done at 2 in the morning

Take my shift and don't even show up

I work in the bulk foods department at my store and up until recently the manager has been super awesome and easy to work with.

This past Tuesday I came in to close at 2 and the freight load that’s supposed to be done in the morning wasn’t even touched yet, so I went and found him and he told me he was taking my Saturday morning shift because he had something come up and would have to take Wednesday and Thursday off. Completely fine with me I needed a day off. He was also a dick to me about the load because apparently it was enough stuff but whatever.

Saturday morning the assistant store manager calls and asks me if I’m coming in for my shift that day, I told her no and explained the situation how he was supposed to be in instead of me. She didn’t have me come in so that was awesome. We are on a points system at my work so if they try to give me them I’m calling bs and not signing that paper….

I open Sunday morning and people were saying how nice it was for me to show up to my shift that day. Everyone thought I no call no showed, which I’ve never done.

It pisses me off that he took my shift and then didn’t change the schedule and just didn’t show up??? Like what the fuck??????????? I won’t see him until Thursday and I don’t even want to go back he’s been such a dick about everything lately. And that move was fucking ridiculous 🖕🏼

Being present

I’m not the kind of person who lives in the past.  We all know people who do. Focus on past achievements, glory in past joys, dwell on past slights.  Yeah- I don’t do that.

My fault is that I’m always 2-5 steps ahead, always planning for the future. Thinking about what needs to be done. Making lists. Planning ahead.

That’s fine and all, but I need to balance it with some being present. I can be walking the dog on a perfect spring morning and thinking about all of the projects I have for summer.  I can be out at dinner with my love and thinking of what needs to be done at work the next day. I can be having sex and thinking that I should probably organize my closet and purge old clothes.  I mean, really.

Maybe that’s why my memory is so bad. My brain never registers where it really is in the moment.

I need to work on this. I need to learn, somehow, to enjoy the present.  I have a good life, full of sensual comforts and pleasures. I have two men who love me and enjoy my company. I have a growing son who continues to need my attention (whether he realizes it or not). I have a comfortable home, plenty of good food and pets that need loving. I have time to exist in the pleasures of life. And I stress about what I need to do next.

Shout out to the 2 year old who let me

1) tidy up and clean the kitchen
2) clean the bathroom
3) tidy up the tv room

without throwing a tantrum, following me trying to “help”, or attempting to get into toddler trouble.

Also shout out to Sesame Street for keeping his attention for a few minutes. You the real mvp big bird.

After lunch I’ll put him down for his nap and then prep some foods for the week!

My parents might come to visit but I haven’t heard from them yet.

But I’m glad i got a lot of stuff done when I could, plus we went food shopping this morning so that’s done! Ready for a successful WW week!

30 day otp challenge | day 4: cuddling somewhere

How to Succeed at School

1. Get into the habit of being an early riser. We can all benefit from having a little bit of extra time in the morning. It reduces stress, helps to prevent you from forgetting things, and stops that crazy morning rush.

2. Deliberately decide to tune out distractions. Turn off the TV, social media, your phone, and hide away when you need to get work done.

3. Prepare for the next day the night before. Check off your mental to-do list and prepare for the next day before you go to bed. If possible, choose your clothes, find your books, pack your bag, and so on.

4. Prioritise being organized. For example, it often helps to use an agenda to stay on track with assignments and homework.

5. Go to bed at a reasonable time. A good night’s sleep is one of the best tips for learning, remembering and doing well at school.

6. Make reading one of your hobbies. Research indicates that reading is one of the best ways for developing language skills and building a strong vocabulary.

7. Eat well. A protein breakfast and balanced meals help sustain your energy throughout the day, and is essential for building a healthy brain.

8. Get fresh air and exercise. This helps with mental alertness, concentration, an efficient memory and a positive mood.

10 Easy Changes You Can Make To Your Lifestyle To Be Happier And Healthier Almost Instantly

I’ve been having some issues lately with staying positive and pushing myself to build healthy habits. At times I get too wrapped up in work and friends and my education that I forget that I’m a human being and that I need to put myself higher on my list of priorities. I have a major problems with articles that claim they have “easy” tips for being happy and healthy overnight. It’s really not that simple, and I’m not going to lie, the ones below aren’t a cakewalk for everyone, but I thought they were useful in my own experience and wanted to share them with you.

