Some of my visual development art (including a canned concept: a changing tent) from Disney Interactive Video’s It’s a Small World The Animated Series.
Getting a lot of information into 3 minutes is a challenge, and we wanted to keep the action moving.
The Changing Tent, although fun and magical, had to be left on the cutting room floor, however it is still alive: the children’s costumes are culturally and climate appropriate for every land they visit so that they can join in on the festivities!
Quick note that the top image is using background illustration from Disney’s It’s A Small World Storybook App (and book from Disney Publishing). The character overlays were done by me. Absolutely want to give credit to the talented Joey Chou, whose work served as inspiration for the Small World story and design teams.
