mumbutter-deactivated20170929  asked:

When can we begin to donate to PR and which channels arw trustworthy?

DO NOT DONATE TO THE RED CROSS a lot of American outlets are linking them DO NOT DO IT. Also be wary of donating to any gofundsme etc anyone can set these up and you don’t know how authentic they are.

Here are alternatives:

Unidos Por Puerto RIco

This site is being ran by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló. And at this time I think would be one of the best ones to donate to.

Caritas

This organization has been doing good work since 1969.

Hispanic Federation

Another great organization very transparent and easy with their donation process.

Econlockhatchee River

Blackwater quietly flows through the suburbs of Orlando and Oviedo as it makes its way to the St. Johns River. When you walk along this river you forget that you are less than 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

The tannic water, produced by decaying leaves in the water, is perfectly safe, and actually gives the fish in this river brilliant colors. When the water level is down a bit the river is perfect for fly fishing.