  1. Every time you reach for a soda or an extra coffee, switch it out for water. It provides a healthier and more long term boost of energy by clearing out those mentally depressing toxins from your body.
  2. Meditate once a day. Even if it’s only 30 seconds in the morning after you’ve finished getting ready, take a step back and devote some time to becoming calm and clearing your head to increase focus and encourage a peaceful mindset.
  3. Exercise. Don’t create a hardcore 2 hour daily workout routine right off the bat after months of little to no activity. Start small, maybe 10 abdominal exercises, 10 leg exercises, and 10 weighted tricep curls on each arm paired with a 15 minute walk around the block. There. That’s only roughly 30 minutes of your day and you’re not even sweaty enough to have to shower afterwards.
  4. Use natural ingredients as skin care. Moisturize with coconut oil, make your own essential oils and charcoal face wash, soap, and bath bombs, and maybe devote 1-2 days of the week to wearing no make up (if you wear it every day) in order to let your skin breathe.
  5. Keep your space organised. When you’ve just changed and that sweater you wore today is on the floor, take the two extra seconds to hang it up or fold it and put it away. When you’re done with your meal, rinse it and put it in the dish washer. It’s not that difficult to prevent your home from becoming a pig sty.
  6. Make your bed every morning. It’s a good habit to have, it makes your room look nice and clean, even if there are some things on the floor, and it makes it look even more appealing when you look over at 11 PM and decide whether to watch another episode of your Netflix obsession or get some beauty rest.
  7. Speaking of sleep, do it! Regularly! It is essential to your health and happiness to get a good amount of sleep every night. 7-10 hours is the recommended amount of nightly rest you should fit in, so set a bedtime and your alarm and get that shut eye.
  8. Spend the time to treat yourself. If you think a 20 minute sheet mask or some extra time to have a cup of tea and read your latest pick from the library shelves, set that time aside to enjoy yourself and wind down. You need the time to recharge, so keep that high on your priority list.
  9. Keep a planner. It may be something you’re already doing, but if you’re not, this is a life changing habit to have. Every morning, write down your to-do list, your schedule, and any reminders. Save some room on your calendar for any plans that may pop up and your life will instantly be more organised and you’ll be way less likely to forget that really important due date.
  10. Don’t push positivity if it isn’t there. Nobody is happy and bubbly and super motivated all the time, so don’t spend all of your time reblogging positivity quotes on Tumblr or trying to ignore every emotion that is “negative”. You’re human. Life happens and sometimes you’ll be just plain blue. It’s healthy to acknowledge the feelings that make you feel hopeless and unmotivated and seem all too frequent. The sun will shine tomorrow and you will find more and more reasons to fill every moment with meaning every single day.

Here’s to future health and happiness for you all. Cheers! x

I dunno, it's 2:30am here and maybe this is a bad idea but I can't sleep so hell I'll send a message. Hi Wil Wheaton, what's a depressed guy to do when he needs to apply to jobs but is scared that he can't handle the rejections that will happen, or the inevitable chipping away of his self esteem, that is only made worse by being trans and not passing very well. (I know you can't help with that last part, but again, it's 2:30am, and my brain is not working very well.)

I can’t help you with that last part, but I want you to know that I see you and I love you for who you are. My friend, Robyn, is the co-founder of mytranshealth, and maybe that’s a good starting point to connect with a support network? I’m so sorry if it’s massively inappropriate for me to suggest that.

But the first part? Maybe I can help a little bit? Being rejected sucks, and it hurts. In my life and work (I’ve tried and not always succeeded to separate the two) I’ve worked very hard to remind myself that it’s never personal when I don’t get a job. It sure feels like it, though, and getting up to try again after I’ve been rejected is always hard.

In The Nerdist Way, Hardwick tells us that our brains try to protect us, and they try to stop us from taking chances because if we don’t take the chance, we can’t be disappointed or hurt. Our brains are trying to do us a kindness, but they actually aren’t helping, so we have to make the deliberate choice to tell our brains to back off and take care of other stuff.

That is so much easier said than done, but the only way we can get used to it is by practicing it.

Also, 2:30 in the morning is one of those parts of the day when everything feels much worse or much better than it actually is. I’ve reblogged a thing here a few times that reminds us to go for a walk, to get into a change of clothes, to eat a good meal, to do things that we maybe aren’t doing, because doing those things breaks the cycle of depression. You can’t do that at 2:30 in the morning, really, but if you feel like you’re not going to go to sleep anyway, maybe take a nice hot shower? Make a cup of tea and sit down with a book you like, or an episode of a show that you like? I’ve been listening to audiobooks on Spotify when I need my brain to fuck off and let me sleep. I’ve heard the first chapter of The Metamorphosis for like five days in a row, and that guy’s voice is great at soothing me to sleep. The recordings come from LibreVox, so maybe you can find something there?

I feel like I’m not being as helpful as I’d like to be. I want to reveal a great secret that makes it all so much easier, but the truth is that everything worth doing is hard, and You from the Future will be so grateful to You From Now because You From Now faced the fear and accepted the challenge of risking the rejection so you could find employment for Future You.

I really hope some of this helps. Maybe someone else on Tumblr has better words of comfort or wisdom to share? I’d love it if you’d check in with me, and let me know how you’re doing, whenever you’re ready.

Tips for the aspiring Garden Witch

So, you’re past the “Witchcraft 101” phase, and you feel like you’ve chosen your path. Green Witchcraft. Now, labels aren’t a necessary thing, but they do help label yourself to be able to find your kin. That’s a different discussion for another time, but either way, here’s a bunch of things you can do to further your craft other than read up on it on Tumblr.com!

1. Start a garden! If you haven’t done this yet, you should! Beltane is right around the corner at the time of writing, and it is the perfect time to sow seeds outside. Some good options for beginners are: Basil, Mint, Chamomile, Lavender, Mustard, Oregano, Rosemary, Morning Glory, Moonflower, Thyme, Dahlias, Lily Of The Valley, just to name a few!

2. Go for a walk in your local forest and start a notebook on what plants you find where. I personally like pressing flowers and leaves in mine, and then writing down its botanical information, its magical and medicinal value and properties, and where it is found. You can also include illustrations, recipes, and growing information on the specific plants you find, if you were to grow them yourself.

3. Do the same for fauna! Find out which animals live near you, their symbolism, correspondences, etc… Include imagery, illustrations, lore, and other identifying information for them.

