, gross idiot.” She lay back. Her tears blurred the starlight. “I shouldn’t have gotten so involved, but I was desperate for validation. I felt it, as it was happening -”

“I hit on Becca Fisher,” Hardy said, cutting her off.

She stopped rambling and sat up. “What?”

“When I was still at the inn. I passed out, and she told the paramedics she was my wife, and sat with me for a bit at the hospital. I was desperate, and miserable, and I thought I was gonna die. So I did it.”

“Jesus,” Ellie said.

“Obviously, it was a humiliating disaster. She laughed at me. Tried to cover it up with some excuse about my heart, but she was horrified,” he said. The words spilled out of his mouth quickly.

“Oh my God,” she said. She stared at him. “Becca Fisher?”

“Yes,” he said, hugging his knees. The seat of his pants started to get damp.

“Becca Fisher… ” The vicar isn’t the only one who had a go at her before she left town. She wasn’t terribly picky, but she did tend to prefer unavailable men.

“Maybe she said no because you were divorced,” she said. It was a weird way to lighten the mood, but she had nothing else.

“She dated the vicar,” he said.

“The vicar’s first love is Christ. She was merely his mistress,” she said. A corner of her mouth curled up.

“Sure,” he said, but the storm was over. He felt it.

“I won’t tell anyone,” she said, biting her lip.

“Thanks, but it’s not news. Just another spectacular failure in a life filled with them.”

“You’re not Shitface,” she said.

“You’re gonna draft the memo at work then?”

“Fuck ‘em.”

“Ooh. Choice words for your esteemed colleagues in law enforcement,” he said, plucking a rose from nearby plant. He hissed as a thorn ripped open his index finger.

“Silly bitch,” Ellie said, referring to the flower. She pulled a hankie from her cleavage and wrapped it around his finger. Her face face still shone with tears. “What are you thinking, grabbing at thornbushes in the dark?”

“But it’s a pretty flower,” he said. The rose was cupped in his palm.

“They’re a pain, is what they are,” she said, and stood up. “I’m tempted to rip every single one out by the roots.” She extended her hand to help him. He took it, and groaned dramatically as he rose. They walked quietly back to the kitchen. They stood there in silence for several seconds. He held up his finger.

“You carry handkerchiefs. How old-fashioned,” he said. The peach-colored cloth was dotted with his blood.

“I did it ever since Tom was born. Babies have all sorts of things coming out of them from every end,” she said. “Freddie’s growing now, but it’s a habit.”

He looked over her shoulder at the garden.

“Don’t rip it out,” he said.

She poured herself a glass of wine, and wiggled the bottle at him. He shook his head no.

“It was Joe’s, mostly. His gift to me when we first moved in. He said I was like them - prickly but pretty.” She gulped the wine, then cleared her throat. “That all seems like another life now. I can’t go out there. Even the smell makes me ill.”

“Roses are hard to take care of, but they’re worth it. Maybe you can get a gardener in,” he said.

“Shall I tell my housekeeper to ring one straightaway?” she said in a posh accent.

Ellie smiled at Hardy’s flushing cheeks. He was so serious, but few people knew he toppled in a light breeze. His freckles were insufferably cute. She never thought she’d find freckles endearing on a grown man, but here she was, high on wine and post-crying endorphins, considering giving that prickly ass a hug.

“Freddie likes ‘em,” she said. “I won’t go on any wine-fueled plant murdering sprees any time soon.”

Hardy’s phone beeped. He looked quickly. It was Daisy, wondering how it went.

“You told her, didn’t you?” he said to Ellie, eyes narrowed to slits.

Ellie chuckled.

“No wonder she was so preoccupied with me wearing a clean shirt and tie,” he said, shaking his head. “Both of you are bound to torture me to madness.”

She shrugged, and sighed. “The sitter will be dropping off Tom and Freddie soon.”

“Don’t you usually pick them up?” he said.

She wiggled the half-empty wine bottle again. “I figured I’d enjoy myself regardless tonight.”

He took the bottle and corked it. “Don’t drink when you’re sad. It breeds bad habits.” He thought back on his father, and sadness made his throat tight.

She downed the rest of the wine in her glass and put it in the dishwasher and leaned on the counter. He looked at her. Her long lashes were still stuck together with tears. They were standing across from each other, comfortable in the silence.

She sat up suddenly. “I’ll have that hug now,” she said. She didn’t look at him, but her arms were extended. He blinked. Was she playing with him? Her arms were steady, but her hands trembled.

He fixed his tie, he didn’t know why, then stepped into her arms. She wrapped her arms around his slim waist and squeezed. He leaned into her and squeezed harder, rocking gently back and forth, breathing the wine fumes and flowers in her hair.

He hiccuped, suddenly, and she felt it. She felt everything - the dampness from the garden, his russety skin scent and his persistent, comforting warmth. She hid her burning face on his shoulder. He held her tightly.

He was stronger than he looked. And surprisingly, there was no awkwardness in his touch.

His phone beeped again. Daisy was desperate for news. He wouldn’t have much to tell her.

“Alright, enough of that,” she said, but she extricated herself reluctantly from his arms. She smoothed her blouse and wished he hadn’t corked the wine.

“Long time coming,” he said, trolling her.

“Pfft,” she said, slamming the dishwasher closed and starting it.

“I know I’m some kind of freak of nature who balks at human contact, but not everyone is like that. If you ever need to … do that again, let me know.”

She kicked off her shoes and walked him to the door. The plate with the leftover food sat on a tiny iron table holding a wilting hosta plant.

“You want a fresh plate?” she said.

“Naw. Daisy doesn’t like beef anyway,” he said. “But it was good. Everything was good.”

She hugged herself and nodded. “Thanks, Hardy. I’ll see you tomorrow.” She closed the door slowly and walked back to the kitchen for the wine bottle. She waited until the sound of his car engine disappeared, and took it in her hands. It was still half full. If she emptied it, she would sleep a dreamless sleep.

Her eyes drifted to a splash of pale yellow on the counter - the rose he picked at his own peril. It looked so fresh and lovely on the worn wood of the cutting board. She put down the bottle and picked it up. The stem was smooth save for a solitary leaf - he had pulled off every single thorn. But when? She hadn’t noticed a thing.

He was a mysterious one, that Hardy.

She filled a glass with water and put the rose in it. Bright, sunny yellow. It was a present when Joe gave them to her. But now, it felt like a promise.

Warmth seemed to radiate from it. A thornless rose. She walked to the stairs and looked up. Her bedroom was blue, but cool. Sometimes too cool. At first that was comforting, but her limbs were beginning to crave warmth

[warmth, like Hardy’s warmth, hard-won but sincere]

She blushed, and was glad no one was there to see. The hug was good. Really good. She realized she was slightly dazed not on wine, but on it. But again, there was no one there to see, and to judge, or force her into some emotional revelation.

She went back to the kitchen and grabbed the rose, then put it on her bedside table. She lay on her side and looked at it. A simple beauty, with prickly bits silently trimmed away by fearless, gentle hands.

She smiled, slowly, and dared to caress one of the petals.

Foolhardy twat.

Strong, Chapter 6; No Good Could Come

Sorry it took me so long guys, but here it is! Catch up on AO3

:)

***

When Jughead woke that morning, it took him a moment to remember why there was a blonde girl wrapped around him.

And then it came back to him.

He turned his head slowly, as not to wake Betty, and took her in. Her leg was thrown over his waist, her head on his chest. They must have fallen asleep like this and not moved at all, he thought to himself. A smile grew on his face as he watched her sleeping form. She looked even more beautiful as she slept, and he hoped the heavy beating of his heart didn’t stir her. He glanced at the alarm clock on his bedside table. It was only 6am, but he knew his Mother would be home in a few hours, and Jellybean would definitely notice the fact that the guest bed had not been slept in.

