I will literally always be angry that Hagrid didn’t give Harry to Sirius after James and Lily were killed. I know it was against Dumbledore’s orders or whatever, but guess what?? Dumbledore wAS NOT HARRY’S GUARDIAN. Why should Dumbledore get to decide what happens with Harry?? SIRIUS WAS HARRY’S GODFATHER, AND THEREFORE LEGAL GUARDIAN.
stage three: realizing dumbledore was a deeply flawed human being but he was, at his core, trying to do what was right for the world, and that he did genuinely care very, very much for harry – even if that doesn’t excuse some of his actions – and that he’s neither a clear-cut hero nor a villain
unfortunately a lot of people seem to be stuck in stage two
I really love the fact that there’s a train station that can be accessed by running through a barrier and a hospital that can be accessed by stepping through a window and a house that can be accessed by just thinking about it and yet Dumbledore thought that the best way to hide/defend the entrance to the Shrieking Shack was with a giant killer tree.
ok so in philosopher’s stone, when quirrell runs into the great hall screaming “TROLL IN THE DUNGEON”, dumbledore tells the prefects to take everyone back to their dormitories, but like ??? the slytherin dorms are in the dungeons so where tf were they supposed to go????
