dotted tie

“What?” you immediately responded, guilt coloring your cheeks. Shame not allowing you to meet his eye.

“I just wanted you to know that,” Ward said, and his soft tone made you feel even worse.

“I… I know.”

You realized Ward hadn’t pushed any of the buttons on the elevator pad, the keys remaining dark.

“You looked like you needed to hear it,” he spoke gently, shifting into your sight-line so you had to look up at him or be forced to converse with his dotted maroon tie. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s… nothing,” you stammered, pinned to the spot and utterly exposed before those dark eyes.

“It’s my new assistant, isn’t it?” Ward asked, the hard lines of his face softening in that way they did when he almost smiled. You couldn’t deny him anything when he looked at you like that.

“She’s very… friendly,” you responded diplomatically, trying not to wince around the understated words.

“You mean she’s a pain in the ass,” Ward said with a quick roll of his eyes, and you snorted with unexpected laughter.

“She’s stricken,” you said more easily, the tension loosening from your muscles. “I can’t exactly blame her.”

“Well, I do,” Ward murmured as he reached around your shoulders, pulling you closer with an expression that was less than appropriate for the office. “It’s pretty damn obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that I already belong to someone.”

Before you could finish forming your blushing smile, Ward moved his hands upward, to either side of your jawline, and leaned forward. The kiss caught you by surprise, even though you saw it coming, and you immediately melted against his warm lips.

The elevator dinged.

Ward slowly pulled away from you, looking over his shoulder at the two board members who stood frozen, shock plain on their faces at the sight that met them once the elevator doors opened.

“Catch the next lift,” Ward said with perfect composure. “This one’s occupied.”

And then Ward reached across to the elevator pad and closed the doors.

But this time he asks him to design a special tie for him that’s turns into CU cape.
Like it looks like a regular poco dot tie but when he changes to cu and pulls it off it flows out into his cape and puts it on.

But it’s a surprise gift from Krupp to cu learning that his ADHD causes him to focus on his cape and will refuse to fight with out it so have it on him all the time it’s way easier for him!

And when Krupp tells him about it CU is just like stunned and jumps onto Krupp and hug tackles him to the floor on the thoughtful gift and Krupp tries to make it sound like he was getting sick of him tearing down his curtains while his face is flushed bright red
But we all know you care benny don’t lie

Bucky’s POV

Bucky lets out a frustrated grunt and pulls the blue tie from around his neck. You walk in, a sympathetic smile on your face. Bucky pouts at you as you wander over to his selection of ties and pick out your favourite.

“Stop stressing,” you mumble as he allows you to tie the black with white polka dot tie around his neck. Bucky appreciated you helping him, he was too much of a nervous wreck to do anything properly right now,

“They aren’t going to like me,” Bucky retorts, his mind set on it, “You’ve told me their fairly traditional, and I’m a white guy, why would they like me?”

“They’ll love you because I love you,” you reassure him as you straighten his tie, “There, perfect,”

Bucky leans down and softly kisses you on the lips, “I’m nervous,” he admits, feeling his stomach churn at the thought of meeting your family for the first time,

So do you have a favorite promo!Tom from the Skull Island press tour? And if so would you post it??!! I liked Mexico best - the suit and the song they sang to him, and his face when he heard them - altogether gorgeous.

Hi, little gray face!

Oh, dear.  What a question.

In the effort of not allowing myself to write a thesis about this, I have decided the following:

  • I will limit myself to Top Three
  • I am mainly focusing on the appearance aspect
  • I will not watch every video available from it for purposes of research
  • I will choose one favorite over all

So.  With all due respect to that lovely burgandy top that got a lot of use during day interviews, and the Cuddle Coat 2.0, and the double breasted suit from Japan, and the bold patterned suit from China…

*drum roll*

Third Prize goes to Mexico City Premiere Tom. Because that color is lovely.  And it is lovely on him.  I’m not absolutely in love with the pattern on the tie, but it’s fun and out of the ordinary.

Second Prize goes to Los Angeles Premiere Tom.  Because that tie with the lil hummingbirdies is so whimsical.  And I love the dotted pattern on the suit.  And I love the splash of the blue shirt.  Oh, plus, the fake out pocket on the right side doesn’t have a flap and that kind of makes me crazy in a good way and I’m not sure why.  It draws my attention to his waist?  Like I’m not sure, it just makes me wanna grip him right above his hips like one of those stuffed monkies with velcro on its hands and not let go.

First Prize goes to London Premiere Tom.  Because this whole thing is perfect.  It is a delightful mixture of patterns, shading, and texture.  I mean how can you not love the polka dots.  Really.  Only Dodgers fans and Communists would hate the polka dots.  The tie is textured and is the only solid color, perfectly placed.  Then we move on to the lapels.  I love the notch style with this pattern, it makes them stand out more than on the solid color suit from Mexico City.  And finally.  The pocket square.  The pocket square that could be the subject of a Frank Sinatra tune.  The pocket square that could be the lipstick stained clue that helps Poirot solve the case.  The pocket square that could be a patented aphrodisiac.  The pocket square that could be used to tenderly wipe away tears of pain and pleasure.  Yes, that pocket square.  It is verra wunduhfull.  *sigh*

And over all, I agree, Mexico City Tom was quite something  The atmosphere, the enthusiasm, the sombrero, the singing, the color in his ensemble…just all so happy.  He looked in his element.

Thank you for asking!  It was a great few weeks.  I imagine it was so gratifying for him to be greeted all over the world with such excitement and appreciation.  The haters can go kick rocks.  He’s aces for me all the time, period - no coming and going with the tide of media hullabaloo.  He is a delightful sparkly unicorn in a world of sad dull donkeys.  And he is still that whether in a Gucci ensemble that costs more than my car or in his comfy holey sweatpants, because that’s the difference between a person who periodically reflects light from a temporary external source by happenstance and a person who consistently emanates light from a permanent internal source by choice.  <3