Grudgingly, he pulled himself out from underneath her gently. She made the smallest noise at the loss of his presence, but settled back down into his pillow. He stood there for a moment, admiring how her golden hair was splayed against his pillow. She looked so innocent, wrapped in his sheets, and if he could he would just stand here all day and watch her. Instead, he grabbed his phone from the bedside table and snapped a silent photo. He slipped on a pair of sweats and snuck to the guest room. He ruffled the covers in an attempt to make the bed look slept in, satisfied with his efforts. On the way back to his own room he placed an ear to Jellybeans door, listening for any sign of activity. But of course a 14 year old would not be awake before 10am on a Sunday. He owed her a rather big, soppy apology today.

Jughead closed his own bedroom door quietly as he snuck back in, and stood against it for a moment. This was the first time he had had a girl in his own bed, and the fact that it was Betty made it far more special. But he was concerned for a moment she would worry when she woke, did they move too fast last night? The thought had crossed his mind, but damn, it just felt so right.

‘ What were you both doing, Auntie Amy?’

This is based on a prompt sent by @cizavilation to @omeliafics

Thank you @jia911 for helping to proofread this fic- you’re the best! <3

Prompt : With the girls from the Omelia group chat we were talking about the 12x21 scene where Maggie and Meredith caught Owen and Amelia at the couch naked, and given that we also know that Zola took a glimpse of them lying naked together there… the prompt is: Can someone write something related with Zola asking Amelia what they were doing there? xD

Amelia Shepherd had just returned home from a tiring day at work after having back to back consults and surgeries. As she entered her sister- in-law Meredith Grey’s house, all she could think about was a warm shower and her comfortable bed. And Owen Hunt.

She smiled to herself as she recalled the events from two nights ago.

After Owen’s heartfelt confession to her in his office about his sister Megan and how he felt responsible for her disappearance, she felt a deeper connection to him. The fact that he decided to open up to her and tell her his innermost feelings and regrets meant a lot to her. It signified that he was ready to move on to the next phase of their relationship, which involved trust and mutual understanding. After she hugged him from behind and comforted him- he relished in her comforting touch and they remained in that position for a few long minutes before he finally stood up and turned around to hug her back. The warm hug eventually escalated into a kiss. The kiss then got heated until they had to pull away from each other before someone entered the room and caught them in their intimate moment. Still in a bliss from the kiss, Amelia had casually invited Owen to grab some dinner together as she was starving. They went to a cozy Italian restaurant within walking distance of the hospital and chatted throughout dinner. Owen spoke fondly of his sister Megan, telling Amelia about wonderful childhood memories he shared with her, how she fell in love with Riggs and how his heart broke for her when she cried in his arms after discovering that Riggs cheated on her. He told Amelia that he could never forgive himself for suggesting that she get on the plane. His sister’s disappearance had affected him more than he would have liked to admit and every single day he wished for her to return safely to him.

Amelia had listened sympathetically to Owen’s story- holding his hands as a gesture of support, not interrupting him even once, which was rather uncharacteristic of her. After their scumptious dessert of icecream with chocolate pudding- Owen had invited Amelia to spend the night in his trailer. As tempting at it was for her, Amelia declined as she needed a long hot bath and a fresh pair of clothes to sleep in. Seeing Owen’s disappointed look- Amelia had the brilliant idea of inviting Owen to sleep over with her at Meredith’s house, stating the reason that both Meredith and Maggie were on call and the children and nanny were probably asleep upstairs.

RFA with a delinquent MC? Can I request that?

(ο´ω`ο)ゝ I don’t see an issue with it! Since MC seems to be an adult, I’m going to make her an adult one? Like 20 or 21? Does that still work for you? If not, message me again and I’ll make another one where’s she like some young punk delinquent! I just won’t have her romantically involved with them tho.

Yoosung

-He never really expected you to be one to steal, especially since you were helping out the RFA and what they stood for

-So when he saw you pull out something from your purse at the store the two of you were just browsing in, in the car, he nearly yelled out at you.

-”D-did you just steal that??”

-You shrugged. “Yeah. It’s over-priced anyway.”

-He just gaped at you for a moment, before just keeping quiet until the two of you got back to his place.

-Now he was just questioning everything you owned. Was it all stolen? Did you just steal from people or from stores?

-”Mc, why would you steal? What if you get caught one day?”

-”I’ve never been caught-”

-”That’s…Not my point.”

-He just didn’t know how to talk about this. You kept acting so casual about it. It certainly turned him off from you, though.

-”Mc….I’m okay with you cussing and drinking, and maybe even smoking, but…Please don’t steal. From anyone. That’s something I can’t really stand.”

-He’d probably stop viewing you as a romantic interest, and just switch his feelings for you into feelings for friendship. I don’t think he’d like a delinquent mc much…

Jaehee

-Her big time realizing it was when she was assigned to help get you ready for the RFA party.

-You looked like you had never worn a dress that was ‘girly’ in your whole life, and the glare you gave the piece of clothing helped proved her assumption.

-”Jaehee- No. No no. I am not going to wear that.”

-It took so many outfits until they found a simple black dress you agreed to wear, and even though she didn’t know much about make-up, the stuff you arrived in was not suitable as well.

-From that point on, she understood a bit more about your attitude from the chat around Zen and the others.

-When the two of you went on little coffee dates (were they dates? Friendly dates? God, she didn’t know.) you always snapped at people staring at the two of you.

-You were…Very hot headed, to say the least.

-One night the two of you were walking in town- You were walking her back to her place- when a couple of rough looking guys blocked the way.

-Jaehee was a bit intimidated, but she had ages of Judo lessons behind her.

-She was not prepared when you started chatting them up, however.

-After an awkward few minutes of her nearly squirming and you and the guys talking about some…colorful subjects… You finally waved goodbye and continued your conversation with her.

-”Mc, you know them??”

-”Yeah, they’re pretty okay. You just gotta watch out for the buzz cut one. He has too much fun with the gang’s stash.”

-Stash??? oh lord. You kept proving her first assumptions wrong each day.

-She’d lowkey be constantly worried over you.

Zen

-He found out when he called you and mentioned his bike, and the two of you had a long conversation about it.

-He brought up his old highschool gang and when you did too, he panicked.

-”You still keep in touch with them? But they’ve changed, right?”

-”Kinda. The leader stepped down but everyone still respects him. The new guy is kinda annoying but. Whatever.”

-Oh god. What??

-”Mc….Isn’t that dangerous?? You still do these things??”

-You just rolled your eyes. This coming from the used-to-be wild card? Jeez.

-He didn’t know what to think. Every now and then he’d push the idea of you not really talking to your old gang anymore, especially since they were still punks, but you always shot it down saying they were family.

-Would explain how you could hold your liquor well though….

-As long as you didn’t steal or hurt anyone, or do any hard drugs, he’d be slightly okay with it. Just be nervous when you brought it up.

Jumin

-He never thought much about it. You did dress a bit like a punk, but he pushed the thought away. He never really understood women’s fashion anyway.

-He didn’t realize or ask about it until one day you mentioned you dropped out of high school.

-”What? Do you want to keep going? I can send you to a better school than what you were going to-”

-”Noooo, no no no. I am not going back to school, especially high school. Jeez, Jumin.”

-You went on to lament on how stupid and boring it was anyway. The only good thing was your gang.

-”I’m sorry, your what?”

-Immediate disapproval. Just hands down. “Don’t keep talking to them, they’re just a bad influence.”

-”What, are you my dad now?”

-(He was last night)

-The convo would probably turn into an argument pretty quickly. He’d have to spend a while thinking of if he really wanted to date you or not…

Seven

-”Can you steal Elly for me?”

-”….no.”

-He found out and was just. Littering you with ridiculous questions. Weirdest thing you stole? Why? Stupidest thing your gang did? Weird things?

-He’d think it was funny until he found out you were still doing these things.

-And that the weirdest thing you stole was…last week??

-”Hey, come on mc, stealing isn’t cool.”

-”It is when it’s all overpriced bullshit. I’m pretty sure I’ve taken a few things from C&R branch stores.”

-Oh my god. Okay, never tell Jumin about this..

-”Yeah, but like…You’ve already stolen my heart. Isn’t that enough?”

