The Elektro-L 1 satellite is a Russian Weather Satellite in a geostationary orbit around Earth  - it always faces the same part of the globe and orbits at the same rate the planet rotates. That satellite takes a 121 megapixel image of the planet every ~30 minutes and analyzes light at 4 wavelengths to allow it to see weather patterns.

This video is 6 days of the images taken by that satellite stitched together and smoothed from frame to frame. The colors are such that vegetation tends to appear dark brown on the surface, but otherwise spectacular video of how that satellite sees Earth.
