She finds him in the basement of Henrik’s, wrapped up tightly in a bedsheet, looking ever so alone. But instead of running, Rose takes him by the hand, calms him. She only wants to help. She has no idea that she may have just saved him.

He can’t remember who he is, but that’s no matter. As he warms up to her, and accepts her help, she discovers he is disarmingly charming, and brimming with the strangest, most fascinating stories she’s ever heard. Not that she entirely believes them all. They’re just a bit too fantastical, although he insists they’re all true.

She finds him some clothes in the racks of the basement, but he insists on the green velvet frock coat from the Christmas display in storage. Rose doesn’t argue, but helps him strip the dummy and fit him in his strange suit.

She wonders what happened to him as he wanders off, saying something about needing to find a blue police box. She finds herself wondering, too, if she’ll ever see him again…

When I was in 1st grade, the sandbox in the playground had two weird old metallic pillars that were at least four meters high, because that school used to be a factory. All the kids wanted to climb on them, and that was obviously dangerous, but that certainly didn’t stop us.

So yeah, those metallic pillars in Eight’s TARDIS really remind me of the playground.

You are so sweet. So kind, so caring. Too good to be true, like a dream. And all this is just dreaming. These adventures we’ve had, these scrapes and japes in Neverland with monsters and ray guns and magic, oh, they’ve been wonderful! Better than my wildest dreams! But you can’t hide in dreams. Everyone wakes up in the end. It’s time to stop dreaming, Doctor. Time to grow up.

Seriously why does everyone use the picture on the left as “the” picture of the Eighth Doctor, when that picture on the right exists?

I mean… the one on the left is like “look I’m serious and vaguely mysterious”, and the one on the right is like “sorry what did you say I wasn’t listening - OH LOOK, A BAT! GREAT” and I think we all know which one is more accurate

There may come a time when Eight’s tendency to lose their memory will stop being so amusing to me, but that probably won’t be for a while