-”…….No.”

-Regardless, he’d slowly try to ease you away from harmful bad habits. Give you spending money, never let you near one of his damn cars, hack into gang member’s phones to make sure they don’t hang out with you too much…. The small things!

-Constantly, constantly, worried.

Fourth and final part.

Part One: In between the lines  Part Two: Easy lies and simple truth  Part Three: The puzzles we create

The Light by Sara Bareilles

Dean x Reader

Word Count: 7k

A/N: Lines borrowed from Season 11 episode “Alpha and Omega” are in Bold.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I didn’t want… Bye, y/n.”

There was a bird in a nearby tree chirping incessantly. You never shot a bird before but if you had a gun on you right now, you just might. From the moment you first heard Dean’s voice, the anguish that crossed that line and swept through you like a brush fire, had canceled everything else out. You were no longer at an outdoor table for a small cafe on Massachusetts street, you were trying to get into the head of the man that you had decided only a week ago you didn’t need a lover’s connection with, that you could handle just being friends. But now, after desperately trying to get an answer out of him and receiving a declaration of a different kind that stopped your heart, the world continued to spin.

Sounds of life filtered in; soft chatter from the next table, quiet whispers from the three people you were sitting with when your phone rang, that god damn bird continued to sing like it was a beautiful day while you clutched a cell phone to your face that no longer held the voice that just sent you soaring into the clouds then plummeting back down to earth.

Three pairs of eyes stared at you when his name broke your lips, “dean.” It burned your throat, your eyes, your lungs and then somehow you screamed, “Dean?!”

You pulled the phone away and stared at the screen. Dean’s number was still there, the minutes of his last phone call dictated in white on black. His last phone call. You hit callback already knowing it wouldn’t work. It barely rang before the voicemail kicked on and you wanted to break something.

“Y/n?” Elly touched your arm gently but you still jumped. “Is everything okay?”

You studied her face, saw the real concern that pulled at her brow even though she hadn’t noticed how completely bored you were during most of the double lunch date going on before your world collapsed. You glanced at Kevin and Steve who both looked genuinely concerned but you didn’t have time for this. You needed to find Dean.

“I’m sorry, I have to go.” You squeezed her hand and grabbed your bag next to your chair, “how much do I…”

Steve grasped your hand and smiled when you looked up at him, “I’ve got it. You look like you have somewhere to be.”

You stared into his eyes for a second still amazed at the good person that met your gaze then squeezed his hand, “thank you. I’m sorry.” You stood up throwing the strap of your satchel over your shoulder as Dean’s apology echoed in your head.

“Do you need anything? Company? Are you sure you’re okay?” Elly still looked confused and scared now too.

You hugged her tightly, “thank you but I need to do this on my own. I’ll call you later.” You pulled back and gave her a smile before you took off down the sidewalk heading for the library only a few blocks down and around the corner. You tried Sam’s number and Cas multiple times on the way but both went straight to voicemail.

Hey so my mom went through my phone "secretly"(even though it's actually very obvious) and now I'm really scared. If it's not too much trouble could you write a small fic where Laurens keeps a diary or something and he finds out his dad read it?Thank

Hey bby! <333 I’m so sorry your mom invaded your privacy like that. That’s such an awful feeling, I know. I sure can write you a lil something! I hope this helps and that you’re doing okay, kiddo <333 A huge thanks to @ciceroniantrash for suggesting that John’s journal include drawings and for being the best Suffering Friend ™ a girl could ask for <333

John Laurens started keeping a diary the day of his mother’s funeral. After the service and burial, when friends and family were milling about back at the house, John’s maternal grandmother found him hiding away in his room upstairs, flipping through an old photo album of him and his parents when he was an infant.

“My sweet boy,” his grandmother said. She smoothed back his curls, still short in his youth, and kissed his forehead. “I have something for you.”

John looked up from the photos. He was still young enough to be enticed by the possibility of a present. His grandmother smiled at him.

“It’s a journal, but not just any journal.” She pulled it out from her purse and he eagerly flipped it open. “You see, they’re no lines. Journals don’t have to be just words, John, they can be images.” She tapped the album still open on his lap. “And I know you like to draw.”

John had filled that journal from his grandmother years ago. He’d filled five since then, in fact, roughly one a year. And now, at sixteen, he found he needed his journal more than ever. When his mother died, he could talk about it. People knew he was sad. They understood on some level what he was going through. But this? This… feeling? His journal was the only one he could confide in.

He opened up his current journal to a blank page.

Today Alexander did the cutest ever. We were sitting in the cafeteria when he decided to use the straw from his drink then steal the one from mine and stick them under his upper lip. When he grinned at me, I lost it. Laf and Herc rolled their eyes, but I could tell they were amused.

I wanted him to put my straw back so badly. How weird is that? How fucked up am I? But lunch ended and so did my fucked up dream.

He doodled Alex with the straws in his mouth from a few different angles. He was putting the finishing touches on the last one when there was a knock on his door.

He slammed his journal shut and swiveled around in his chair. The thing about knocks at the Laurens’ household was that they were never a question. They were a courtesy. His father barged in one second later.

“John, are you doing homework?” he asked gruffly. He eyed his son’s desk, squinting at the blue notebook atop a pile of papers. “You were doodling again, were you? We talked about this, John. It was good when you were a kid and your mother… passed. But now you’re a man. Men don’t handle their feelings with doodles.”

John nodded. He knew how this went. Just play along and it’ll all be fine.

“Anyway, I came up here to let you know that you need to pick Mary Eleanor up from theatre practice or whatever the hell she does.”

“When does she get out from rehearsal?” John asked.

His father waved his hand dismissively. “I think five. I don’t know. The driver has always gotten her.”

John wanted to be angry, but he just sighed. He wasn’t even going to ask why the driver couldn’t get her today. It didn’t matter. All that mattered was that Mary Eleanor knew someone in the family cared about her.

“Okay, I’ll leave now,” John said.

His father nodded and left the room without another word or glance. John sank back down in his chair and put his head in his hands. It was going to be a long evening. He could feel it already.

***

“And that’s when I said, ‘Paul, get that curtain off of you! This isn’t The Sound of Music!” Mary Eleanor chattered as she and John walked into the house.

John shook his head, his face sore from all the smiling he’d been doing around his sister for the past half hour. At first the smile had been for show, but that never lasted long around Mary Eleanor. She had an uncanny ability to make John laugh, no matter how he was feeling.

“Niños, hice su cena. Su padre tomó su cena en su oficina.” The cook was bustling past John and his sister, clearly in a hurry. John had seen this kind of hustle before. It meant his father was in a sour mood.

“Gracias, Señora Marquez,” John replied.

John turned to Mary Eleanor. “Lava tus manos,” he said. She scampered off to clean up.

The dinner was already served, the table set. Normally it was left under a dome on the counter. His breath hitched. His father was clearly in a really bad mood.

Mary Eleanor bounded into the dining room and took her seat. John didn’t get to do the same.

“John? John!” his father hollered from his office. “Get the hell in my office this instance!”

Mary Eleanor looked up at her brother with wide eyes. He mustered up a smile for her before walking to his certain doom. As soon as he found himself on the threshold of his father’s office, he saw it.

His journal.

“Fuck,” he muttered under his breath.

His father looked up at him, no, glared, up at him. John had never seen a true glare before that moment. He swore his father’s eyes were glowing red, though he knew that part was just in his imagination.

“Do you care to explain this abomination to me?” His father growled. He grabbed the journal from his desk and flipped it open. “‘Alexander is the best person I know. The way his hair curls at the top of his head in the humidity, those tiny little curls like a halo, and his laugh, his genuine laugh, and his energy, his ability to write… I admire him. I love him. There, I said it. I love Alexander Hamilton.’”

When his father looked up from the journal, his face was bright red. “Explain,” he demanded.

“It seems like you already know.” John prayed the fear he was feeling didn’t show in his voice.

