Known for his rockabilly songs “C'mon Everybody,” “Something Else,” “Twenty Flight Rock” and “Summertime Blues,” Cochran was on a triumphant concert tour of Britain in the spring of 1960 when he was killed in a car accident. He died on April 16, 1960 when the taxi carrying him from a show in Bristol, England, crashed en route to the airport, he was 21.
