NCIS Ep 6.13 Broken Bird is on tonight at 10pm on CBS Action (UK).
*does the happy dance*
Spookily I’d just been checking on some Ducky related eps. Thought I’d check on the off chance (I’ve been working my way through my dvd boxsets) as Cbs had been playing some season 6 recently and low and behold it’s THAT ep tonight. Freaky!
Something lovely came in the post yesterday! That’s right I got the special making DVD of Itakiss season 1! Like the Love in Okinawa dvd I bought many months ago, this also comes with a beautiful photo book, or as they like to call it “the memory album”. And it really did bring back memories! It’s weird thinking it was 2 years ago that Love in Tokyo first made it to our screens! Can’t believe it’s over! The show will always have a special place in my heart.
The DVD covers all the BTS stuff from the rental DVDs. NOT the boxset. So there were some things I remember seeing online that weren’t on this DVD.
What was included was the special “making of” episode which you may have seen before as an introduction to the series. Kotoko and Naoki camera, where the 2 do their own BTS stuff. Several messages from Miki and Yuki, a feature on the cameos. And a feature following Yuki’s visit to a fan meeting in Shang Hai.
AND THERE ARE ENGLISH SUBS!
This DVD is dedicated to all the itakiss fans and it really is a treat! :3
Sorry this is kind of a silly question unrelated to smithing the patriarchy, but I've been trying to find Brooklyn 99 episodes online for a while now to start watching the show, where are you watching it, if you don't mind me asking? Or did you get like a DVD boxset? Or have a subscription to somewhere online? I'm hoping to start on the first season. Sorry I've just been wondering about this for a while! Thanks! Live your blog!
I signed up for the 7-day Hulu trial and am hoping to finish it all before the trial ends. Also don’t feel like you need to apologize. I accept messages on any topic. I mean, I might not be helpful on every topic, but I’ll read it and probably respond.
Duck and I are childhood friends. We’d been together since preschool
and became obsessed with Princess Tutu during elementary school. For
those unfamiliar with the anime, it’s about a duck that can turn into a
girl with a magical pendant, and uses the pendant to transform into
“Princess Tutu”, to restore a prince’s heart. The characters are all
really characters from a story come to life, yadda yadda, and it’s super
whimsical and lovely for girls. It wasn’t the only anime we loved, but
it was our favorite, and we even got our moms to take us to ballet
classes because we roleplayed as Princess Tutu and her enemy, Princess
Kreihi so much.
Fast forward to middle school. We’d forgotten about Princess Tutu now
but I found an old boxset of DVD’s of the anime and we marathoned it at
my place during a sleepover. Duck was older now, of course, but she
hadn’t changed much. She was still into anime, and I watched some of it
with her but I was more into video games. While we were rewatching it,
Duck comments about how Mytho, the prince, reminds her of her crush (at
the time she had a crush on a boy from our class, a shy dude who was
always off by himself reading). I paid no mind to it back then, but if
only I’d known what was gonna happen next.
The BBC have announced ‘Doctor Who: Earth Conquest - The World Tour’, due to air next week.
This one-off programme looks behind the scenes, as cameras follow Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, as they embarked on an international tour kicking off Series 8 in August of last year.
Also included as an extra on ‘The Complete Eighth Series’ DVD boxset, this programme shows the cast and crew meeting some of their biggest fans, as they are given an insight into why the show has such a global appeal.
‘Doctor Who: Earth Conquest - The World Tour’ will air on Friday, 16th January at 7pm on BBC Three.
All thirteen blockbuster episodes from the seventh series of Doctor Who will be available to buy on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.
In addition, the set includes both 2011 and 2012 Christmas Specials - The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe and The Snowmen - and exciting bonus features including behind-the-scenes featurettes, Doctor Who at Comic Con, specials The Companions and Doctor Who in the US, and more.
So say farewell to the Ponds all over again. Meet the enigmatic Clara for the first time - and the second, and the third. Face enemies new and old, follow the Doctor to the one place he should never go, and learn the secret to a really great soufflé. With a cliffhanger ending that will leave fans breathless, this set arrives just in time to catch up before the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special on November 23, and the Doctor’s regeneration in this year’s Christmas Special.

This is from my visit to Westfield Stratford City yesterday, where Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill were signing the newly released Doctor Who Series 6 boxset! I got there quite late, and I knew the wristbands were limited to only 250, so I was sure I was gonna miss out, but lucky me - they had something like ten left when I bought my box set so I was just in time!
I queued for hours, but it was totally worth it. Matt, Karen and Arthur were all so lovely, and even more perfect in real life if you’ll believe it! I was busy being completely “Oh my God I can’t believe I’m actually here” to get a proper picture. I realise Arthur doesn’t show in my picture but I only had one shot and I couldn’t fit them all in :(
Here’s me with the TARDIS!
Here’s a shot from the Q&A. There were quite a lot of people there, and I’m incredibly happy that I was one of the people who were allowed to be in the audience! Matt, Karen and Arthur were as lovely as ever, joking and flirting with the crowd. We nearly had some Christmas Special spoilers as well, but they were being very professional about it.
Here’s me with a Dalek! They’re HUGE.
I really wanted to try the door, but there were policemen around, haha.
Well, that was my day yesterday, and I think it’s been my most brilliant day in London so far. Next up - book signing at Forbidden Planet with Steven Moffat and others!