4. Visit your local wildlife reserve and learn how you can help! Whether that be learning what a certain type of bird eats, or how to preserve a certain type of beetle.

5. Meditate and attempt spirit conjuration with your plants! Rosemary and Rose tend to be good starting points. Both very feminine and sweet in my experience.

6. Take a tea-mixing class. This way you can mix your own herbal teas for different purposes, both magical and medicinal!

I am currently very tired so this probably might not even make sense in the morning but…

I’m imagining a D&D minigame (probably lasts 1-2 hours tops unless you’re having fun with it) meant to break the ice for new groups, in which the DM controls an adventuring party and the players control NPCs as they naturally pop up. Specifically, it could help new players get comfortable with roleplaying without the pressure of sticking to a character they just made. If you do this before the character creation stage, then even better because they may stumble into a character they like acting out.

Rules that I’m just rambling out please forgive me if they are nonsensical:

  • It’s all improv. Don’t break a scene to look up game mechanics like prices, or which checks to make, or what would give advantage/disadvantage. This is about the acting so if it’ll throw off the groove, make it up on the spot. It’s all about quick thinking.
  • No modifiers. You’re all making things up on the spot so if you have to roll something, don’t waste time justifying who would have what stats. You could even go without dice altogether. The d20 is just an optional element of chance here.
  • Mandatory introductions. I don’t care how goofy it is. state your name, race, class/occupation, a random character trait, and how their day’s been going up until this point. As many as you can off the top of your head. Go nuts because things get silly before they get really creative, in my experience. Note: Character voices are encouraged. For funsies.
  • Everyone participates in a scene. No pressure on how much they interact, but in each new setting, every player has to put one NPC in that tavern, shopping square, riot crowd, etc.
  • Plot not needed. The adventuring party strategically wanders in a way that builds a town/city/etc as the players make it up. The DM isn’t in charge of telling a story here, just keeping the energy of the improv scene going. This includes-
  • Leading Questions. This one’s the challenge for you, DM who likely already has a control complex and likes to plan out every detail of everything in their world because it gives them a sense of security. If anything, you are the one who most needs to be good at rolling with whatever your players hand you. For the sole purposes of making you uncomfortable, the newcomer adventuring party knows absolutely nothing about this town. Thankfully, the citizens know everything about it. Which is good because you need directions to find your way out of your rented hovel room let alone to the temple–oh that’s right. Who’s the patron there? You sure don’t know! Better ask someone! Get that DMs?? YOU KNOW NOTHING.
    • Important: If the scene starts slowing down, it’s up to you to either encourage and interact with these townsfolk some more, or get moving somewhere else.

Example scene: order of NPC choice is determined by an initiative roll.

DM: “Alright, so four adventurers walk into the tavern you’re in–”
Player 1: “Oh! I call the bartender.”
Player 3: “Aw… I had a bit I was gonna do.”
Player 1: “Okay, okay fine, I’m the owner of the tavern, Marcus McMuffin the half orc–stop laughing–and uh… I have a tattoo of a dwarf lover that literally no one else knows about? And my day’s been…hm. It’s been awful because I got stood up for a meeting. DM, I basically live in here, so I’d know they’re new, right? I wanna know if these guys look like trouble makers.”
DM: “The Barbarian’s flexing at anyone who looks in his general direction but other than him fancying a typical bar brawl, they seem decent–if lost.”
Player 2: “I’m the elven bard in the corner and I start trying to seduce the Barbarian with my beautiful voice!!”
DM: “Listen… you can’t just use your character from the last game. Cherry the Elven Bard would’ve totally seduced the barbarian but who are you now?… Nah it’s fine, dude. Take your time. We’ll come back to you.”
Player 3: “I’m the crazy old village drunkard who’s a human named Steve–”
Player 1: “I thought you said you wanted the bartender!”
Player 3: “–Who samples a lot of the wares and is thus the village drunkard! I said I was doing a bit, jeez! DM, I start rambling loudly at the strangers about something that sounds like one of those super infuriating sidequests–you know the kind–where you have to go through a lot of bullshit busywork and the longest fetch quest of your life but there’s a promise of GREAT loot at the end so you consider it anyway. You know what I mean? What do I do for that, roll deception? Persuasion?”
DM: “Nope. No rolls. Personally, I am so on board with this but I need you to make this speech right here and I need you to sell it.”
Player 3: “Oh boy.”

If for some reason you want to try this please give me a rundown of how it went because I feel like it’s the perfect recipe for hilarious trainwrecks that come with all good icebreakers. (I feel like it’d be a fun drinking game somehow? But I don’t play enough to know how to work alcohol in in a reasonable manner. I’ll leave that one up to house rules.)

Taverns & Tanneries, never coming to a game store near you lmao

Edit: I just realized that when the group starts playing a real campaign, you can embarrass them by working their goofily-named NPCs in, keeping an entirely straight face while doing so. Watch as they squirm and laugh-cry over having to discuss the fate of the world with Marcus McMuf’an. If only they’d known.

If only they’d known what was to become of Marcus McMuffin.

Daveed sighed as he laid on his back in bed next to your sleeping form, restless because he’d been wide awake for almost an hour now. It was one of those nights where his brain was on overdrive. His mind wandered from replaying the lyrics to the new clipping. song he was working on to images of the small baby animals he saw while doing a voiceover for a Disney documentary.

