Runway Ready?

Well…Close Enough

In celebration of fashion week I’ve put together an outfit inspired by one of my favorite looks from last season. I wanted to put my own spin on the look below from Dsquared2’s Fall 2014 runway show so I mimicked the mixed material bomber with a wool/leather combo varsity jacket and also chose to do a loose, pleated trouser like the one seen here. I finished off the outfit with a similar boot and beanie and added a pop of white with the socks to give it my own personal touch. I’ve found almost all the items for my outfit on Zappos which actually sells clothing from 13 designers presenting during this season’s New York Fashion Week. So what do you think? Close enough, eh?

If you happen to be in New York this week, you can create your own runway looks using the Zappos dress up closet and get photographed in their photo booth at the Zappos Recharge lounge across from Lincoln Center. The event will be held Saturday 9/6 from 10am-7pm and Sunday 9/7 from 2pm-7pm. Enjoy free BluePrint juices, charging stations, and other surprises while you’re there.

Menswear Fall/Winter 2014 Trend Report - White

Fall/Winter 2014 Trend Report.

White.

White in winter? YES!

White was a huge presence on fall runways, with designers showcasing head-to-toe looks using modern separates in varying shades of stark, ivory, and cream.

Despite hackneyed fashion “rules,” winter-white shoes are also continuing their momentum, so expect to see plenty of trainers in white.

Dsquared2’s Doll-House

Ladies Who prefer their Lunch liquified and their pills in cocktails can seek asylum in Dsquared2’s doll-like, Sixties-inspired, plush and pad-locked, embellished, excess - the perfect glittery anecdote for that particular case of silicon-infused exhaustion. Time to check-in-Cause a little plastic and a spritz of perfume never hurt anyone…yet.
