66. What is your heritage?

My mom’s Jewish and somewhat religious, so I learned a lot about that when I was younger - I went to a Jewish preschool, even. She immigrated from Israel, and her father’s family died in the holocaust, so that’s something we’ve talked about.

Aside from that, my family never really did much with our cultural heritage. I suppose I’m part Irish, but the most we’ve ever done with that is St. Patrick’s Day dinner. 

Another thing I should mention, since I grew up with it, is that my dad is very conservative, and not the reasonable-and-willing-to-compromise kind. My sister and I heard a lot about Ayn Rand, and he thinks being gay is a choice. Yeah…