Letting his eyes fall shut, he wrapped his arms tighter around you, pulling you up against his chest. He buried his face into your neck, trying his hardest to clear his mind as best he could.

You stirred in his embrace, awakening groggily and slowly due to the new feeling of Daveed’s warm breath on your neck.

“D?” you murmured tiredly, shifting closer to the warmth his body created.

“Mm,” He hummed against you, his voice rough from not using it for a few hours. He was tired, yes, but the way his train of thought couldn’t come to a stop kept him wide awake, awake enough to respond with no sleep evident in his tone at all.

“D, go the fuck to sleep.”

Yuri on Ice BD booklet translation (with Eiji Abiko & Junpei Tatenaka interview) - Volume 3

Had a busy weekend, but finally here is the full translation of the BD/DVD vol.3 booklet. The format is the same as usual. I wonder if Yuuri was ever able to enjoy a banquet (and remember it), lol.

EDIT: I changed the translation of the street food eaten by Guang-Hong in episode 6 after being notified that it’s actually the Chinese “jianbing”, which is a kind of crepe, and not “rice cracker” which is what “senbei” means in Japanese. Thank you very much @dragonaeve  for the input!! In Japanese it’s written 煎餅, with the same exact kanji of “senbei” (rice cracker), and though in the anime it totally didn’t look like a senbei to me I failed to notice that it was a false friend… (And to think I even researched all the other Chinese food listed in the topics section to be sure..)

The booklet has 3 parts:
1) Character introduction for Minami-kun, Georgi and Leo.
2) “Topics”, in other words random curiosities. It includes an explanation of how Japanese qualification matches work.
3) Interview with the figure skating animators Eiji Abiko and Junpei Tatenaka. Some of the things they say might be a little difficult to understand if you don’t know a lot about how animation works, but if you google “inbetween animations” you will find more detailed information. The parts in round brackets are exactly like they are in the original text, it’s not something I added.

Translations of the audio commentary and choreography parts coming in the next few days… (As usual I still haven’t even been able to put the BD in the player despite having it since the 23rd, sigh)

***If you wish to share this translation please do it by reblogging or posting a link to it***

***Re-translating into other languages is ok but please mention that this post is the source***

The future protagonist of Japan’s figure skating world!

Kenjirou Minami
voiced by Ayumu Murase

Profile
Date of birth: August 18th, 17 years old
Height: 155 cm
Blood type: O
From Hakata, Fukuoka prefecture

Introduction
Last season, all eyes were on him when in the Japan National Championships, in which he participated from the junior section, he became the center of attention and obtained the bronze medal at the young age of 16. This season, which marks his senior debut, he first succeeded in a quadruple jump at the Chu-Shikoku-Kyushu Regional Tournament. Despite his small build, he brightens the hearts of the audience with his energetic skating and exhuberant dancing. The success rate of his quadruple jump and triple axel is still low, but he is the most promising young athlete that might become the future Japanese ace.
He admires Yuuri Katsuki, who is from Kyushu like him, and for this reason he chose “Lohengrin” as his short program in the current season. His parents are doctors and his older brother is also a medical student.

The late-blooming veteran becomes a witch.

Georgi Popovich
voiced by Wataru Hatano

Profile
Date of birth: December 26th, 27 years old
Height: 178 cm
Blood type: private
Russian

He is a veteran who can perform high jumps worthy of one of Yakov’s students, but always tended to be overshadowed by fellow student Nikiforov. In this season where Nikiforov is absent he chose 2 programs based on the theme of “heartbreak” to fight to become Russia’s top athlete. With his peculiar artistic sense, in the short program he plays an evil witch that puts a curse on the princess, and in the free the prince that will save her.
As also stated by Yakov, he practices hard and strictly follows his coach’s advices. He always entertains fans with his feminine costumes and in Japan is popularly called “pigeon”.

Because music was always with me.

Leo de la Iglesia
voiced by Shunichi Toki

Profile
Date of birth: August 2nd, 19 years old
Height: 167 cm
Blood type: O
American

Introduction
A skater that knows how to show his charm and always performs programs brimming with originality, choreographed by himself. He doesn’t jump quadruples, but his Program Components are highly praised because of his performances that give importance to the music. This season he tried his hand at hip-hop in the short program and won the American tournament of the Grand Prix series, held in his country. He is riding on the wave.
In his everyday life he is a cheerful American of Mexican origin and is very sociable. He has many friends among fellow figure skaters and his fans are always looking forward to the private shots he uploads on the SNS. He respects Nikiforov, who also choreographs his own programs.

YURI!!!’s TOPIC

TOPIC 1: Greed to SNS** (Thirst for the SNS)
There are many skaters who share information with fans all over the world via the internet. Now that SNS are popular, skaters will upload a variety of contents, from their practice footage to their daily meals and private pictures of their holidays, some even being as open as to post romantic shots with their lovers. Fans can’t take their eyes off the social networks. In this regard, one of the hottest accounts is Thailand’s Phichit Chulanont’s. From pictures of his fainted teacher to candid shots of other skaters, he uploads any “juicy moment” he witnesses, in a way being the terror of the ones close to him. However, fans absolutely don’t want him to change his habits.
[**translator’s note: “Greed to SNS” is what is actually written in English in the booklet, the part in round brackets is a more exact translation of what the Japanese says. All titles of the topics are in both Japanese & English and I’m usually leaving the original English as it is unless it’s weird.]

