2-minute lunch. I love sprouts. They’re super good for you, full of vitamins and live enzymes… And delicious😊
If you love sprouts too, grow your own! Put half a cup of dried beans in a big glass jar and cover with three times as much water. Cover the jar with a cheesecloth or pantyhose or anything that breathes and water can drain through (if you have a sprouting jar use that, obvio). Seal with a rubber band to soak overnight. Drain the water the next day and rinse the beans (through the cloth!). Leave the jar somewhere dark for a few days, rinsing twice per day and turning the jar once in a while so the sprouts have space to grow. When they have grown big, place them in the sun for a day to get some chlorophyll. Then enjoy! Keep them in the fridge and they’ll last you a week. Try mung beans, chickpeas, sun flower seeds, wheat berries and alfalfa seeds. Don’t sprout soy or kidney beans as they’re toxic when sprouted. I put sprouts in salads, wraps, sandwiches, stir-fries… Even smoothies sometimes. Yum!