“If this is true, you’ll find yourself in a position you won’t like one bit, son.” Henry Laurens stood up and walked up to his son. He shoved the journal into John’s chest, hard. “So before you answer me, I suggest you take the evening to think it over.”

John saw his life flash before his eyes. His mother, Mary Eleanor, his father before politics became his life following the death of his wife… And he saw his future. Alexander. Alexander. Alexander.

“Dad,” John stepped forward and looked directly into his father’s eyes. “I’m gay.”

His father’s eyes widened in shock. “I told you to think this over, John!” he shouted.

“I don’t need to,” John said, his voice growing stronger with every word. “I know who I am. And if you have a problem with that––”

“Of course I have a problem with that! I thought I raised you right. I didn’t think I raised you to be a…” he looked John up and down, as if gay was oozing off of him now. “A disgrace.”

John simply nodded. “Fine. I’ll leave for the night. I’ll see you after school tomorrow.” John left his father’s office without another word and quickly ran up the stairs to grab his school books and a change of clothes.

Mary Eleanor wordlessly appeared in his doorway. “John? What happened?” Her voice was trembling.

“Dad and I just had a fight, Ellie. It’s okay.” He swung his backpack over his shoulder and gave her a hug.

“Where’re you going?”

“Alexander’s. I’ll be back after school tomorrow.”

“Okay,” she whispered, looking down at the floor.

“Hey, if you need me, call, okay?”

She nodded. John kissed the crown of her head.

He ran out of the house, ran away from his father who was screaming for him to get back in the house this instance or else! He called Alex on the way. He picked up on the third ring.

“J-Law, what’s crackin?”

John rolled his eyes. “Never call me that again.”

“Okay, I’ll cross that off the John Laurens Nickname List then.”

“Um, hey, Alex?”

“Um, hey, yeah?”

“Can I stay the night with you?”

“John, of course. Is everything okay?”

John thought over how to answer that for a moment. “I don’t know.”

“Get over here and we’ll talk,” Alex said.

“Yeah,” John said, a smile spreading across his face. “Thanks, Alex.”

“John,” the other boy said, tone serious. “You’re the closest friend I got. I’d do anything for you.”

“Thank you, Alex, I’ll see you soon.” John hung up the phone and sucked in a deep breath before whispering to the air. “Oh, and Alex? I’m in love with you.” He took off in a sprint toward Alex’s, everything he’d never told the other boy propelling him forward.

He didn’t know how Alex would react to his confession, or what his dad would say come the next day. But he knew one thing. He was finally being true to himself, and that was something they could never take away.

anonymous asked:

yo bruh did you ever post that story about how u shouldnt do acrobatic shit if u have the spins and josh yaking

ALRIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS THIS GOES OUT TO ALL YOU FUCKING SAVAGES THAT WANT TO HOOK UP WITH JOSH PREPARE TO BE FUCKING DISGUSTED

Alright so when we were living together there was this girl I’m gonna call her Janet okay I knew Janet from high school she was alright in high school I never really spent a lot of time hanging out with her but she was friends with a couple people we would hang out with all the time after shows.

Anyways Janet had a huge crush on Josh so she texts me one day to talk to him for her and I’m kinda thinking this is some high school bullshit but I’m like whatever he probably could use this it’d be good for him so I tell him and he asks me a couple questions about her and then just kinda walks away which wasn’t super unusual for him he gets bored of people and walks away.

So like a week later he walks up to me in the living room and he’s like “hey you remember that girl Janet? I wouldn’t be opposed to meeting her, but I won’t go on a date with her.”

Turns out, during that week, he was doing what he insists I refer to as “research,” which, every other time I’ve told this story I have described as “obsessive stalking,” which to be fair, is an entirely accurate description of what he was doing.

You see, we all had different standards for people we would date, and most of us would find out if people met our standards through actual real life interactions with these people. Josh decided it was much more efficient to comb through their entire online life to determine if they met his standards before even meeting them. The one thing we all had in common was that, even though our standards for dating were different, our standards for hookups were the same: they had to be attractive, and tolerable for one night. Janet met these standards, but not Josh’s indecipherable and most likely impossible standards for dating.

So we told her to come to our party that weekend, figuring it couldn’t go any worse than most of our parties (spoiler: we were super wrong). So she shows up to the party with two of her friends and I introduce her to Josh and we all start drinking.

I’m talking with one of her friends and Kyle is talking with her other friend and as we’re successfully charming these lovely young ladies, we begin to realize that the conversation between Janet and Josh is not going well.

Let me put it this way: I could create an hour long video on how not to act when meeting someone you want to hook up with based entirely on what she did in the first 20 minutes. She was talking about high school (she had graduated 3 years prior), she was talking about her exes, she was talking about literally all of the things you do not talk about with someone you are trying to hook up with.

So as this is going on, Josh and I go to get drinks and he makes a comment about how super annoying she is and I’m just like “yeah okay but she really likes you and it’s just one night really the reward is worth a couple hours of bad conversation” and I was mostly right from the moment she walked in the door Janet had made it very clear that all she was there for was to sleep with Josh.

So we go back to the group and it literally just keeps getting worse. Every time we try to talk about something she hijacks the conversation and makes it about her, or just changes the subject to something she wants to talk about, and Kyle and I are annoyed as shit with her but we’re 1 being bros for Josh and being his moral support for this and 2 we’re trying to hook up with her friends so we’re sticking with it, but Josh is just getting progressively more annoyed and at a certain point he just stands up and walks away.

So Kyle and Eric and I start playing thumper and Josh joins in and he’s starting to have fun again and we’re starting to get rowdy and so he basically says he won’t walk away from her again as long as we keep taking breaks from dealing with her because he’s not wiling to miss the party to hook up with this girl so we’re getting rowdy and everyone’s having a great time and Josh sits back down with Janet and they talk a little before he comes back and joins the boys.

So we think that it’s around this point where she roofies him the first time.

Josh, being of inhuman physiology, does not react to being roofied at all. In fact, it’s around this time that he starts getting even rowdier. It’s also around this time that another girl at our party starts flirting with him.

This girl, who we will call Ellie, is actually interesting. She’s from Sweden, and she’s in Chicago on a work visa (I think she was a nanny but I don’t remember. Unimportant). Ellie is also very, very hot, and somehow, impossibly, she’s also very into Josh.

So suddenly, Janet’s chances of hooking up with Josh shift from “it’ll happen if we can keep them from talking to each other too much” to “only if Ellie wants a three-way with her” which is laughably unlikely.

So Janet starts to panic a little bit, which means she gets desperate, which means she roofies Josh again.

So after two roofies and probably 13 or so drinks, Josh is starting to struggle a bit. Because we were not in the habit of counting each other’s drinks, we all kinda assumed he had just drank too much. We agree to keep an eye on him from that point on to make sure he was okay, but otherwise kinda dismiss him.

We keep partying for like another two hours when Ellie walks up to me. Her roommate was heading home so she was going with her. She assumed (incorrectly) that Josh was too far gone to get it up, and she also assumed (correctly) that he was too far gone to eat her out in an effective manner. Assuming that spending that night with him would not be worth it, and not wanting to wander home in an unfamiliar city in a different country, she gave me her number to pass along to Josh, and headed out.

In retrospect, she is extremely lucky that she decided to leave.

So, now frustrated that the girl he had been hitting on all night was leaving, Josh went to option B: Janet. The two of them headed back to his room and, if it had been a normal night, that would have been the last I heard about it until morning.

It was not a normal night.

So everyone else leaves, and we all head back to our rooms with our respective partners for the night.

So I’m in my room with Janet’s friend and we’re getting started and I’m getting her worked up when I hear someone pounding on my door. I don’t respond because it was normal for any guys who weren’t hooking up that night to check on the others to see if anyone else wanted to hang until they were no longer at risk of getting the spins. Usually, this meant someone knocking at your door, and if you didn’t respond within a minute, they would assume that you were busy and leave you alone.

