I know I shouldn’t be adding more fuel to the whole Berseria discourse that’s been happening since it’s definitely been beaten to death like a dead horse. Yes, there is misogyny and sexism prevalent in the game. Yes, I agree that it’s quite irksome at times and it gets me annoyed at certain characters as well.
But put all that bullshit in a blender, shit on it, and pour it into the sewer and put it aside, then honestly, in my own personal opinion, Berseria has one of the strongest and memorable cast I’ve seen in a Tales game in a pretty long time. Plus, I’ve been itchin’ to do Berseria character analysis’ for awhile now.
I don’t speak for everyone or anyone other than myself for this one but I want to start off with how much I love Velvet.
Is there any concrete proof that Urie cares for Mutsuki, more than in a friend way? I'm just curious
I think so! Urie’s never said it out loud, but I think it’s pretty evident that he cares about Mutsuki romantically.
“Mutsuki, let’s go home… together! For you I will…”
… ‘continue to fight’, is probably what he wanted to say.
We have never seen Mutsuki genuinely smiling in his current state. That is, unless Urie is picturing him that way. It’s not a memory– just something that he wants to see. He wants to see Mutsuki happy.
In the volume 7 omakes, Urie is stressing out over Mutsuki’s health during a game of Shiritori. In his head, he’s telling Mutsuki he should have some chocolate, throw a party with him, and that if he needs help with anything, all he needs to do is ask. Then he accidentally says out loud “what would I do if something bad happens?”
And, of course, when Mutsuki admits that he loves Haise…
imo that’s the face of a man who’s just had his heart scraped off the bottom of someone’s shoe.
I guess it could be read as friendship or familial love, but knowing Urie’s tight-lipped personality, I think these glimmers of seeing Mutsuki looking happy/beautiful and worrying about his well-being are huge neon sign that he loves him as more than just a friend.
Whenever Jack says “this reminds me of…” during a game, I’m just sitting there thinking, “I’m literally the exact same way!”
Cause, whenever I’m watching a movie or a TV show, I’ll sit there and say, out loud, “OH MY GOD, THAT’S A REFERENCE TO THAT!”
Or, I’ll even theorize out loud as to what the hell is going on, and it actually annoys my friends and family haha! They’re literally like “Shut the hell up Katie, and just watch it” and I’m like, “But I wanna theorize, man!”
In Falsettos when Whizzer says “nothing is everything to me” during the chess game I think that represents him coming to the final realization that he’s being manipulated and treated so lowly by Marvin. Whizzer cherishes the “nothing” Marvin gives him. He wins the chess game because he finally realizes how poor and unhealthy his relationship with Marvin is so he tries to gain control, but as soon as he tries become Marvin’s equal, Marvin rejects him immediately by breaking up with him
Idk if this will help, but I picked the option to cheer for Chris during the game and they won. I haven't done any of the premium options in The Sophomore either, so I think it's possible to win the game without using diamonds.
ANON YOU ARE A GOD DAMN LIFESAVER! Somehow this actually worked! 😵 I’m stunned like what the hell is happening.
in middle school they had us write emails to our future selves that would deliver on a specific date, and i got mine today. it was all pretty…2013-ish (as u can see in the screenshot), but the best and most tragic part was this
civil war where everything is the same except team cap/team iron man are rivaling baseball teams!!! this was so fun to make like you guys don’t even KNOW, this was shamelessly inspired by sports animes
everyone gets along except steve and tony who take their rivalry too seriously
“Ah, Arya. You have a wildness in you, child. ‘The wolf blood,’ my father used to call it. Lyanna had a touch of it, and my brother Brandon more than a touch. It brought them both to an early grave.” Arya heard sadness in his voice; he did not often speak of his father, or of the brother and sister who had died before she was born. “Lyanna might have carried a sword, if my lord father had allowed it. You remind me of her sometimes. You even look like her.” “Lyanna was beautiful,” Arya said, startled. Everybody said so. It was not a thing that was ever said of Arya. “She was,” Eddard Stark agreed, “beautiful, and willful, and dead before her time.”
