i know!!! i thought space adventure shit wouldn’t be for me either but turns out IT IS. like,,, it’s the characters, really. they’re well developed and funny and have good dynamics and it draws you in so hard

Art Tutorial/Reference Preview

Sometimes I like to do a reference page rather than a typical tutorial. Poses or bodies aren’t the easiest thing to draw. But I do believe that with constant practice anyone can master the human form. Now get out there and draw!

With the art tutorials that I’ve seen around the internet that focus on this particular subject I’ve found that some use curvy or spherical shaped objects.

I’ve always found these methods a bit hard to understand for me because I for one CANNOT DRAW FREAKIN EFFORTLESS NATURAL CURVY LINES LET alone DRAW a FREAKIN CIRCLE!!

With this tutorial I’ve stripped it down to the bare essentials.

Poses at these angles are used a lot in animations or comics.

My tutorial for poses viewed at high angles can be found here.

Tutorial for ‘How to draw background perspectives’ is here

trying to work through an art block. as you can see, i’m pretty fixated on keith after s3, esp. that sword-throwin bit haha (i rly want to successfully execute the dynamic shot,,, so it’s practice, practice, practice for me,,,)

Dearest Kisu, the characters you draw are always full of like and dynamic! Do you have any tips to draw more dynamic characters/poses ? I love your art so much, you're such an inspiration to me

1. The action line:

It’s a line that you use when you create the posing that will help you translate a strenght/ an intention and  give “a direction” to the body.

2. Perspective

It can help making a posing more dynamic if you vary angles, perspective and directions

3. Don’t be shy, exaggerate!

That’s how you really can translate mouvements through drawings!

4. Try to avoid “mirrorl” stuff.

It works very well when you want to do artistic stuff (like tarot card aesthetics) but not so much when you want it to look lively.

(Making hair and clothes flow help a lot too hahaha)

5. Try to do “one stroke” line so it doesn’t “break” the mouvement

Suggestions of Hello Neighbor for Dynamic Pixels ( @donmihalych )  This is the first part of my drawing class’ final project. As you can see, I’ve designed an alternative clothing and a pajamas (when it’s night mode), other designs that are not the final one and two pair of ilustrations with color. Hope you like it! ( I also dedicate my final project drawings to my neighbor friend @hocopoko ,who also loves Hello Neighbor). :)
