durham western heritage museum

The plein air group that I paint with made an excursion into Omaha last week to the Durham Western Heritage Museum (formerly the Union Pacific Railroad Station, built in 1929) and the Rose Theater downtown. Ironically enough it turned out being a nice enough day that we could have painted outside, but I was happy for the chance to paint Art Deco architecture anyway. I did the sketch on site and finished the colors today from photos.
