In the studio with three hands, inspired by a photo my friend Pam Posey posted ages ago. Sculpting the hands separately before attaching them to the arms.

“You will always hesitate”

Ceramic, graphite, linseed oil, wrought iron, and synthetic hair

I reinstalled this in my home studio in preparation for a few visits.  It took ages to make and I learned a lot about logistics in its construction.  I get a little thrill of pride when I see it up.

Cold little foot, toes curled in.

I just made a sodium alginate mold from this polymer clay form, and cast two wax duplicates. Usually, I make the original in wax, but I’m trying to build in more fail safes in case the final casting goes bad.

I need several wooden dollhouses for an installation piece. And so, I solicit dollhouse donations.

If you have one, I will trade you a unique monoprint of the dollhouse and send updates of the sculpture you helped make happen.
