downtown camera

Today is my two-year wedding anniversary – Rachel and I are celebrating this month with the purchase of our first home!

It’s a neat old house – built in 1935, but stripped to the studs and completely rebuilt in 2016 – located inside the Loop in the Greater East End-area, near Downtown Houston.

Rachel is getting a purple(ish) house, while I’m getting room for books and photography. Meanwhile, ’round back, there’s a huge patio space for entertaining, plus a three-car garage with a full garage apartment overhead.

As you may or may have not noticed, our social media interactions have been pretty sparse lately. Well that’s because your favorite camera store blogger has been in Europe on vacation for 3 weeks, without access to internet besides wifi on the mobile. Well now I’m back and it’s tame to get everyone back up to speed on what’s new at DTC. The biggest change? A giant metal grid covering our formerly blank walls, allowing us to have floor to ceiling bags in the shop. And we’ll need them since now we’re carrying Vanguard bags. So stay tuned, I’ll be posting new stuff all day long so you can see what’s in store, without leaving your chair.
