Get out and try something new. How often do we resist signing up for a class or doing something different because we are scared we’ll be bad at it? Too often. But I have good news: being a beginner is about being terrible. It’s about starting from scratch. It’s about staying open to new possibilities and letting yourself learn. Be a beginner.
Expand your comfort zone is an oft-heard phrase that’s actually so difficult to act on. We love our comfort zones. We know where things are. We know what to expect. We see familiar things and familiar faces and that makes us feel at ease. But change, growth, progress, adventure and excitement are found outside. We have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
