drinking contest

In Ancient Greek mythology, Acheron, the river of woe, was the pathway to the under world, across which the souls of the newly dead were ferried.

“In the Homeric poems (Od. x. 513; comp. Paus. i. 17, § 5) the Acheron described as a river of Hades, into which the Pyriphlegeton and Cocytus are said to flow. Virgil (Aen. vi. 297, with the note of Servius) describes it as the principal river of Tartarus, from which the Styx and Cocytus sprang. According to later traditions, Acheron had been a son of Helios and Gaea or Demeter, and was changed into the river bearing his name in the lower world, because he had refreshed the Titans with drink during their contest with Zeus.” (theoi.com)

gaius-candy-king asked:

“What are you doing in my room?”,

(Damn! You beat me to it lol)
It’s the middle of the night, and my muse just climbed into your muse’s bedroom window: 11) I’m too drunk to find my apartment (Changing to tent because Fire Emblem lol)

Olivia sat on the floor of Gaius’s room. “I think I’m too drunk to find my tent. I was out with Sully and she decided to help me ‘woman up’ with a drinking contest.” Her face was a bright shade of red, but she was giggling instead looking at him awkwardly.

“My sister is afraid of drunk people and alcohol (one of her phobias).  On one of the rare occasions when I let her play my Skyrim save, I walked out for just a moment, only to come back to find her having a drinking contest with a Daedric Prince.  Her only comment was “I won.””

Part 8 <=> Part 9

Winning a drinking contest is an oxymoron!

So this is the final part of the arc. I didn’t think it would take me so long, or that I would end this blog with everyone barfing. It’s been pretty amazing to try out something creative like this and get such a large, positive response back, even if I was riding on the pony fandom giant’s back. The fan mail from some of you guys has really been kind and inspiring, and I thank you.

For those of you who are wondering, the main reason I’m choosing to put the brakes on this blog is that I have a lot on my plate these days and I’d rather spend my time pursuing my other interests. I also feel like the whole concept has simply run it’s course. (My making of this fan blog, that is. Please don’t stop making MAS episodes, Greg. :)   )

In the future, I’ll be using this blog to make posts about future projects and to promote the creations of a few of my friends. Namely Denise, who just recently opened up a thing on storeenvy, which you should check out if you’re interested in cool prints, bookmarks, and other doo-dads.

I don’t want to make you guys feel like chumps though, so whenever I do a promotion like that I’ll draw up a response to a question. This is also why I’ll be leaving the ask box open. Anyway, I think I’ve said all that I needed to say, so see you guys later! Thanks again for your interest!

Part 7 <=> Part 8 <=> Part 9

Hey there! As some of you know I work on an interactive story/game thing called “THE GAME” (not that game.) with my very good best friends Denise and Chelsea!

The other month of ‘every other month’ has rolled around and that means a new episode, which all the cool kids are checking out here! You too can become a cool kid by taking a look yourself!

Imagine Legolas threatening a man for you

Drabble for: anon

Original request: “Hia you lovely, beautiful person who better have a lovely day, could you do a Legolas x Reader one? Namely where reader is human, but it doesn’t really matter. You can do whatever you like with the story, whatever you like writing, thank you in advance, bye!”

Pairing: Legolas x Reader

Word count: 1,198

A/N: apologies for the wait and also the bad title. I did my best with what I had but my inspiration hasn’t been running very high lately so I am sorry if it isn’t very good. Hope you like it anyway :)

You sighed in relief as you finally placed the two heavy, large flasks of mead in front of the rowdy dwarf and the elf. The elf was extremely good looking, you thought, with long blonde hair and soft yet slightly angular features. Him and the burly dwarf were having a drinking contest, something you had become used to in the tavern where you worked. You chuckled to yourself when the dwarf fell to the floor with a loud thud, making all the drinks on the table spill. You smiled at the elf as you passed him, who had been gazing at you with a star struck expression. You thought nothing of it, you were a lowly human to compared to him, an elf. Judging by the way he dressed, he must have been one of the high elves but you could have been wrong. Besides, he had drunk an incredible amount of alcohol, and even though elves had a high alcohol tolerance his mind must have at least gone fuzzy. He couldn’t have been thinking straight.

You picked up as many empty glasses as you could, before making your way back to the counter. As you passed through the crowd, you heard a rowdy shout and you jumped as a hand landed on your behind. You swirled around to face a man with greasy shoulder length brown hair, the dullest brown eyes –the colour of mud – and crooked yellow teeth. He leered down at you, close enough for you to taste the alcohol in his breath. “Get me another one, darling,” he smiled broadly at you, yet it wasn’t a friendly smile, instead it creeped you out to no end.

Hey, it’s been a while! One of the questions I used today is the oldest one in my ask box (Which has 461 items in it, currently). It feels pretty cool to finally use it in a response. Anyhow, for those of you who recall, I said I would be promoting other works when I update from now on. And that is exactly the thing that I am about to lay down up in this description.

First of all, A new episode of The Game (a little interactive comic series I make with a few friends) came out tonight and you should totally check that out!! It’s also been posted on Denise’s deviantart.

Next, a little while ago I made a sort of tiny game in flash that was a concept test for what we might do with The Game if we made it into an actual, for-reals “"game”“. There’s a talksprite with my likeness in it! :D

Lastly, Denise also has a little store on Storyenvy where she sells prints and paintings and trinkets!. As someone with 6 or 7 of her prints hanging on my walls right now, I can definitely recommend it!
