don't listen to the song while thinking of them

dear teamiplier (and other homies).

i thought about y’all while i listening to a certain song in the car today, so i just wanted to write an open letter to remind you–

you are the one thing in life you can control.

you are inimitable, you are original

you are not falling behind or running late

you are not standing still, you are lying in wait

everyone faces an endless uphill climb

you got something to prove, you got nothing to lose

everyone’s pace is relentless, you waste no time, time

what is it like in your shoes?

in closing:

remember there’s a reason you’re alive, when so many have died–just be willing to wait for it. just be willing to wait for it.

I was listening to esny while scrolling my dash and the elounor coachella pics came up.... it's so strange but the song's feeling matched very well what i felt looking at that... seeing louis like that... i quote your anon "I don't know what esny is about but it sounds very beautiful and very sad" (feel free to ignore this if you're not comfortable with this whole Larry Drama Discourse, but those feelings hit me pretty hard and i just wanted to share them to someone)

Thank you.

I don’t think I’m going to be writing in detail about ESNY. I’m sorry. If my interpretation is what I think it is, it’s really very, very sad and private.

To summarize, it’s about the singer facing a situation whose outcome is pre-determined, and being helpless to do anything about it. I don’t think Larry is necessarily the subject. It’s about being young and helpless, being in situations where other people’s words are meaningless/ unreliable, and life seems like a curse. Prayers are… not a solution, just a way to get by. Just like songs are.

It’s about leaving the situation before the end: “Must desert you just before you go.” About a numb kind of waiting for the end: “Almost over.” About the way the situation still hasn’t ended: “And I’ve been praying ever since New York.”

Is New York a random choice? I don’t know. I don’t think so.

I have a feeling every song on the album is similar. Listening to the song for the first time is like reading someone’s diary; it’s too intimate. It reveals how Harry processes his pain into music. Right now I can’t write about it; I’m sorry. I just hope Harry feels the love he deserves.

Compare the chorus “Tell me something that I didn’t know” to the mirror chorus of the Eagles song, “Best of My Love,” to which ESNY is similar:

Oh, sweet darlin’
You get the best of my love
Oh, sweet darlin’
You get the best of my love
Every night and day,
You get the best of my love
Oh, sweet darlin’ you get the best of my love
Oh, sweet darlin’ you get the best of my love

Happy Holidays.

The Iron Hills For Me (solo)
The Iron Hills For Me (solo)

Here is the 12th of the Songs of Sansûkh performed as a solo (expect another ensemble version to appear because this song is so great I will look for any excuse to perform it twice)!  This is a earnest soldier’s song of home and hearth, sung as the Dwarrows of Erebor march to face battle under their king, Dáin Ironfoot of the Iron Hills.  This song can be found in chapter 34 of determamfidd’s heart wrenching epic masterpiece Sansûkh, which can be read here!

Lyrics by determamfidd.

Melody and Vocals by me.

Please keep in mind that this is an amateur recording of an amateur performance.

I wanna listen to this song on repeat at 4am sitting on the roof while smoking. The city lights are twinkling. The night breeze chills my skin. I don't know the song gives me such new york night vibes

YES!!!!! YES! YES !!!!

I wish I could visit again soon just so I could listen to all of Joji’s music there, the place where so many of them were probably made. I mean he lives there now so it’s not too unreasonable to think some of them were made there. Heck

okay but was she screwing the milkman?

I remember that eunhae (how romantic this is?) listen this song " How long will I love you?" for more than 3 hours... (I don't think they just listen like that, I mean, this song is fuckin romantic and you just can't lay with your lover while listen to this, you know what I mean?) But I can't remember if they say they saw the movie...? they did it? (I miss them so much that I just can remember this kind of facts TT TT what they did to my life? I want my life back!!)

How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you
And longer, if I can.

How long will I need you?
As long as the seasons need to
Follow their plan.

How long will I be with you?
As long as the sea is bound to
Wash upon the sand..

The lyrics describe perfectly their endless love ㅠㅠ

Nylon Korea Magazine:

Hae: “…We have a similar music taste, and spend a lot of time together so we effect each other with music we listen to. We also have a similar habbit of listening to a particular song we like over and over again. A few weeks ago I watched <Begin again> with Eunhyuk and got addicted to this song. This OST is a beutiful and an emotional song. Eunhyuk once played this song on for 3 hours so we both got to like the song. (The song is How long will I love you by Ellie Goulding)..”