This time, the pounding keeps going, and I keep ignoring it. Suddenly I hear it stop and switch to the door next to mine, Paul’s door, and I assume that’s it, until moments later, the pounding starts on my door again. I keep ignoring it, until I start hearing giggling from the hall, which registers in my mind as a bad sign so I decide it’s worth pausing to find out what the fuck is going on.

So I open my door at the same time Paul does and standing between our two doors is Josh, buck ass naked and with the biggest grin I have ever seen on his face. I look at him as he’s standing there, his head flicking back and forth between Paul and I at a rapid speed.

GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED.” He’s literally shaking with excitement. My curiosity is piqued, but only enough to mostly offset the annoyance with being interrupted.

“What?” He snaps his head to me and I swear to god I thought it was going to start rotating like he was possessed.

“So Janet and I were having sex,” and I have lost interest. I was not getting interrupted just to hear you tell a story about your sex adventures. He could tell it tomorrow. I start closing my door. “And I fucking threw up in her face.

I literally freeze. My brain scrambles to process what he’s just said. There are a million voices in my head, screaming for me to close the door. Don’t find out how this ends, they say. This can only get worse, they say.

“And then I pulled out and nutted in her face!”

The voices were right.

I’m standing there, unable to move. My mind struggles to process what I’ve just heard. I hear Paul in the doorway next to me, hands over his mouth, whispering “oh my god” over, and over. He’s shaking, struggling to suppress a laugh. We both know that that’s absolutely awful and disgusting, but at the same time it is the greatest thing we have ever heard. Finally, I find the strength to speak.

“What?”

And suddenly, down the hall, I start hearing yelling. Janet is in the hall, wrapped in Josh’s sheets, vomit and semen in her hair. She’s crying, understandably.

Everyone comes out of our rooms to find out what’s going on, and things start to spin out of control. People are running around, trying to get her a towel or a washcloth to clean herself with. Eric is running to the kitchen to get water for her and Josh. I’m talking to her to try to get her to calm down, but she keeps freaking out.

I finally get her to calm down a little bit and she starts to stammer about how she doesn’t feel well. I’m trying to get her to explain what she means by “doesn’t feel well” and she starts saying she thinks she got some puke in her mouth. Josh is on our couch, wrapped in a towel, puking his guts out into a bucket.

While I’m trying to get her to calm down, Janet looks at me and asks me if she can get roofied from someone’s puke. I don’t understand her question so I ask her to elaborate.

“I - I roofied Josh and I don’t know if he threw up in my mouth can I get sick from that?”

And just like that, everything in the apartment stops (except for Josh yaking that goes on for like another hour). Literally at the word “roofied” every one of us just froze.

The night of our first party in that apartment, before anyone showed up, we all made a pact: if any one of us saw someone trying to roofie someone, we would pin the guy down and break his legs in as many places as we possibly could, before throwing him out on the curb. We all agreed that that shit was unacceptable and if anyone tried it in our house we would destroy them.

None of us had considered the possibility that a girl might roofie someone at one of our parties, and we certainly were not prepared for one of our own being the victim.

Janet, entirely on her own, starts describing how she roofied him. She tells us about when she did it, and that she did it twice. The more she confesses the angrier we all get at her, but we genuinely don’t know what to do about it.

So after a couple minutes of trying to figure shit out we decide that she has to go. One of her friends goes into Josh’s room to grab Janet’s things, she gets dressed and we kick her out, her friends following her out to make sure she got home.

I spend the next half hour with Josh trying to get him to keep a glass of water down, Eric cleans up the hallway, and Brad takes the sheet Janet had been wearing down to the basement to wash it. Finally, after 40 minutes, Josh stops puking long enough for us to force feed him some bread and cheese, and after 25 more minutes he stops puking. I spend 20 more minutes with him to make sure he’s okay.

The next morning, Josh wakes me up pounding on my door, standing there wrapped in a sheet, and asks me what happened last night.

“The last thing I remember,” he said, “is doing a shot with that chick Ellie.”

So I explain to him what happened that night, and he reacts to literally nothing, right up to the point where I tell him he threw up in Janet’s face, where he lights up.

“Fuckin’ right,” he whispers under his breath, before walking away.

Two days later he texts Ellie, they meet up, and after we all explain that night to her, the two of them start hooking up regularly.

Janet was banned from all future house parties and concerts.

Summary: (Based off of a request from a precious anon for a feverish pukey Noam and Ellis being the mommy he basically is <3)

Noam had the type of obedience that overruled his feelings. So when Ellis told him to eat more soup, he ate more soup…

____

It was around 11pm when Noam appeared in the living room. Ellis wondered how long he’d been standing there. Noam had his comforter bunched up under his arm and a pillow hanging from his hand. Ever since he was as little as four years old, Noam could find Ellis up late at night watching tv. The eldest would gather Noam’s small body up in his arms, put him over his lap and rub his back. Even now, at 17, as tall and as lanky as he was, Noam would still bunch his body over his brother’s lap for the comfort.

For most of the night, Ellis had been alone lounging on the couch watching movies. No one seemed to want to join him tonight; Gideon could be heard singing with his guitar upstairs in his room. And Noam was supposed to be asleep.

When Ellis finally noticed Noam standing at the doorway, he frowned a little. He watched Noam plop himself next to him, a little sweaty and pale, with the collar of his loose cotton tee drooping a bit off his shoulder. His lips were pressed together and turned up in a sour grimace right as Ellis heard his stomach suddenly turn with a low squelch.

Noam could feel Ellis’s hand rest on his head. “Stomach still bothering you?”

He only answered with a nod. His stomach was knotting itself into a cramp. He had to bring his knees to his chest for some relief. It moved through him so slowly that it was nauseating to breathe through. He could feel Ellis crouching over him in concern, lightly brushing grazing circlers on his back.

When the cramp finally eased off, Noam lifted his head and puffed out a shaky exhale. With a dry swallow, he pressed a hand on his stomach. It was tight, full of the liquids he’d been forcing himself to consume all day despite his nonexistent appetite. His stomach was giving him problems all afternoon at work earlier. He figured it was just the result of indigestion from eating pizza late the previous night, an indulgence he rarely took part in; Noam’s stomach had proven to be more sensitive than his brothers. Ellis had made his baby brother soup with plenty of greens and veggies when he returned home that afternoon, said it would help his digestion. Noam had nothing but bowls of that and Gatorade for the rest of the day.

Noam had the type of obedience that overruled his feelings. So when Ellis told him to eat more soup, he ate more soup; Ellis always had Noam’s best interest in mind, after all. He was so sure the soup would work.

“I feel worse than this morning.” Noam mumbled. He leaned against the sofa cushions and let his head fall back, blowing up at his bangs to get them out of his face. Ellis pushed them out of the way for him, passing his hand through coffee brown hair a few times.

“I’m sorry to hear that, nono.” Ellis said, pecking Noam’s clammy temple. Noam flinched a little, his stomach emitting another low rumble. Ellis stayed close, calmly unfazed.

“I’m pretty sure this isn’t indigestion anymore.” Noam moaned, his Adam’s apple exposed and bobbing.

“I’d have to agree with you on that, unfortunately.” He touched his neck, then his forehead, but the warmth coming off his body was enough to confirm he was feverish. Whenever Noam got hot or had a fever, color rose in his cheeks and ran across his nose. Gideon often teased him by saying he looked like a bunny, which irritated Noam to no end, since he’d been trying to grow out of his naturally baby-like face since he hit puberty.

“It’s probably not smart to be so close then.”

“Eh, probably not,” Ellis said, but he wrapped his arms around his brother’s shoulders and gave him a squeeze. “I’m pretty sure I’m immune to you by now. You’re basically my child.” This made Noam laugh a little, but then he swallowed convulsively when a wave of nausea rudely washed through him. A sour burp gurgled up his chest and he turned away so it wouldn’t blow in Ellis’s face. And then another one tore through him, all wet and heavy, and it brought up some acidic Gatorade that he had to swallow down. Ellis kept him steady, giving his shoulders a squeeze.

“You okay?” Which, at this point, meant you’re not about to throw up, are you?

