three stages of harry potter fandom:

stage one: loving dumbledore

stage two: hating dumbledore

stage three: realizing dumbledore was a deeply flawed human being but he was, at his core, trying to do what was right for the world, and that he did genuinely care very, very much for harry – even if that doesn’t excuse some of his actions – and that he’s neither a clear-cut hero nor a villain

unfortunately a lot of people seem to be stuck in stage two

I really love the fact that there’s a train station that can be accessed by running through a barrier and a hospital that can be accessed by stepping through a window and a house that can be accessed by just thinking about it and yet Dumbledore thought that the best way to hide/defend the entrance to the Shrieking Shack was with a giant killer tree.
