Anyone that hangs out around the Deathbomb tumblr on the regular knows that we loved Sun Araw and M Geddes Gengras’ collaborative album with the Congos last year. Fortunately for all of us, this album has turned into a full blown band called Duppy Gun, which is essentially defined as Sun Araw & Ged taking their experimental sounds and visiting to Jamaica to work with varies artists there.
The latest, a collaboration with Fyah Flames, has the type of soaring, soulful vocals that one rarely ever hears paired with such forward thinking production. So glad there are folks out there pushing forward so hard so that amazing stuff like this can come into existence. (via Pitchfork)