Noam nodded again, keeping his lips pressed together. He swallowed hard with a grimace. “Yeah, I think I’m good.” He weakly said through his teeth. Ellis started to get up.

“Let me get you some water. And probably some Pepto too, right?”

“I’ll get it. I can’t stay still right now,” Noam said, using Ellis’s shoulder to push himself up. “Stomach’s cramping and stuff.” Ellis could hear the heavy pattern of his breathing. Sounded like he was struggling to keep his stomach out of his throat. Noam stuck a hand up his shirt and Ellis caught a glimpse of his brother’s swollen middle before he wobbled out of sight to the kitchen.

“Jeezis, that looks like it hurts, Nono,” Ellis exclaimed, his eyebrows knitting together in surprise. He twisted himself around so he could keep his brother in sight as he fished around the fridge for a tall water bottle.

“Take a full cap of it.” Ellis instructed, once he told Noam where to find the Pepto.

Noam drank more than half of the bottle of water with the Pepto, which did nothing but seem to rile his insides even more. His intestines were downright angry with him. He’d spent the next 15 minutes pacing from the kitchen to the living room, stopping to bend over the nearest surface or curl over himself each time a cramp rippled through him. They’d become so frequent that he was becoming uncharacteristically vocal about it, panting harshly and moaning deep in his throat from the pain. Ellis could only helplessly hover, since Noam seemed so irritable with how he was feeling, he didn’t want to be touched.

____

“God.” Ellis heard Noam hiss before he disappeared into the bathroom down the hall. Ellis hurried after him, but Noam had quickly locked the door.

“Noam,”

Liquid could be heard pouring into the toilet bowl, splashing and plopping after short pauses. Noam was groaning, whispering words of distress to himself. He sounded muffled, like he might be biting his hand or something. Ellis tried the door again.

“Hey, Noam?” Noam’s trembling panting was putting his older brother in a panic. He hoped it hadn’t shown in his voice. That was the last thing Noam needed.

“Just gimme a minute, Ellis. Please, just—privacy please?”

“Oh, oh my god. Sorry, okay. Call for me if you need me. I’ll be on the couch.” Ellis had to wrench himself from the door, he felt so bad. It killed him to hear Noam in pain, but he forced himself to be calm.

30 minutes later, Noam finally came back to the couch, looking shaky and grey. His full lips were pale. Ellis had been itching to check on him, so the moment Noam sat back down, Ellis’s hands were busy examining him. He lifted Noam’s shirt, discouraged by how bloated he still was.

Noam bent over to get the water bottle on the floor, bringing it to his lips. The water cooled down the burning in his throat, but it added to the fullness he still felt. Ellis’s hand went back to Noam’s back gently.

“How’s your stomach?” In which Noam just shook his head and closed his eyes.

“Cramping stopped, but now I’m just nauseous. Like,” he swallowed dryly. “Really nauseous.“

“Better or worse?”

“Worse.” He answered with a pout. Ellis kissed the side of his head again.

“I’m so sorry, yobo.”

Noam whimpered a little and placed his pillow on Ellis’s lap. Ellis opened up expectedly and invited Noam to curl across him. The moment the pressure of the pillow was on his stomach, a belch rolled right out of him. His body shuddered; it can’t have felt good, but it was bringing up the trapped air. Ellis made a sympathetic noise and pushed up his brother’s shirt, working his hand over the expanse of his warm back. Periodically, he gave him a few pats, and Noam’s stomach would gurgle into the pillow before his spine would ripple and another sharp belch would hurtle out of him.

Ellis tried to distract Noam with a movie, but his brother was too nauseated to focus, throat too tight to even make a comment, so Ellis kept a soothing hand on Noam’s skin, dragging his fingers up and down his spine.

Gideon came downstairs for a snack right when Noam started getting noticeably worse. His hiccups were getting deeper and his burps were starting to bring up more than air that he was struggling to swallow down. He lifted himself from the pillow, breathing through his nose. Looking completely frustrated with himself, he looked sullenly at his brother with glazed over hazel eyes before pressing himself into Ellis and hiding his face into his chest.

“Oh my baby.” Ellis crooned, rocking Noam a little. He could feel Noam’s active stomach sloshing against his own. Noam audibly swallowed something that must’ve risen when his abdomen clenched. He let out a shallow gag and pressed his face into Ellis’s warm neck. He had Ellis’s shirt clenched in his fists.

“Ellis,” he gasped out. His voice was quaking. “I need—,” but then something gurgled up his chest and abruptly escaped him with a wet but unproductive heave. It was so violent, Noam’s body had lurched over the couch. Ellis grabbed him so he wouldn’t go falling on his face.

“Oh crap—Giddy, I need something now. Noam’s throwing up.”

Gideon knew Noam hadn’t been feeling well, but he was shocked to hear Ellis calling for him past Noam’s sudden retches that cut through the air.

With a burning belch, Noam heaved over the couch, sending a torrent of liquid splattering onto the ground. Ellis was rubbing his shoulder blades, doing what he could while still being pinned down by Noam’s shaking body. Gideon hurried over with a trashcan. Thank God, they had hardwood floors; a wide puddle of chunky broth and Gatorade now littered the floor, seeping under the couch.

Shit, okay,” Gideon shoved the trashcan under Noam’s dripping lips, right before his head disappeared into the bin with a forceful heave. Gideon placed a steadying hand on Noam’s shoulder. It scared him a little. Noam’s heaves were hitting him so rapidly, he could barely take in a breath. His throat made a strangled whimper.

“Shh, it’s okay, Noam. You’re okay, yobo. Breathe when you can, you’re alright.” Ellis whispered, pressing kisses into his baby brother’s shoulder. Noam’s stomach was clenching relentlessly against Ellis’s.

“You’re okay. Just get it out. You’re alright.” Gideon added. He stayed close until Noam’s gagging had gone dry. Ellis gently coaxed Noam to get up so they could get him to the bathroom, holding Noam close to him while he turned him around. Gideon quickly came around the couch to lift one of Noam’s arms to get him to stand.

The moment he stood, Noam let out a sob before lurching forward yet again, more liquid pouring past his lips and into the trashcan. Both brothers stood with him, holding him as belches wracked his body. Ellis had a hand on Noam’s stomach. It had gone down some, but was still alarmingly puffy and it was writhing into his palm. He was still bringing up surprising amounts of vomit; the bin was getting heavy with how full it was getting.

Just when it seemed like Noam was done, lifting his head and looking ahead hazily, nose dripping with snot and eye’s red and tearful, he jolted with a hiccup and curled over with a retch so deep his ears turned red.

The convulsions made his knees buckle under him. Ellis followed him down while Noam held onto the bin with a shaking death grip. He was panting into it, his breathes agitating the plastic bag lining of the container. Gideon had taken to rubbing his back, eyes wide with concern, because now he was scared. Noam was alarmingly, violently sick. His skin was burning.

Ellis used his other hand to run his fingers through Noam’s now sweaty hair. Gideon watched as he asked Noam questions to see what he was feeling, what he might need from them, and he was completely unresponsive. All he seemed able to do was keep himself from falling over. A string of thick saliva dangled past his open mouth. His eyes looked vacant.

Ellis set his jaw and got up, urging Gideon to stay with Noam while he grabbed his keys, his wallet, put on his shoes. He shoved a baseball cap on his head and crouched down to have Gideon lift Noam onto his back.

“Call mom for me,” Ellis said, already heading to the front door. Gideon nodded, getting his shoes. “Tell her to meet us at the emergency room.”

anonymous asked:

rfa reacting to needing to use the bathroom when their mc is asleep on them? (this happened to me the other night and my bf said he almost crapped himself because he didn't want to move me lmao)

Jumin:
You had fallen asleep while watching a news report with him, he seemed interested but you decided that it was boring and cuddled up on his lap. It was cute at first…

But then he REALLY needed to use the bathroom. You looked pretty damn cute just sleeping cuddled up to him too. He wouldn’t even kick Elizabeth 3rd off his lap let alone his fiancee.