*Yuuri’s “Hanarezu ni Soba ni Ite” was also spread to the world
*The results of matches and other news are always at hand
*Maybe Anya’s gaze was already turned to someone else here…?
(Phichit’s collection)
*Regular updates about his state
*He will never miss the chance to get a good shot
*Sometimes it’s important to have the courage to upload!

TOPIC 2: Personal Best Score
In figure skating, which is a technical sport, an athlete’s highest score up to the present is called “personal best” and the highest score of the season “season best”. Not only his ranking, but whether he managed to surpass his personal best is very important for a skater’s motivation. The season best is also important, because some big tournaments like the World Championships have a required minimum score to participate. ISU (International Skating Union) openly displays all skaters’ personal bests, but only the results obtained in competitions officially recognized by ISU are a target, therefore even if a skater achieves good results in the Japan National Championships or the Chu-Shikoku-Kyushu Regional Tournament, unfortunately they will not be recognized.

*The score display for regional tournaments is simple
*The electric scoreboard of the GP’s China tournament (showing the PB mark too)
*The TV live broadcast shows the PB mark too

TOPIC 3: National Competitions
For Japanese skaters to be able to represent the nation in the World Championships or the Olympics, they need to first win the regional block tournaments and then rank high in the Japan National Championships in December. There are 6 block tournaments, including the “Chu-Shikoku-Kyushu Regional Tournament” in which Yuuri participated, and if you rank high in these you qualify for the Eastern Japan or Western Japan Championships. And if you rank high in those you can proceed to the National Championships (the ones who ranked among the highest the previous year and the ones who have to attend overseas tournaments close to the date of the national competition will be exempted from the qualifiers). By the way, regarding the Grand Prix Series, participants are chosen based on the results obtained in international tournaments the previous year and other elements.

*4 senior athletes are participating in the Chu-Shikoku-Kyushu Regional Tournament
*The skating order is chosen by drawing lots the day before
*Official practice takes place 2 times, in the morning of the day of the SP and FS
*It’s not rare for tournaments to be held in rinks without viewer stands
*The skating order and raking are printed on paper
*The award ceremony is often done outside of the rink and not on the ice

TOPIC 4: Chinese Gourmet
This year’s China tournament of the Grand Prix was held in Beijing. While other athletes are preparing for the match, Victor and Yuuri went to enjoy the traditional Chinese “hotpot”. Various kinds of food, like mutton, are dipped in a pot that has two compartments, one with mild hot water soup and the other with spicy Mala soup. “Duck blood” is also a classic dish that goes with hotpot. The Chinese representant Guang-Hong Ji, who isn’t a fan of hotpot, likes the jianbing (crepes) sold at food stalls. Before the matches Yuuri was paying attention to what he ate not to compromise his physical condition, but at the banquet he had to look after a drunken Victor and it doesn’t seem that he could really have a taste of the Chinese delicacies.

*Winter is the season of Chinese mitten crab. The same as the skating season!
*”Drunken shrimp” consists of live shrimps soaked in alcohol
*”Duck blood” has a high nutritional value
*People dip their favorite ingredients in the hotpot
*Rice crackers are affordable snacks that can be purchased from food stalls

Figure skating animation
Eiji Abiko & Junpei Tatenaka interview

Tatenaka-san’s Victor is so elegant. (Abiko)
Abiko-san’s spins are amazing! (Tatenaka)

Abiko: I also took part in the production of director Yamamoto’s previous work “ENDLESS NIGHT”, but I’ve always liked drawing looking at real life pictures, therefore when I was offered this job I thought that I had the necessary technical skills to do it. In the previous work there were some points I believed could have been done a different way, and I felt that in this new project we could try it out.
Tatenaka: Before starting the job, I was suggested to try figure skating myself since the work was going to be about it, so I went to a skating class. Though it was just 4 days. The last time I skated was in elementary school, but (when I actually tried this time) I realized that I was going to draw something I knew nothing about. I could understand on which part of the blade you shift your weight when skating forward or backward, and that was really helpful later on. (When I watched the real life footage) after knowing that, I noticed that skaters really land on those points after a jump. They can land on the exact point even after spinning around at that speed! When I see videos where you can see them stress the landing to adjust the position so that they don’t miss the point I have goosebumps.

-Ideas to make performances look beautiful.-

T: What I realized when we started working is that scenes were very long, in the beginning.
A: The director wanted to recreate a figure skating program and was determined to show the full sequence without shortening it. This means that all movements need to be connected, which takes a lot of work.
T: Especially in the first part of the show, there were many sequences over 10 seconds long. You draw and draw and it never ends (LOL).
A: To make skating performances look beautiful, I guess it was important to add a fair amount of inbetween animations (pictures added between key animations to supplement them). We gradually understood that using many key animations during slow movements wouldn’t make them look better unless they are very accurate.
T: I had the idea to show the poses on screen for a longer time. (I was among the ones who went to Miyamoto-sensei’s choreography sessions, and) even poses that were really impressive when I saw them live only lasted an instant in the recorded footage, and it shifted to the next pose right away. If we recreated that in the anime, poses that were supposed to look impressive wouldn’t last, therefore I decided to use 2 extra key animations for some parts, so that the beautiful silhouette would stay in the viewers’ eyes. I like to draw “impressions”, and I always work thinking about what I want to show and communicate to the viewers. With figure skating I felt this all the more important.
A: There are many things I found amazing about the scenes created by Tatenaka-san. Like Victor’s elegance in episode 1, isn’t that wonderful? When I watched it I was like “jeez, I need to get better too”, and he also has lots of ideas. Like JJ’s spin. I was determined to absolutely learn something from all that.
T: Thank you. I like how Abiko-san draws all the characters properly. Yuuri always has an expression that fits his personality and the situation. And the spins are amazing! I couldn’t draw them satisfactorily and had to redraw them many times… I admit I was envious of Abiko-san’s soft touch that makes movements connect so smoothly.
A: My favorite character is Otabek. I like how he is tough and cool.
T: I like Giacometti. And JJ and Minami-kun. I think they are the ones I could figure out the best when drawing them.
A: When the anime actually aired we had a huge response. Fans would write to me on Twitter, and every time I uploaded a picture I would get a lot of reactions.
T: It was the first time that I had such a response, I was really surprised. I’m a fan of the baseball team Carp, and when I went to drink with my friends everyone knew “Yuri on Ice”. One person told me “a girl in my company watches it, she was praising it a lot”. It never happened to me so far!

