Egberto Gismonti - Agua e Vinho

Meditative, soulful piano piece by Brazilian composer/pianist/guitarist Egberto Gismonti. I think there are touches of Debussy, and maybe Satie in here. I don’t have this album (Alma) but I wish I did. I once saw Egberto perform in a small club with percussionist Nana Vasconcelos. About ten feet from me. I think I paid $2 for the ticket – it was in a university venue called The Maintenance Shop. Some people from S. America were there and were amazed they could see Gismonti in such an intimate setting. They said he performed in stadiums in Brazil. Anyway, this guy is good.
