tswift’s fans would begin to drag jared for his comments in that TMZ-released video - which weren’t even terrible. i mean. DID THEY NOT SEE HIS FACE DURING “STYLE”???
all her fans have to fall back on as proof of her “success” - are album sales.
which, pretty sure last time i checked, album sales does not equate to “good” music. it just equates to easily-digestible music.
wake me up when she wins an academy award. or starts a foundation to raise awareness for environmental issues. or designs a book of photography detailing the concerning living conditions of Haitians affected by the 2010 earthquake, in which all proceeds go toward Haitian disaster relief. or becomes a world wildlife ambassador. or donates a dollar of every concert ticket on the Carnivores Tour to Music for Relief. or has donated consistently to the Elton John AIDS foundation over the last 20 years. or directs an award-winning documentary. or is sued for $30million dollars when she’s millions of dollars underwater, and not only remains sane but ends up recording an incredibly well-received, critically-acclaimed album throughout the ordeal. or actually goes on record and says something feminist like: she believes every woman has the right to choose and decide what she wants for her body. or remains at all, in the music business - making music - for the next decade, or in hollywood, unscathed for the next 20+ years despite everyone around her wanting to watch her fall flat on her face.
Jared’s success (and thereby Mars’ success) is measured in so much more than album sales or price of tickets or sold out concerts where it costs more to put on one show than what a person living in Detroit would make in a year.