Elton John talks Ed Sheeran with Rolling Stone Magazine.
  • Rolling Stone: A lot of people don't realize that you work with Ed Sheeran. What's your role in his career?
  • Elton John: I've been advising him, and own the company that manages him. He asks me for advice. For example, a couple of years ago, he told me that the record company wanted a follow up to +, but he was also offered a tour with Taylor Swift, 88 shows in America. He said to me. "What should I do?" I said to him, "It's a no-brainer. You do the 88 shows with Taylor Swift. She'll be on top of the bill. You'll be coming on when people are coming in. It's not your audience. It'll give you so much backbone, and you can't buy that experience. And you know Taylor. You like her. Do that — there's plenty of time for a second record."
  • "He's such a good musician that he will not be satisfied with just playing on his own. And on the new album, x, he didn't want to put "Sing" first. Pharrell has had so much success recently. I'm worried people are going to be burned out by him." I said, "Listen, it's a song that people don't expect from you. If you want to put out 'Don't' first, it's gonna take a while to get up the charts. If you put 'Sing' out first, it will go straight in, and it will be the biggest thing on radio you've had so far." Every record he put out before that, "The A Team" and "Lego House," they took a long time to get up the charts. I think that "The A Team" took a year, and they wouldn't put him on the Grammys. I said to them, "Listen, I'll do a duet with him on 'The A Team.'" That got him on the Grammys because that's what I do. I'm a manager. It was a vital move for him."
  • "But I just give him advice. I've been around for so long and I know the scene. I knew that "Sing" should be the first single, and of course, it worked. He emailed to say, "Thank you so much." He says thank you. He listens. I'm doing it to make sure his career goes the right way. I'm very good at that."
  • RS: It's amazing that he plays stadiums with just an acoustic guitar and no band. I've never seen that done before.
  • EJ: That's unique. I mean, I played Madison Square Garden on my own, but he did Wembley Stadium three nights, which was 85,000 people a night on his own. It's astonishing. It's very brave. But sooner or later, he's gonna have to get some other musicians. He's such a good musician that he will not be satisfied with just playing on his own. I tell him that it's great for a while, but then the novelty wears off. Playing with other musicians will give him a whole new twist, and I think he'll love that, but for the moment he's very happy doing what he does. But putting on my management hat, that has to change soon."

god, it's so humbling that people get pulled into the fandom through means other than 1d and STAY.. I mean, their love, it's so real and so powerful we get shippers who are not fans!!!! we actually get people who don't care about one direction and don't listen to the songs but can still appreciate harry and louis and cheer them on and get emotional when they're being beautiful boyfriends in love!!!! but non-1d-fans who are larry shippers: BUY THE ALBUNS!!! SUPPORT OURS SONS JOB!!!

Aw, they are multi-millionaires already, I think they’re okay.

I mean…I’m so whipped that I buy their albums, tour tickets, etc., but I think it’s amazing if people support their love even if they never spend a penny.

Although I DO hope that if they come out while 1D is still active that even people who are not fans of their music will show they support by buying tickets/albums/etc. I think it would be great if there was a noticeable bump in sales every time an artist comes out. If we can show that being openly non-straight is not a financial liability, that will help decrease the pressure within the industry to stay closeted.

Don't listen to Dodie's song Freckles and constellations and don't think about sterek while you do so.

All I can think about now is some kind of high school AU in which Derek is in love with Stiles’ moles and freckles. He just can’t stop thinking about them, how they look- how they might feel under his tongue- and one day he saddles up to Stiles all smooth because he’s got this, he’s cool, and leaning against Stiles’ locker- basketball obviously in hand- says, “you’re making an astronomer out of me”.

Stiles, obviously used to people teasing him about his moles, especially in the locker rooms, thinks Derek is being a dick and promptly tells him to fuck off. (Who even compares moles to stars anyway? Assholes, that’s who apparently. It’s typical Stiles had to go and have a major crush on Derek. Could the universe not just let him live in ignorance for once that someone might like him back?)

Cue Derek writing this song and posting it to youtube in the hopes Stiles will finally stop smelling miserable when he sees him at school. Maybe, just maybe, he’ll even let Derek…*gasp* hold his hand??!?

(Spoiler: Stiles does a lot more than let Derek hold his hand. He lets Derek buy him curly fries. Yes he does, folks. *insert knowing wink here* I have no idea how to make a sexy euphemism out of curly fries so just roll with it guys!)

I know this is so random but I was just thinking this while listening to Girls Aloud. Do you like them? I don't think I have heard you or Zoe mention or sing a song by them. They are my favorite! Do you like Cheryl as well? I would die to see her live. Anyway, just curious. I love you. Tell Matt and Baby Glitter "Hello!" for me xoxoxo

When their first single came out I learnt every word and dance move and me and my little school friend performed it for her Mum and sister. Oh yeah. I knew how to live. x