-The biggest miracle is that all this staff could come together.-

A: Tatenaka-san also took part in the production of “ENDLESS NIGHT”, but this is the first time that we worked in the same space. I was really glad that he was there working in the same position as me. I can grumble about work (LOL), and he can understand me.
T: It’s really like that. Watching Abiko-san I realized that Yuuri must be difficult to animate because he changes a lot, and when I was working on long sequences he would leave me alone. And he would talk to me when I finished. Things like that.
A: I didn’t really do all that on purpose (LOL). But you really feel relieved (when there is someone else in your same position). There were also many other people around 40 years old, like the chief animation director Shishido-san, so we had things in common to talk about.
T: It’s really a miracle that all this staff could come together. I think it was a difficult job for everyone, from the colors to the backgrounds to all the rest, not just us. But they were all people who would do whatever they could. Everyone would always find something to do.
A: It would have been a problem if even one of them were missing. In difficult workplaces it happens that some people will get sick or leave, but this time it didn’t happen.
T: The production staff, who probably had the hardest time, was outstanding and did their best. They were all young, but when they brought you things to fix saying “I want to make this better” you couldn’t refuse.
A: Everyone got along well and even when they complained it was always jokingly. It was a really nice group.

top five LOUIS stage moments? (soz i saw the harry one and am tagging on)

NEVER APOLOGIZE. LETS GO.

1. A moth searched for the brightest light in the room and booped Louis :’)

2. Louis making it his personal goal to be Niall’s favorite by changing the lyrics in Over Again every goddamn show

3. Louis’ unadulterated happiness when he got to sing about morning wood

4. THE GATORADE FIGHT ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LOOK AT THAT TOT ON THE LOOSE

5. BUT the best thing Louis has ever done on stage was jumping into his soulmate’s arms one second after being put into a band together.

I don’t make the rules.

Another Silly Sportarobbie Headcanon

Robbie Rotten only uses affectionate names for Sportacus for two reasons
1.  When he is being privately affectionate.
2.  When he is absolutely 100% done with Sportacus.

For example:
*Sportacus is in the middle of making food and is being 200% more extra™ about it than he really ought to be*
Robbie: “Sportacus?”
Sportacus: “Yes Robbie?”
Robbie: “Light of my life?  Bringer of my joy?  Apple Strudel of my Eye?”
Sportacus: “Yes…?”
Robbie: “- the reason I get up in the morning and what beckons me to bed every eve…”
Sportacus: “… Um… Robbie?  You only say things like that when you are either really happy or very frustrated…”
Robbie: “Take a wild guess.”
Sportacus: “… Oh.  Sorry Robbie! :}D”

college scheduling tips

-AVOID 8 AM CLASSES. 8 am in college is so much worse than 8 am in high school. i used to wake up at 6:30 in hs no problem and now waking up before 8:30 is really hard. some people are better or worse with 8 am’s but they still suck.

-that being said, sometimes you gotta take an 8 am if it’s a class that you need and it’s only offered certain times in certain quarters/semesters. but if it’s not required and it’s not a time-sensitive class, avoid 8 am’s

-if you get stuck with an 8 am do one of 2 things depending on what works best for you:

-cluster all your classes in the morning that day so you don’t end up having your first class at 8 am and your last at 6 pm. you might have to wake up early, but then then you could be done by 1 pm

-OR do that 8 am and try to schedule a huge gap so you can nap or rest after the 8 am then be ready for the rest of your classes

-cluster your classes. this tip is more circumstance-dependent.

-if you live off campus you might wanna cluster your classes as close together as you can get (with reasonable time in between for a meal break if necessary) so that you don’t have to be on campus all day. however, I know some people like spending all day on campus, treating it like a job, spending free time in the library or somewhere on campus.

