“Martha” - Digital Oil Painting

It occurred to me that I’ve done a painting of most of the New Who female companions, but I’ve never done one of Martha. So I found a beautiful picture of Freema for reference and set about rectifying the situation. I think it turned out rather well. ^_^

Dear Steven Moffat:

I know you’re (FINALLY) leaving “Doctor Who”, but you’ve got one more season left to do.  So, I have a request for both you and whoever steps into your shoes.

Ready?

The Doctor has lost companions before.

He has been erased from their memories.

He has had companions die, often right before his eyes.

He has even killed his companions with his own hands when it became necessary.

STOP

TURNING

THE DOCTOR

INTO A WHINY EMO MESS WILLING TO SHRED TIME AND SPACE

EVERY GODDAMNED TIME A COMPANION DIES.

PLEASE.

[About Donna] “I just want you to know, there are worlds out there, safe in the sky because of her. That there are people living in the light, and singing songs of Donna Noble. A thousand, million light years away. They will never forget her, while she can never remember. But for one moment, one shining moment, she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe…”
