It can get a little… frogs-in-a-box…
Well, Comedy has been going down quite well, which is a heck of a relief. I’ve been doing some sonic tinkering on the compilation for Sturdy, which has raised my Excitement Levels to Fizzy - it’s a bloody marvellous bunch of songs and I can’t wait for people to hear them! The Loqui collaboration with Kroyd WUB - ‘We Drown On Dry Land' is astonishingly good, and there’s a brilliant Downdime rarity as well. All that and some cracking noises from The Seven Inches, T.O.Y.S., Post-War Glamour Girls, The Birthday Kiss (whose track, 'Choking’, for some reason brings to mind 'Run With Us’, the theme to the Raccoons cartoon series), oh, and loads of other stuff. Most fun however has been gained from the live version of Racket Ball’s 'When They Walked In’, which is a tour-de-force of lyrical ennui, brilliantly delivered and expertly timed. It’s ACE. And you will LOVE it.
Other things have been happening as well - we moved offices last week and my new room is brill - huge ceilings, airy and light (although there’s a floor-to-ceiling mirror I’m a little unnerved by). Everything feels much calmer. Very much appreciated.
Oh, and there’s the small matter of Faith flying back on Sunday. I’m not going to write any more about that because it’s for me and her and no-one else matters from Sunday. She gets ALL the attention from here on. I feel a little bit sick that I still have to wait four more days. Soon, though… :) :) :) :) :)