-if you live on campus clustering is still a good idea, but if your dorm is close to classes and it’s convenient to go back and forth, then clustering may not be necessary.  i prefer to only have classes taking up a small chunk of my day; clustering my classes allows me more large spaces of free time which lets me work more hours and have longer chunks of studying

-take harder classes when you’ll have more energy. if you can, try to get those important, difficult classes that require a lot of focus at better times (for most people this would be the middle of the day), whenever you think you’ll be more alert and have more energy. easy blow off classes can be saved for the dreaded time slots (early morning, night time, whenever you will hate being in class most). these are the classes that either don’t require your attendance or lecture doesn’t matter much bc it just rehashes readings or it’s a common sense class (lots of lower division social justice oriented classes fall in this category)

mornings are filled with yawns, playful kisses, and the feeling of your loved one beside you

seungcheol: Seungcheol yawned, the fresh smell of bacon traversing to him. His cookie pajamas hung low around his hips, and the shirt he wore managed to show a small sliver of skin. “Good morning to you too,” you muttered, laughing as you felt his arms wrap around your waist. “You left the bed too quickly,” he mumbled sleepily, fuzzy black hair tickling the side of your face. “Mm, sorry about that. Guess you won’t be hungry then..”

He whined as you walked away with the plate of bacon, playfully munching on a piece. You giggled at your boyfriend’s childishness and set the plate down, reaching up to brush some of his hair out of his face. “Come on. Time for breakfast, leader.” He chuckled. “I am the leader, huh?”

wonwoo: Still safely sound asleep in bed, you only managed to wake up upon feeling the empty space in the bed push down next to you. You shifted, and notice that outside the curtains was still quite dark, and the numbers on the clock shined, reading 5:23 AM. Remembering someone had slipped into the bed next, to you, you quickly swerved, sighing in relief when a black mop of hair came into vision.

“Good morning. Did I scare you?” Wonwoo’s deep voice asked, and he laughed quietly. “I’m sorry, I was hoping not to wake you up.” You yawned, turning fully on your side. “It’s fine, I’m just glad you’re home.” Wonwoo chuckled. “Yeah, Jihoon had me staying there until like 4 am to record the last of the vocals, and then we just had some mixing and harmonies to finish.” You, however, had already fallen asleep once again, and were lightly snoring peacefully. He smiled. “Alright, I get the memo. Sweet dreams.”

mingyu: “How many cups of milk..?” you muttered, trying to read the side of the box of pancake mix. It was early, barely a few moments after sunrise, however wanting to surprise Mingyu, you devised the plan to wake up and hopefully make him a breakfast as nicely as he did for you. The only thing was, you were currently stuck trying to figure out the difference between a tablespoon and a teaspoon.

You were able to suffice with a pair of decent looking pancakes, and a side of waffles with a glass of orange juice. Deciding not to bring it to the room in case of spills, you tip-toed back into the room, Mingyu still snoring, a slight pool of drool streaming from his mouth. You winced, but still shook his shoulders calmly, watching his eyes flutter open, a dopey smile lining his face as he rose and began stretching. “Good morning.” You ruffled his hair. “Come on, sleepy. I made you breakfast this morning,” you commented proudly. Mingyu quickly froze. “You didn’t burn it, right?” You huffed. “Rude. I guess I’ll eat by myself then.”

Mingyu quickly wrapped his arms around your waist, his face stuffed in your chest as he was still sitting down on the bed. He looked up at you with his best puppy-dog eyes. “I’d never let you eat alone, even if it is burnt.”

hansol: Hansol sat up, being careful not to wake the person sleeping next to him. Carefully reaching for his phone, he glanced at the time, it being nearly 12 in the afternoon. The two of you enjoyed sleeping in when possible, and last night, you’d both went to sleep much later than usual. The dark curtains hid any sunlight from the windows, and Hansol sighed in content, remembering he had a free day today.

He jumped as he felt a hand grasp his own, and sighed when he felt the familiar size difference of your smaller hand. You’d worn his sweatshirt to bed, and you had to admit, it was very soft, it giving off the smell of Hansol. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he pulled the covers over the both of you, leaving a small portion open so that a bit of light shone through and so you could breathe.

Hansol smiled when you opened your eyes, gentle, forgiving hazel eyes staring back into your own. “Morning, baby. Did you sleep okay?”

How to Be Productive in College

So, this is my third semester in college and I feel I’ve picked up a few tips and tricks for being productive and getting stuff done. These are things that work best for me and could help you to make better use of your time!

1. Don’t study where you sleep. I find it incredibly difficult to focus on anything in my dorm room. I usually end up watching netflix or scrolling through tumblr, and if I lay down on my bed, forget about it, I won’t get anything done. I like to go to the library across the street from my building and snag a table to spread out all my work.

2. Keep track of your assignments. Use a planner, getplan.co, google calendars, a bujo, excel, or anything that works for you (I like a planner). My first semester I didn’t write down anything and tried to just remember it all and it was a disaster. I would constantly forget things and start assignments an hour before they were due, resulting in more stress for me.

3. Set manageable goals. Don’t try to do too much in one day, you’ll end up stressing about it and not getting done what you really need to get done. Focus on a few things a day and don’t attempt to do everything at once.

4. Don’t over-caffeinate. I LOVE coffee. I drink 2 cups every morning and one after dinner if I really need to focus. But, if I drink too much I end up shaking and hyper and I can’t do anything because my body is basically vibrating. Plus, I’ll usually end up unable to fall asleep at night which wrecks my eight hours and screws with the next day.

5. Take breaks. Personally, I like to use the pomodoro method, 25 mins working, 5 min break. It allows me to focus better and has been proven to work. That way rather than checking my phone every time it buzzes, I only look at it when I’m on a break! To enforce that I use the Forest app on my phone, so I can’t use it unless I want to kill my trees.