He sits there for hours, of course acting like nothing was bothering him. Eventually, he ended up calling Jaehee and asking her what to do in his predicament.

He ended up gently moving you to use the bathroom about an hour later. It had to be done.

Yoosung:
He had been playing LOLOL when you came up to him in a sleepy manner and sat on his lap, facing his chest, on the computer chair.

After he beat a level, he realized he had to use the bathroom. He hadn’t noticed until now because of the heat of the game.

He was about to stand up to go when he realized that you were on his lap still, he had gotten used to the extra weight and warmth.

He let out a small whimper, there was NO way that he could move! You were sleeping!

He tried his best to stay still, but he ended up shifting uncomfortably a couple of times, trying to hold it in.

Eventually, he had to wake you up, “M-MC, I really need to use the bathroom. I’m sorry! I know you were sleeping. I didn’t want to wake you up!”

You laugh at him, telling him he could have woken you up sooner.

Zen:
You had been helping Zen rehearse some lines, and he noticed when you started yawning.

He suggested that the two of you should take a break, which he figured would last 10 minutes at most.

He was wrong.

Once he sat down on the couch, you cuddled into him and fell asleep on his lap.

Had he known that this would happen, he would have used the bathroom before the break, but he had not.

He hated the idea of waking you up. A princess didn’t deserve to be bothered while looking so peaceful.

He held it the whole time until you woke up. What a trooper.

He never told you what had happened, and you were none the wiser.

707:
He had been working on a hacking project while sitting in a corner in the living room.

He hadn’t slept with you in days, he always took short naps to keep him going. You missed feeling him beside you when you slept.

So, you decided that you would join him tonight. Unfortunately, you didn’t make it very long. You fell asleep cuddled into his lap within mere minutes.

He thought it was cute, but dismissed that thought as soon as he needed to pee. He glanced at all of the Ph.d Pepper cans beside him. There were a lot.

Of course, this was no problem for the great 707! He could hold it until you woke up!

He could not wait.

Trying to be clever, he suddenly shouted, “No! Not the cats! Think of all of the cats!”

Of course, his shouting woke you up and you gave him an odd look, “The cats?” You ask.

He shrugs, “I must have dozed off. I was dreaming about Elly~ Now, I must go save her!”

He ran to the bathroom.

You were engaged to an idiot.

Jaehee:
You had both been watching some of Zen’s musicals. The whole set up included! Popcorn, Soda, and lots of junk food. Jaehee protested it but ended up loving it.

After watching 2 of the musicals, you had dozed off on top of Jaehee, which she didn’t really mind. As long as you were comfortable.

Then, she realized that SHE was not comfortable. You looked peaceful as you slept, and if she woke you up, you wouldn’t go back to sleep. You would deny even being tired and that you wanted to stay up with her.

She didn’t want that.

So, she waited…and waited…and you didn’t wake up.

She had to move you eventually, as bad as she felt. She appologized the rest of the night and the next day no matter how many times you told her it was okay.

Not O-fucking-kay

Pairing:Phan

Genre:Angst/songfic/au

Summery: Dan is hopelessly in love with his best friend Phil, but the thing is that Phil has a boyfriend currently. Sadness ensues. Its pretty much Dan venting.Based on “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” by My Chemical Romance

Warnings: Mentions of attempted suicide and suicide. You need a box of tissues pass this point

Well if you wanted honesty , that’s all you had to say

I remember when we first met in year three. These boys were bullying me and were calling me things like “fag” , “baby” , “fat” , and “ugly” so you stood up for me. That’s probably when I fell for you. We have been friends ever since then and I have loved you for the same amount of time. But the bullying has gotten physical more and more in the last nine years, one time putting me in the hospital once even ( you gave me a teddy bear that I still have) Whenever you are about to go on a fate with your “precious” Steve, you ask me if you look okay. I always tell you that you look beautiful. I love how your black hair frames your pale face, the way your blue eyes sparkle in the sunlight. You never believe me , even though I’m nothing but honest with you. I don’t know why you can’t see that I actually love you and want to hold you in my arms. All of the times he stood you up, you never accepted my help, shutting me out as if you were Elsa from frozen.

I never want to let you down or have you go, its better off this way

Sometimes I feel as the only way I can cope with everything is by using my little silver friend. It clears my mind if all of the times you rejected me , the pain the asses at school cause me, my shitty home life, and all of the crap that happens to me. Some days when I am feeling depressed , you can see I’m upset and you ask me what’s wrong. I just tell you I’m alright. I’m just worried if I told you that our would leave me completely, never to speak to me again. Its better off that you didn’t know the demons I face on a daily basis.

Forget about the dirty looks. The photographs your boyfriend took

I remember that time when Steve got pissed at you because he accused you of cheating on him with me. He decided to post the nudes you sent to him on his Facebook for the whole world to see. I invited you to my house to sleepover and I comforted you . The sad part is that after all of the pain he caused you, you ran right back to him like a little lost puppy. To this day you still get weird looks from people, cause they think you are some whore. Forget about what they think. Now you see what caring about things like that did for me.

Remember when you broke your foot from jumping out the second floor?

I remember after the Facebook incident you jumped out of the window of your bedroom. “It was attempted suicide ” you said. Luckily , the worst that happened was the fact that you fractured your foot along with a few scratches . I cried myself to sleep that night. It wasn’t in till the morning that I found out you weren’t dead. When you were in the hospital, Steve visited you and gave you roses to say sorry and you fell for that . All he really wants is to be able to fuck you. I’m not okay, you wear me out. You shred me up like cheese in a grater. Making me feel worse.

What will it take to show you that its not the life it seems. I’ve told you time and time again, you sing the words but don’t know what it means

I tried everything to get you to understand how I feel. You say you understand but you don’t have a fucking clue.

To be a joke , and look. Another line without a hook

You were the only person at our god damned school that was like me. We were both laughing stocks. People constantly made fun if us everyday. We were both different than everybody else.

I held you close as we both shook. For the the last time, take a good hard look!

Last night I tried harder than ever to get you to understand , even going to the point of yelling at you and shaking you. But nothing worked.

Forget about the dirty looks. The photographs your boyfriend

That night , you asked me for help with all of your problems. I told you to forget about all if that bullshit that’s happened to you, cause you deserve better.

You said you read me like a book but the pages are all torn and frayed

You kept telling me as well that you get me and understand when in reality , what you thought I was feeling and how I felt were distorted in your mind. It was if my true thoughts were doing the photo booth tag. I’m okay now I finally gave up and pretended that everything was actually fine but I was really just putting my acting skills to good use.

But you really need to listen to me Because I’m telling you the truth I mean this, I’m okay! (Trust me)

It took me a little convincing but you finally believed my little lie.

I’m okay. Okay.Okay.

This is my last goodbye Phil. You will get over me soon. Don’t feel bad because you couldn’t help. It’s not your fault. Its just me. I love you Phil. Goodbye. Love, Dan. ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× I put down my pen and put the note on my desk. I get out of my chair and stand up. I walk over to my bed and stand up onto it. I walk toward the end of it and put the noose around my neck. I take in a deep breath and bite my lip. “Its over” I think “I finally can get out of this living hell” With that I jump and before my life is at an end six little words escape my mouth: “I love you Philip Michael Lester”

A/N Ik its really fucking sad. But I really like it tbh. Took me like two and a half hours to write. What do you think? Be free to leave any opinions in my askbox. Love you! Bye! -Ellie

