So this is a pageant….A violent one, meant to showcase a girl’s beauty, splendor—and strength. The most talented daughter. This is a display of power, to pair the prince with the most powerful girl, so that their children might be the strongest of all. And this has been going on for hundreds of years.

“War on Iokath and the way things are going in the game is making me me…”

it’s very annoying that they funnel back into the old “sith v. jedi” junk after all that work building the alliance. honestly? it felt like they did it that way just to give people the option of killing quinn, because, by the end of the chapter, we hadn’t captured elara and, thus, has no option to kill her for betraying the empire twice now. is annoying lol

This game is inconsistent af when it comes to companions lol. If you’re a Trooper you can get everyone back compared with a Consular who can currently get one back, and it’s just an alliance Alert. Except for Tanno Vik who you can kill but never recruit despite us seeing him again, whereas every other returning companion has been recruitable after seeing them. If you’re an Agent you can get SCORPIO back but oh only temporarily because story. If you’re a Rep you can’t get Pierce, only M1-4X,  despite the fact you can recruit 11 Imperial companions. And you have to do PVP content to get him unless you happen to be a Warrior.

  • Queen Elara: Did you named your son “Cal Calore"? What's wrong with you?
  • King Tiberias: Cal is just a nickname
  • Queen Elara: So what is his real name?
  • King Tiberias: Prince Tiberias the Seventh, heir to the throne of Norta, flame of the North
  • Queen Elara: Well, that can be classified as child abuse

Do you think that the RQ saga could be considered as having certain feminist elements? If so, could you give me some examples? Thank you, it's for a school project

I would say that Diana Farley is a pretty good example feminist icon. @chaoslaborantin has a whole post on this I think, so if she wants to like… I guess add the link in a reblog that would be awesome cause I have no idea where that is. But I would say that Diana Farley is without a doubt a feminist icon, especially in Kings Cage. But there are threads of feminism, and not just in the “I dont need a man” sense. There is Cameron Cole is stands by her beliefs and tries to stand on her own and fight on her own. Mare has a few threads I think, and Evangeline has some as well. But if you really needed a feminist character, I would say either Farley, or weirdly enough Elara. Elara kind of occurred to me half way through typing this. She manages to run a lot of stuff behind the scenes, and although she sits with a very traditional mindset, she does work toward her ambition, and it’s interesting to see two very different ideas of this with Farley and Elara. Elara uses whatever means necessary to get “power” yet we perceive her as a villain even though Farley uses whatever means necessary also to achieve her own ambitions as well? I suppose it’s because we see Farley fighting the “good” fight, while we perceive Elara as a heinous witch (which she kind of is? but that’s another story). That would be an interesting thing to look at though, female villains compared to female heroines and why we see such different sides of looks to be the same coin.

I kind of want "ball of sunshine/loves everyone" Ellie Queen to exact revenge on the latest douche to break Sara's heart…

P.S. Yes, I’m always taking prompts for flashfics. Someone asked. And… yeah I’ll add them to my list. But for now… enjoy this little Ellie and Sara one.

Writing Time - Slightly over 1 hour.

June 2033 - Proportional Response

The cover of night is Ellie Queen’s best ally right now, but shrubbery around the building comes a close second. A thick buffer of rhododendron bushes easily hides her approach and she crouches lowly as she reaches the brick wall, looking for a way to scale the building to the second floor without being seen.

Options are slim, but they’re there.

This would be a whole lot easier if she’d had the nerve to swipe her dad’s grappling hook arrows, but she isn’t foolhardy enough for that. If she were caught with that - by her dad or anyone else - there’d be a hell of a lot of explaining to do. She’ll be in enough trouble if she’s busted. She doesn’t need to add to it.

But some things are worth it. Some things demand vengeance.

I've been curious to know whether there is a reason why Will's and Nate's endgame romantic partners are known but Jules's and Ellie's remain mysteries? Like Felicity, mysteries bug me but for this series I don't mind waiting cause I just love it so much. Also will we see any of Penny before Nate's sequel, I'm curious to know more about her.

You’re totally not alone in asking this, anon! So, here’s the thing… much of Will and Amelia’s story is in the long journey toward each other - and I don’t want anyone doubting where that journey’s headed. In Nate and Penny’s case, it makes sense to let you know that something is ahead for him, because he doesn’t have a lot going on for big chunks of time. It’s different with Jules and Ellie. For Jules, she has several romantic partners we’ll see and her love life has some complications to it that you don’t know yet. Telling you who she winds up could take away from the story in her case. And with Ellie… a lot of the curiosity around her love life right now is wrapped up in ‘will Sara ever see her feelings? Will she ever return them?’ Giving away the answer to those takes away something from the story overall rather than adding to it… for now. I think.

With Penny… @dust2dust34 and I were talking about her the other day and we both really like her because she’s so different from everyone else. She’s soft spoken and a people-pleaser and she comes off as meek and nervous… at least at first. Will we see her before Nate’s sequel? If we do, it’ll be brief and through Bethany (who she went to college with). Penny’s younger than even Nate, by something like six years. There isn’t a whole lot of opportunity to show her at this point.  REALLY glad you’re curious about her, though. I’m looking forward to her so much! Thank you, anon!
