In Ayurveda, food is medicine. Sometimes I prefer to drink my fruits and veggies, especially when the weather warms up.
Some recent juicing experiments have resulted in delicious results.
Two organic limes or Meyer lemons
¼ piece of ginger (or like me, add more, i love the spice)
Two handfulls organic cilantro
½ bushel organic Lacinato kale
1 pear (optional)
Juice and enjoy.
And here’s a spring cleanser from my dear friend Kate.
This is a cleansing drink that cuts excess mucous and gets you *pumped up* without caffeine.
1 cup grapefruit juice
½-1 inch piece of raw ginger, peeled
¼-½ of a lemon, juiced (or lime)
1 tsp Raw honey
Dash of cayenne for the adventurous
Run half the juice and ginger in the blender until blended well, while its running, put the honey in the top, then the rest of the juice, lemon, and cayenne if using. Whip it for a minute in there, then drink up.
