Disney Rides Personified! Cars Land (Character Concept)

by omgjelloz

“Born with the blood of a true racer and a love for anything with an engine that can rev u,, Cars Lands, or "CaLa”, has a spirit more free and wild than that of a stallion!  Though not quite as fast as her older brother, Test Track, she has a matching hyperactive nature and true sense of optimism about her.  A gifted mechanic, CaLa knows every last odd and end when it comes to automobiles.  But her noteworthy technology and abilities can tend to make her rather cocky at times.  She has a good heart, though, and loves all mechanics- new and old, simple and complex.  Her confident, toyboyish demeanor and knack for breaking down has quickly made the new attraction good friends with Thunder Mountain.“

When a blog you stumble across happens to have masterfully drawn both of your precious muses as one character. Wilde!Genie.

Please follow @phenominalcosmicpowers. SFW1. Awesome2. The OC paired with Genie is really great too. I feel bad to have cut her out of this image, but I wanted to bring attention to a main focal point. The original post can be found here, with a bonus Hopps!Genie.

1. Mostly. I mean, some of the earlier posts are nudes of an OC, and things tend to get a little flirty between the Genie of that blog and the resident OC, but it’s hot so faggedaboudit. I’d say it’s probably more PG-13 SFW-ish, so keep that in mind.
2. No fine print here. It really is awesome. Just go there already. Seriously. This person does a more solid job of drawing the Genie than the animators on the 1994 Television series did, with all due respect to them and what they did. There’s just more straight Eric Goldberg-esque magic on this blog though. C’mon. Stop reading! GO! Click!

Hey, guys!

Sorry I’ve been gone for so long- college course work has been making me work like crazy the past several weeks!  So I figured I’d post some works in progress, just to let you all know I’m alive.  I’ve been working on them for the past week and a half, so hopefully I’ll get them done…eventually.  I tried using real life images of myself to give them more natural and realistic poses.  So far, I think it’s helped.

Also, guess who’s finally using quality paper for once?  Whoopie!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Disney Rides Personified) Cosplay!

Guess what came in the mail just in the nick of time for our school’s character day!  I haven’t cosplayed my own character in years- I’m so excited! I’ll get some pics later today of the full outfit with the shirt and pants (I still need to get around to buying those brown combat boots).  The freckle makeup was actually a lot of fun to put on!  I’m probably going to be the only one wearing a wig in class, but hey, that will make it all the more fun.  ‘Cuz this here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness!

Special thanks to mijaro for inspiring me to get off my but and finally make this cosplay a reality!

yeah i have green eyes let’s just pretend they’re brown for the sake of it

Just a little favor?

Hey guys!

I know this is kind of strange, but I was wondering if you would be willing to check out my Disney Rides Personified!  blog and DeviantArt page.  I know I’m not the best artist, but I’ve put my heart and soul into all these characters, and I’d love for you all to see them. I’ve loved Disney rides and drawing almost all of my life, and have always felt a deep connection with both, and this was a way for me to finally express it!  ^-^

Glyphosate Sprayed on GMO Crops Linked to Lake Erie's Toxic Algae Bloom

The article includes a description of the research that supports the conclusion correlating glyphosate, phosphorus and algae bloom.

Glyphosate, the controversial main ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup and other herbicides, is being connected to Lake Erie’s troubling algae blooms, which has fouled drinking water and suffocated and killed marine life in recent years.

Phosphorus—attributed to farm runoff carried by the Maumee River—has long been identified as a leading culprit feeding the excessive blooms in the western Lake Erie basin. Now, according to a new study from chemistry professor Christopher Spiese, a significant correlation has been established between the increased use of glyphosate to the percentage of dissolved reactive phosphorus (DRP) in the runoff.

As No-Till Farmer observed from the study, DRP loads in Lake Erie increased in the mid-1990s at the same time that farmers began the widespread cultivation of crops genetically engineered to withstand multiple applications of Roundup.

“For every acre of Roundup Ready soybeans and corn that you plant, it works out to be about one-third of a pound of P [phosphorus] coming down the Maumee,” Spiese told the agricultural publication.

Notice for All Blogs!

Tumblr’s been acting up the last couple of hours– Blogs have been clearing or resetting, or just disappearing altogether.

We’d like to encourage all of our DRPers to keep back ups of their pages and layout HTML– Save them to a word doc or a Google Doc, just in case. This is a preventive measurement!

That said, if your page DOES go blank or displays an odd error, do not edit your HTML! It may disappear entirely! Just wait a bit– So far it’s been self fixing.

In the event it does NOT fix itself and you have NOT made backups, this link may prove useful: click here for the theme recover page!
(Thank you Bandit for the reminder! <3)

That’s all everyone! Thanks for writing! <3

Some low quality previews of the Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad portraits I’ve been working on, taken on my phone.  They’re still a work of progress (and my scanner is officially too small to scan them).  But I figured I could always post my progress on them!

HyperShipping- Sugar Rush! by ~Omgjelloz

Mad Tea Party and Test Track drank a few to many sugary sodas in Future World before deciding to break into the Mexico Pavilion. Needless to say, they’re not allowed to have sugar anymore.

Disney Rides Personified!: The Epcot Crew

(from left to right:  Soarin’, Test Track, Mission: Space, Spaceship Earth, and Maelstrom)

It took me a week to finally getting around to finishing this, but here we are! Drawn because I haven’t really been giving most of the poor guys enough exposure in my artwork.  It’s not my best, but I at least like the way Soarin’s and Test Track’s faces came out.

whoopsie I did a thing…kinda

Disney Ride Minies  (WIP)

I tried to draw some of the less drawn rides along with the main ones. From top left to bottom right: Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Butler! Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Test Track, Tower of Terror, Tom Sawyer Island, Spaceship Earth, and Jungle Cruise.