6. Listen to motivating music. I have Spotify, so I like to make specialized playlists depending on what type of music I need. I have movie scores, like How To Train Your Dragon and HP, for when I have to read my textbooks and upbeat pop and classic rock for everything else. Find what works for you and plug your headphones in!

7. Don’t try to multitask. Pick one thing and do that. Don’t try to do 3 different things at once like watch netflix while trying to read your textbook and take notes. You’re setting yourself up for failure. Your brain can’t possibly retain all that information and still be doing its best. Try to pick one thing and focus on it.

We Fight, We Breakup, We Fuck, We Makeup- Derek Luh Smut

Request: Could I request an imagine with Derek where we’ve been together for 2 years and we get into a huge fight but we make up with something a bit smutty

Warnings: Cursing and I’ve never written smut before so this might be crappy 🙈😩

I was sitting at home scrolling through Instagram and checking out my Twitter mentions while watching Catfish simultaneously. I put my phone down for a couple seconds to channel surf when I hear a car pull into the driveway.

Derek’s home from the studio. Finally. Lately Derek has been going to the studio and coming back late, but I’ve always fallen asleep before he gets back. I hope there’s nothing I should be worried about.

My thoughts are soon stopped in place when I hear the keys jingle in the door it opens ever so slightly. He walks in and a gust of wind blows through the house. I’m suddenly slapped in the face by a strong scent of alcohol mixed with… weed.

Is he serious right now? We’ve talked about this shit, over and over and he thinks he can get away with it?! No. Not today. Before he sees me, I turn around and walk towards the staircase and sit on the fourth step, my feet resting on the third. Phone in hand, and ready to yell.

He closes the door behind him and stops in his tracks when he sees me sitting on the steps. “Hey baby. How are you,” Derek smiles. I look at him up and down and notice that his eyes are bloodshot red. He’s high right now.

When he notices that I don’t reply, he asks, “What’s wrong, baby?” Still ignoring his questions, I finally speak up. “Did you have fun at the ‘studio’, Derek?,” I ask putting air quotes around studio. “Um, yeah. I got a lot done today,“he lied straight through his teeth. His perfect white teeth that seemed to blind people whenever he smiled. Fuck, Y/N focus.

“Oh really, like what?,” I challenged. I wanted to catch him in his dirty ass lie. “Um, I published a song, wrote some more lyrics, and here I am.”

“Really, Derek? Because you were gone since 8 tonight and currently it’s 2 in the morning. You’re trying to tell me that it took you 6 hours to write a couple songs and publish one? Do you think I’m stupid Derek?,” I ranted standing up on the stairs from getting angry.

“Okay, I’m gonna need you to chill because you’re raising your voice.” Was I raising my voice? I didn’t even notice.

I stepped down that stairs and made my way over to Derek, bringing his clothes towards my nose. Just to show him that I knew he was lying. I look up at him and I see he has a worried expression on his face.

“Huh, smells a little familiar don’t you think? The perfect mix of alcohol and oh what’s that? Weed?,” I say with anger and irritation laced in my voice. “So Derek, is the studio your final answer because I caught you in a damn lie and right now I’m very aggravated.”

He stays silent.“That’s what I thought. You know what Derek, I am so fucking tired of you always lying to me! I’m over it,” I say raising my voice. Yeah, I noticed this time.

“Woah, what do you mean always lying to you? When have I ever lied to you, Y/N?,” Derek asked raising his voice to same level as I did.

“Hmm,” I pretended to think. “How about the fact that you told me you were going to the studio when in reality you went to the club, you promised you’d stop smoking but look at where we are right now and let’s not forget - -.” He cut me off,“OK hold up, who said I smoked weed. You’re always assuming shit, and it’s getting on my fucking nerves,” he yelled at the top of his weed filled lungs. He can’t fool me.

“Oh, I’m assuming shit? Derek, your eyes are bloodshot red, you smell like fucking weed. I’m so done with your shit,” I say walking up the stairs. I get into our shared bedroom, grab my Adidas duffel bag and start stuffing my shit in there.

I jump up in fear when I feel snake their way around my waist. As soon as my brain proceses that it’s Derek, I immediately shake him off of me considering I was still pissed at him. “C'mon babe it was one blunt,” Derek whined. “So you did lie, you’re a fucking, ugh,” I grunted being too angry to finish my sentence.

“Come on, Y/N, we’ve been together for 2 fucking years and you want to leave just because I smoked a blunt tonight,” Derek protested. “It’s not even that Derek,” I say turning around. “It’s the fact that you promised me you’d stop smoking and you went behind my back and still did it. You probably even smoked this whole week, but got away with it because I fell asleep before you got back. So you know what, yes I am leaving,” I say ever so calmly and turning back around to finish packing my stuff.

I’m almost done packing when I am pulled from behind and spun around. I feel pain in my back when I am slammed against the wall with two hands on each side of my body.

I am confused as to what’s going on when I hear Derek whisper,“ I guess now I have to fuck you to remind you how good I am when I’m high.” I almost moan at his words. He moves his lips down to my neck and starts kissing it roughly. I can tell there going to be hickies there in the morning.

Derek continues his actions until I moan. He whispers in my ear again,“Bounce.” I jump up and wrap my legs around Derek’s waist.

Let’s just say we had a lot of fun that night. Maybe I’ll let Derek keep smoking weed.

A/N: Thanks you guys so much for reading. This was requested by the lovely lady: almoststupendousparadise. I love you guys and I’ll talk to y'all soon ✌️🤘👋
