Time for another installment of #Drugstory.

A story filled with beauty favorites that are never further than a few blocks away - and do minimal damage to your pocketbook.

1. OPI Euro Centrale Collection - love the metallic colors in this new OPI collection. So shiny! The yellow gold color above is called “Oy another nail polish joke”… Can’t help being loyal to OPI for their names. ($8.00)

2. NYX Wonder Pencil - it’s a concealer, it’s a brightener, it’s a liner, it’s one pencil. Need I say more? ($4.50)

3. ChapStick Moisturizer Hydration Lock -  I am a lip balm junkie, I saw the vanilla/8-hour-moisture-lock label and couldn’t resist. Very happy to add this new tube to the repertoire. ($2.99)

4. Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer - at first I thought this was going to be really weird and too spray-suncreen-esque, but I tried it and completely understand the functionality of spray & go. It’s a nice light moisturizer and application takes about 10 seconds. Perfect. ($7.99)

5. AcneFree 2-in-1 Acne Wipes - yet another convenience fix. These wipes are all you need in a face washing bind when perhaps don’t have access to water or you misplaced your blemish potion. They cleanse and they treat. ($5.99)

Total cost of this drugstory basket: $29.47.

Whats wrong with me?

Heute Pep.
Heute Weed.
Heute Poppers.
Danach Weed.
Nurnoch Weed bis Silvester.
Und ab und an Pep, als Ausnahme.
Ich stürze ab, aber ich feiers.

If you’re in an area affected by Sandy, I really recommend you support your local stores if at all possible when your shopping resumes as normal (which I hope is soon) … but that being said, I was really grateful to my local chain drugstores for staying open/being open when so many other things were not!

Since so many of my favorite cult favorites come from around the corner and cost not-so-much, I thought I’d start rounding them up on a monthly basis with a little drugstore story.  Here’s the first edition, which covers some classics from head to toe.

1. Burt’s Bees Baby Oil is a pure and simple multi-use apricot dream ($8.99)

2. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Stick lips, cuticles, elbows, want to eat it ($2.99)

3. VO5 Hot Oil Hair Treatment works with the heat of your shower to teleport you to the 80’s while leaving your hair firmly yet softly in the now ($6.46)

4. St. Ives Apricot Scrub a classic for face and bod, it’s also available in a Salicylic Acid formula for acne-prone skin ($5.79)

5. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque sucks the oil and dirt from your existence while sucking very little from your wallet ($4.71)

All of this adds up to less than $30!

P.S. A surefire way to support hurricane recovery is by making a donation to the Red Cross here.

Have you received enough EVERYTHING AND YOUR MOTHER IS 25% OFF emails to (ironically) max out your credit card yet? Yes, me too.

Hence why a #Drugstory feels so right, about now. (And, who says #Drugstory gifting isn’t allowed?)

1. Olay Fresh Effects (Shine, Shine Go Away!) Shine Minimizing Cleanser is kind of the mother product in this new line by Olay. There is also a BB Cream and Satin Lotion, Hats off to the packaging, formulas, and over all feel of this new drug store knock out. I love it all. Can’t wait to see the next new additions… ($5.09)

2. Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy Enamel I saw these in a magazine while flying south for Thanksgiving and did the drug-store-stroll soon after. So fun. And since it’s December, I am thoroughly enjoying blinged out nails at all times. ($5.70)

3. Nivea Lip Butter Caramel Cream Kiss Nivea me please, all winter long. This new lip butter in caramel cream kiss (cute cute) is irresistibly yummy. ($2.99)

4. Cover Girl Ink It! Eye Liner Bought this in gold because I was inspired by the Hunger Games.. (kidding, kind of) and it really surpassed my expectations. It is a beautiful metallic and doesn’t smudge, at all. Highly recommend this for festive holiday get togethers. ($6.99)

5. EVERY MAN JACK face wash I’ve never seen this mens line before but had to snag this face wash because it looked so high end man trendy, and it smells like cold peppermint. Mmm. I will be passing this along for a guy to try, and then maybe I’ll steal it back. ($6.00)

6. Pocket Size Kleenex Tis’ the season for tissues. ($2.99 for 8)

Your basket total: $29.97 !

(Get it quick and it’s 25% off!!! Just kidding.)

Excited to bring back (with intended frequency) Drugstory!

Sometimes your favorite products are no further away than your local CVS… and the prices? Those are pretty great too.

1. Pur Minerals pressed 4-in-1 foundation with 15 SPF I was reminded of how much I love these minerals from a recent Birchbox. My favorite time to use them - post-summer tan. When I am a little bronzier/more freckled than usual, a light mineral powder finishes the look flawlessly. And SPF is always a plus. ($26)

2. Dove Go Fresh 48-hour Anti-Perspirant A reliable go-to in the world of staying fresh. Next time try the new Dove scent, blue fig and orange blossom. It’s pretty delicious. ($4.79)

3. Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 Your anti-sting, anti-grease, solution to intense face-sun situations. I love Aveeno. Their products always feel natural and soothing on my skin, even if I happen to be partaking in some serious pimple prevention, For having SPF 50 hidden inside, the smell is refreshing and it feels nothing like your typical grease ball sunscreen. ($8.99)

4. Tide To Go Stick This one is simple. Spills happen. Stains are no good. Be prepared with this stick, always…it’s a miracle worker. ($3.49)

5. Neutrogena crease proof eye shadow Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this stick. It has a beautiful shimmer and sheen, and the application process is too quick to be true. This could easily qualify as a make-over-on-the-go must have. ($7.99)

Total cost in your virtual shopping basket: $51.26! Comment below to let us know some of your Drugstory favorites. Always looking for some newbies to try (especially when they come at such a great cost!)
