Here is an easy DIY post today along with my #madeinUSA outfit. Just five steps to a revamped and of-the-moment lace-up flat, perfect to wear with my cut-off, frayed and folded up “fox” skinny jeans. For the shoes, I used my Julie Bees “Atlanta” suede flats - and I believe they are still on sale online.

1) Gather supplies: glue gun, scissors, measuring device, ribbon and shoe cord.

2) Snip ribbon to 1 ½ inches - I used eight pieces, four per shoe. Fold in half and glue tother at ends with glue gun leaving the loop end open.

3) Glue the loops to the inside of the shoe where you want them. I looked up some reference of lace-up shoes online and I knew the pattern I wanted so I placed accordingly.

4) Feed the cord through the loops. I can do mine around the edges as shown, or I can criss- cross and then tie in a bow.

5) Enjoy your cute shoes!

Up in the mountains, the weather is  a little bit cooler than it is at home so I was able to wear something other than a summer dress. And I am loving my new red pants and suede bag!
