Dear LeeLee:

You’re one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. Your drive, determination, hard work, encouragement and motivation is a big reason why I am the person I am today. Never forget how strong you are and how much you matter.

This journey isn’t always easy but just know you have tons of people rooting for you to succeed.

You are worth it.
You are enough.
You matter.

Just wanted to remind you of how great you are and that you’ve already come so far. No going back ,only moving forward. I’m here for you all the way pumpkin!

Love.

Your favorite Georgia Peach

Celebration time!

whoever said you can’t find love on the internet just was looking in the wrong places. a few years ago little miss Leanne and I met on an online forum for our favorite British band in the universe, MCFLY, and its been best friend love ever since. We immediately clicked and began talking with some of our other friends (who are still my best friends today) and continued to grow. She visited Atlanta the first time with her sister and then she came back again for winter break!

we were always alike. The shy sweet girls who were just trying to find out who they were and trying to find confidence and lose weight while working on not letting everyone else run over them in the process. when LeeLee was at my apartment the second time she created her fitblr Mission:Mollie and it was something that changed both our lives. I watched her work so hard with weight watchers and running. She’d text me all the time telling me about her workouts and the healthy foods and I was seriously the number one Mission:Mollie fan! I always said I was going to get healthy and get serious, and all those times I failed but she was my constant support. She begged and begged for me to get a fitblr and I denied. And then finally she did one of the nicest things anyone’s ever done for me. She paid for me to run in the Savannah Rock N Roll Half Marathon

This is when i created my blog and began running. i had no clue what i was doing but she made me a training plan and encouraged me the entire way. She even drove with her bff Amanda many many hours to run it with me! The half marathon was life changing, it was one of the best things i’ve ever done in my life and it really helped set off my weight loss journey. It was Leanne and her fitblr which really motivated me and inspired me to get moving.

The next March I finally got to cross going to NOLA off my bucket list and see her in the process!

After returning home from New Orleans I joined Weight Watchers and started the 30 Day Shred which was something I had seen Leanne do on her blog and it was a success for her.

This is a lot of mushy gushy feelings but today we both ran a 5k (i walked 3 extra miles with a friend this afternoon too and she ran 4 miles so that explains the “and then some”) in our respective states in honor of our friendiversary! Leanne, Mission: Mollie, and fitblr are a MAJOR reason for why I am who I am today. She is a constant support and encouragement and I would be lost without her. We’ll be running half marathons together till we are unable to run anymore.

HAPPY FRIENDIVERSARY LEELEE!

oh and the amazing girl behind Mission:Mollie blogs on!! Just as earningmyhappiness.tumblr.com!! so go follow her if you don't already.

A year ago today I participated in the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Savannah with these beautiful and amazing people and became a half marathoner and it was the best thing that ever could have happened to me.

I was WAY undertrained, terrified, just not ready but Amanda, Yona and Leanne stuck with me the entire time.

Leanne who was Mission:Mollie (now http://earningmyhappiness.tumblr.com/) at the time was the one who paid for my registration and the one who inspired me to get healthy and start running in general. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and I owe her a lot for that and could never thank her enough.

Sometimes I forget I even participated in this race and lots of times I don’t even know how I finished. Either way its an experience I’ll never forget and one that made me realize how incredibly strong I am and really pushed me to get healthy.

Sorry for the mushiness this Saturday morning. Okay I’m not THAT sorry.
