Double Fine Adventure Reaches $2 Million Mark

Less than two weeks later, and Double Fine has raised over $2 million and has over 60,000 backers - 501% of the developer’s $400,000 mark.

Tim Schafer announced last week that the project is currently titled Double Fine Adventure and will be coming to PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android devices (so far, of course). Double Fine says that the additional funds will go to voice acting, original music, localization, etc, etc.

I get the feeling that this video series will see me transitioning from thinking Tim Schafer is awesome to actually being in real love with Tim Schafer.

If you want to back the Double Fine Adventure, it’s now or never - only 20 hours to go, and just $60k shy of $3 MILLION!

Oh, and watch this video.

The classic Grim Fandango is Remastered and now on PSN and Steam

LucasArts classic Grim Fandango has returned to the land of the living - which is some feat considering it’s set in the land of the dead. Well, that and it’s an adventure game that no one thought would ever get the love and treatment of a remaster it so rightfully deserved. Thankfully, we were wrong and classic adventure game is available to play now on Vita, PS4, PC and MAC.

I’ve spent more time than I’d like to admit hitting the reload button over and over again, just to see the number jump by a few hundred dollars.

I haven’t pledged anything yet because I’m broke at the momtent, but I’ll drop a few bucks as soon as I get paid.

This is amazing. They’re almost a million dollars over what they needed for funding, and there are still 32 days to go. This has only been up for a day (maybe two) if I’m correct.

Guess they don’t have a reason not to work on Psychonauts after this. Try to imagine, Ron Gilbert and Tim Schäfer working together again… on the sequel to my favorite game of all time.