81. “ITS HAPPENING!”
82. “Are you saying goodbye?”
83. “Another life…”
84. “Well that was stupid.”
85. “You love me really.”
86. “That was smooth.”
87. “Sometimes, the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.”
88. “I have a very good explanation for all of this.”
89. “Wait…are you actually struggling for something to say?”
90. “Nice save.”
91. “Do you want me to go?”
92. “What are you even talking about?”
93. .“How are you allowed out in public…”
94. “I’m going to stay, okay? I’m going to stay with you.”
95. “And when were you planning on telling me this?”
96. “Because…I care about you…”
97. “That’s stupid! Let’s do it!”
98. “Why am I friends with you.”
99. “It’s okay! You’re safe, I promise. It was just a nightmare.”
100. .“What is it? What happened?”
101. "It could’ve been worst.”
102. “what an appalling piece of advice!”
103. “Pizza and a movie?”
104. “If you weren’t so cute…”
105. “I mean you could’ve just stopped talking?!”
106. “You’ve been awake for 48 hours this isn’t healthy.”
107. “I think we should take you to hospital…”
108. “Please say you know who I am?”
109. “It must be awful to look at the person you love and for them to look back at you and have no idea who you are…”
110. “Nobody is invincible…”
111. “GIVE ME THE AUX CHORD OTHERWISE WE’RE MAKING THIS 39 HOUR ROAD TRIP IN SILENCE!”
112. “I would never forget.”
113. “Oh my god that rain is vicious.”
114. “Is it bedtime?”
115. “How’s my little soldier?”
116. “Bored. Bored. Bored.”
117. “Your go.”
118. “Stop staring.”
119. “Oh. Bit of a domestic going on.”
120. “You really don’t believe me…”
121. “What now?”
122. “I’m sorry, you’ve been cheating on me how long?”
123. “Look, I’m sorry I put you off when you were playing Mario Kart. Please can you let me back in now…”
124. “Don’t worry I took care of your animal crossing town whilst you were ill, I did all the weeding and helped almost pay off your loan.”
125. “Let’s get you to bed.”
126. “How can something so small be so loud?”
127. “Here. Take my jacket.”
128. “I’m not special. I’m nothing.”
129. “I don’t want to lose you.”
130. “I have calculated how far that window opens. Take it as a warning.”
131. “How was that supposed to help?”
132. “Come to bed.”
133. “Please sit down. I can’t pick you up off the floor of you fall over.”
134. “Look at me. Are you hurt?”
135. “How much longer can we keep doing this?”
136. “We could be happy…”
137. “Are you an actual idiot?”
138. “I may have..sort of… just adopted four dogs…”
139. “We’ve watched this film 7 times.”
140. “I could kiss you!”
141. “Are you limping?”
142. “On a scale of one to ten how illegal is this?”
143. “Wh..what do I do? Tell me what do I do?”
144. “Will you stay with me?”
145. “I’m doing this to protect you.”
146. “I’ve nearly lost you once. I’m not risking it again.”
147. “Two minutes. Just give me two minutes…”
148. “Welcome home.”
149. “I don’t belong anywhere…”
150. “What about us?”
151. “You are the human version of a headache.”
152. “I’m not sure how much more of this I can take.”
153. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
154. “Just take my word for it.”
155. “Look, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”
156. “Sorry I stopped listening about ten minutes ago. What on earth are you talking about?”
216. “My stress lessons reached crying in McDonalds yesterday but apart from that I’m fine.”
238. “He/she’s better of without me.”
247. “Don’t do this…”
248. “You were always there when I need you.”
249. “Mind if I join?”
250. “Maybe we’ll just have to figure this out together.”

bravinto  asked:

i'm having a bad couple of days, so this is how i entertain myself: imagine college!Foggy with his hair damp after a shower. At some point maybe he and Matt get a little drunk, which habitually ends with low-key cuddling and Matt braiding Foggy's hair. The next morning Mat wakes from a muffled scream: Foggy's hair has got all curly overnight and there's no time to fix it, so he has to go the whole day with adorable curls <3

They weren’t really that drunk. Matt blamed the level of lighthearted goofiness that he and Foggy were on right now on a dangerous cocktail of exams, not nearly enough sleep and tipsiness from a couple of beers.

The only problem was that they both became very, very cuddly when their inhibitions were lowered like that. Well, Matt wouldn’t really consider it a problem, at least not for now. It would only become a problem in the morning when he would second guess every decision he had made the night before. But his brain couldn’t think that far ahead right now. Right now, there was only Foggy. And Foggy was soft and pliant and warm and didn’t seem to mind that Matt was cuddled up to his side with his head on Foggy’s chest and his hand drawing circles on his belly.

“Hey Matty,” Foggy said, sounding slightly drowsy. “As much as I enjoy this, I really need to take a shower before I fall asleep on you. Or you on me or whatever.”

Instead of getting out of bed on his side, Foggy rolled over Matt, pressing their bodies together for a short moment.

“I have to look presentable for that presentation tomorrow,” Foggy said and disappeared into the bathroom.

Matt spent a couple of minutes trying very hard not to imagine Foggy naked before he came back, put on a shirt and boxers to sleep in and plopped down next to Matt again. Matt started running his fingers through Foggy’s hair. It was still damp from the shower, warm and soft.

“What are you doing, Murdock?” Foggy asked quietly. That usually meant he would fall asleep soon.

“I’m braiding your hair,” Matt answered matter-of-factly, like it was the only sensible thing to do. It was, in a way. It gave his fingers something to do and it felt nice.

“Cool,” Foggy said and drifted off to sleep.

Matt woke to a scream from the bathroom the next morning.

“Foggy? Is everything-” He stopped when he remembered what was likely the cause of Foggy’s distress.

“Matthew Michael Malcolm Murdock,” Foggy said, sitting down next to Matt.

“That’s one middle name too many,” Matt protested.

“Did you braid my hair last night?”

“I might have?”

“Because I look like Phoebe from Friends right now. Curly Sue can hand her title over to me. Here,” Foggy said, took Matt’s hand and put it in his hair. He was right. It felt even smoother than it usually did, fluffier and obviously curlier. “I have to do my presentation in half an hour, Matt!”

“You can’t fix it in some way?”

“No, can’t get it to straighten out. My hair and I have something in common there,” Foggy said.

“I’m sorry, Foggy. I’m sure you look great though. At least it feels really nice.” Matt’s hand was still in Foggy’s hair when Foggy took it and placed it on his thigh.

“Well, you’ll have to make it up to me by petting my hair some more tonight. And I’ll own that presentation like a Disney princess because I sure as hell look like one. See you later, buddy,” Foggy said, gathered his stuff and left.

That was a bargain Matt could get behind.

Thinking It Over- Part 2

This is the continuation of ‘Thinking It Over’ part 1

 Do check it out! ;)

Thank you so much lovely Phoebe @omelialover for helping me to proofread the PP details and characters. <3

And thank you Jordan @jordan202 for helping out with the medical detail in the middle as my Paeds knowledge might be little rusty already ;)

I’ve to admit - I didn’t watch PP and don’t have the time to watch the entire series, but lots of researching on PP Wikia and the wonderful Omelia GC helped a lot!  Thanks to the Omelia GC girls who always readily answered my questions about PP:D

Enjoy!! :)

Addison gasped in shock as she saw Amelia standing at her doorstep, shivering and soaking wet.

‘ Amelia?!’she whispered in surprise and disbelief. She just couldn’t believe her eyes. Was this a dream? Sure, she did speak to Amelia on the phone at least once or twice a month and they FaceTimed occasionally, but for the past few months since Amelia had gotten married, they hadn’t been keeping in touch with each other often. Addison concluded that Amelia was busy with her newly married life.

But now here Amelia was, standing right in front of her. Something was wrong, she could sense it.

Addison quickly sprang into elder sister mode once she recovered from her initial surprise upon seeing Amelia, taking Amelia’s luggage.

‘ Come on in’. she ushered Amelia into the living room. ‘You’re soaking wet, damn it! You must be cold. I’ll make you a cup of hot chocolate. But first, you should take a warm shower and change your clothes first.

‘ Who is it?’ Jake called from up the stairs.

 ‘ It’s Amelia’ Addison answered.

Jake was at Addison’s side in an instant.

‘ Amelia?!’ he exclaimed.  ‘You’re here!!!’

‘ Shhh….Henry is sleeping’ Addison whispered. ‘ And Amelia here needs a shower and some warm clothes.’

‘ You can sleep in the guest room.’ Addison offered, as Jake took Amelia’s luggage into the guest room and Amelia followed behind, smiling gratefully at Addison.
