Doctor Who + Depth of Field

Cinematic Effects in Doctor Who 1/?

Depth of Field is a common cinematic technique used to create a sense of distance. It’s called a Drop Focus when going from one focus level to another, which is most often to guide the audience’s eyes.

Depth of Field is used much more from Season 5 onward than the previous four. This, along with many other cinematic effects seldom before seen in Doctor Who, give the episodes a more crisp look, as well as increasing their visual quality dramatically.
