Golden Smoothie

½ cup coconut milk
1 banana
½ cup frozen mango
½ cup frozen pineapple
¼ tsp turmeric

Directions: Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until smooth.

Tip: Cut and freeze the fruit before making your smoothie for an extra cold thick result!

🍒Deliciously raspberry, cherry tart smoothie🍒

Recipe
Frozen cherries
Frozen raspberries
Frozen pineapple
Frozen bananas
*Couple dates if you like it sweet
*A lemon if you like it tart

* I like smoothies sweet and tart so I always add the last two ingredients. As for liquid I always use water. Occasional I’ll use a dash of soy milk but that’s in addition to the water.

Enjoy!🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴

Simple Green Smoothie

I drink a lot of smoothies. Like, A LOT of smoothies.

I’ve been through every phase. I’ve added 12 kinds of supplements to them (protein powder, flax, chia, chlorella, acai powder, almond and peanut butter, raw cacao, hemp seeds, bee pollen etc.) and I’ve done single-ingredient smoothies (just frozen bananas, or just strawberries and ice) and I’m happy to say that I’ve found my happy middle.

Although supplementing my smoothies felt like the healthiest thing to do, it was a pain to open all of those jars and scoop everything out every morning and I eventually stopped. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Single-ingredient smoothies sounded like a great snack, but get super boring. I don’t understand the point of a mono-meal, and I probably never will.

Enter my go-to four-ingredient green smoothie. A frozen banana and a cup of almond milk for a creamy base, fresh or frozen spinach for green goodness, and almond or peanut butter for protein.

No exotic produce, no weird supplements. Just a damn good smoothie. And the best part? I literally always have these ingredients on hand. I buy a bunch of bananas and then peel and freeze them all in zipper-lock bags, and always have frozen spinach, some nut butters, and almond milk on hand.

Of course I’ll try new things, and I’ll occasionally add some flax or chia if I’m feeling it (i did buy the big bags after all) and sometimes I’ll buy protein powder if it’s on sale. But for the most part, this is the smoothie I’m sipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup almond milk (I use plain unsweetened, but vanilla would taste good too!)
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, or two cups fresh
  • 1-2 tablespoons nut butter (I use almond or peanut)

Steps

Blend, blend, blend! Then enjoy.

This tea is absolutely the perfect refreshing summer drink! You can make it with whatever green tea you like but I highly recommend using one with a very light flavor so that the mint can really shine through. It’s important to add lots of ice while it’s still hot to dilute the tea and chill the drink. I strained out the mint leaves before serving but you can leave them in (the flavor will intensify though).

I’ve had varieties of this with muddled lime, a splash of sparkling water, or both which is fantastic! You could also add strawberries or raspberries for a different twist! :)

Peach Smoothie Recipe

A easy and healthy peach smoothie recipe for the hot summer days arriving!

(It tastes like vanilla ice cream !!! but it’s healthy !!)

(Serves about 32oz)

  • 2 cups of frozen peaches
  • quarter cup half n half
  • 3 quarter cups milk (almond milk, any kinda replacement) add more if it doesn’t blend well
  • 3 heaping table spoons of plain greek yogurt (any unflavored yogurt will do)
  • cup of crushed ice
  • 1 banana

~optional~

  • a drizzle of honey
  • teaspoon/tablespoon vanilla
  • around 10 almonds
  • an egg
  • teaspoon sugar

i defiantly suggest blending on high and on the ‘crush ice’ setting, and after mostly blended, switching to ‘milkshake’ setting or ‘frozen drink’ or anything similar to those :)

Black and Blue Berry Metabolism Boosting smoothie:

Serves 3

2 cups frozen blueberries

1 cup fresh blueberries

1 cup frozen blackberries

1 nectarine

1 apricot

3 tablespoons squeezable pre blended ginger or ½ teaspoon ginger powder

1/3 cup nectar of your choice or juice

½ cup cold water

Blend and enjoy! Blueberries and ginger both have metabolism boosting effects as well as antioxidant effects on the body! Great energy boost!

This smoothie was a deliciously happy accident. I ran out of soymilk but really wanted a smoothie so I decided to try throwing some of my green tea concentrate in instead. I usually use the green tea for lattes (of course haha), mix it into plain greek yogurt, or sometimes even make milkshakes with it but this is a whole new, wonderful use! I think it would also be fantastic with a frozen banana instead of strawberries (and maybe even some white chocolate chips?).

This is the same concentrate used at Starbucks but you can get it at Target for about $2.50 a box (8 servings) so it saves money and tastes great! :)
