don't even talk to me about this scene

Kurt, what if it’s only a matter of time before I become like that?

  • Namjoon: *gathers the boys in his studio and starts to play Mozart*
  • Yoongi: *groans* Why are we listening to this old guy?
  • Namjoon: hush child, this man is not to be joked about. He's a literal genius, the Shakespeare of music. You know, by the age of 6 he was already writing his own compositions? And he wrote his first opera at the age of 14? He's done so many things for music that I think we should celebrate him.
  • Taehyung: *murmuring* there he goes again, talking about the things dead people have done
  • Jin: Well I for one know what Mozart's doing right now.
  • Jin: He's de-composing
  • Jin: *bursts into his windshield wiper laugh*
  • Bangtan:
  • Bangtan:
  • Namjoon: it's like you guys don't even appreciate me
  • Jimin: *lying on the floor laughing so hard he's crying*

I don’t even know what I love more: Tom’s little jump and his “this time he got me” face or Luca scaring him while he was all seriously talking about war. But I love them both so much

I don't know if its because I'm biased or not, but I thought Jon and Dany holding hands was the most romantic moment in Game of Thrones so far. Many people talk about the sex scenes and nudity in the show but I never really found them sexy or romantic, just gratuitous. That's why I'm even more excited for a #EpicBoatSex because its going to be a real love scene.

I agree with you 100%. We got some romantic moments with Jon and Ygritte. Robb and Talisa. Even Ned and Cat. But what happened with Jon and Dany after the wight hunt was to me by far the most romantic thing we’ve seen so far. There were no ulterior motives, nothing gratuitous just to be hot or edgy for the audience, just pure sweet and uncomplicated affection and vulnerability. I loved it. It was everything I wanted from the scene and more.

And like you, it cranks up my hype for boatsex way past 11 because if that scene is any indication, the love between Jon and Dany is so intense that basically ANY interaction between them is going to absolutely destroy me haha.

Don't ruin my favorite things by liking them!

Is it weird that I don’t want to recommend Riverdale to people in my personal life? I know a lot of people watch it anyway, but I’d just like for it to just be mine, you know?

For example, this girl that I despise (she’s a total bitch to me) was talking about how cute Betty and Jughead were in an episode, and I almost blew up. Like, bitch, this is MY SHIP! Have you even overanalyzed every breath Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones take in every scene of every episode?! No? Then get the hell out of my face!

Rant over.

Seems to be a lot of mixed reactions about the scene, I'm not sure I even want to see it! But seems most neutrals found it very palatable, so I don't know!

I dunno what to tell you, Anon, all I can say is watch it for yourself, decide for yourself. But if its my perspective you want, here’s a wee bit of it. The scene in 3x04’s - for me - far longer, far more graphic than it needed to be IMO.

Claire and Jamie in s2:

2x04 - 1min 48secs (including the pillow talk after - 2mins 35secs)

2x13 - 30secs.

So the ENTIRETY of season 2 had a rough total of actual sex shown between the main couple (that didn’t including the conception of either of their children) is a grand total of about 3mins.

Jamie and Geneva:

3x04 - 7mins (from the time he walks in to the time they cut to the next scene).

So, go for it, don’t go for it, that’s your decision. But (among many, many other objections and reasons I have that I just don’t feel like getting into right now) for a show that prided itself on not doing gratuitous sex, “they aren’t the royal couple” after all, I’m surprised after years of having those lines force fed to us as justification and excuses for the lack of between the two characters most of us watch this show for, they pull this - and somehow its forgiven and applauded by some. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Whatever, to each their own. But I found it all beyond insulting to the extreme (for far more reasons than I’ve stated) and we all have a right to feel as we do. Will I be watching this ep again? Hard fucking No.

I’m not here to tell you who to listen to, anon. I’m not saying anyone else’s opinion is wrong. I’m just saying decide for yourself.

But don’t let anyone make you feel like your feelings about it are invalid or irrational, whatever they are.

p.s. This reunion and subsequent eps had best set my laptop legit on GD fire…

How do you view the marriage between Robb Stark and Jeyne Westerling? I used to see it as a good one based on genuine feelings, but then this scene struck me where Jeyne told Catelyn: "Now he is sitting and looking at maps. I asked him what he was looking for, but he never answered. I don't think he ever heard me. ". Jeyne is clueless about Robb and Robb is completely ignoring her, even though he surely needs someone to talk to.

Well, they’re both very young, and the relationship is still pretty new to them. Rough patches are to be expected. I’d’ve been more surprised if these two hastily-married teenagers didn’t have conflict of some description. How they dealt with that conflict would have told us an awful lot. Unfortunately, Red Wedding.

That quote from Jeyne is in the context of her seeking advice from Catelyn about how to handle the situation.

“I want to be a good wife to him, I do, but I don’t know how to help. To cheer him, or comfort him. I don’t know what he needs.”

- Catelyn III, ASoS

She saw her husband in emotional pain and a deficit in her understanding, and sought to remedy both. Plus there’s what we see of Jeyne in AFFC. She cares.

On Robb’s part, he does enjoy Jeyne’s company.

If [Robb] was more comfortable with his young queen, she could scarcely blame him. Jeyne makes him smile, and I have nothing to share with him but grief.

- Catelyn IV, ASoS

But he shuts her out of politics hard. Not only is there the incident you mention, but there are others.

Robb’s captains and lords bannermen stood about the hall, some mailed and armed, others in various states of dishevelment and undress. Ser Raynald and his uncle Ser Rolph were among them, but Robb had seen fit to spare his queen this ugliness.

- Catelyn III, ASoS

Robb kissed his wife gently, promised to see her in their chambers, and went off with his lady mother. His steps led them towards the godswood. “Lothar seemed amiable, that’s a hopeful sign. We need the Freys.”

- Catelyn IV, ASoS

Catelyn V starts with that tension from Robb’s side of the relationship: his feelings for Jeyne do not match up well with his political expectations for Jeyne. (Jeyne…does not know much about optics. Nobody’s taught her.)

Robb was touched by [Jeyne galloping an hour to catch up with the army], but abashed as well. The day was damp and grey, a drizzle had begun to fall, and the last thing he wanted was to call a halt to his march so he could console a tearful young wife in front of half his army. He speaks to her gently, [Catelyn] thought as she watched them together, but there is anger underneath.

- Catelyn V, ASoS

This tension is left unresolved, on account of Robb’s death. We may learn more, especially if the prologue to TWoW is indeed a perspective on the Westerling party being attacked by Lady Stoneheart’s Brotherhood Without Banners. Unfortunately, any resolution is likely to be violent and tragic, if that’s the case. Will Zombie Catelyn interpret Jeyne’s political failings as a plot to bring Robb down? Seems likely to me.

The thought of Betty talking to kevin about the I love you's that she and jughead exchanged makes me so fricken happy like you don't even know . Oh my god I'm so ready for that scene .

ME TOO! i have high hopes that it’s going to be cute and amusing. it’s also going to be an incredible parallel to 1x01 when her and kevin are talking about archie and betty isn’t sure if he likes her back and kevin tells her boys need to be told what they want… in 2x01, she’s going to be able to tell him that jughead loves her and was the one to say it first

You know people may say that snowbarry is dead, that is never going to happen, that is crazy all that…. I’m still gonna ship it.

The writers can make Caitlin a villain and Killer Frost forever and all that… And I’m still gonna ship it.

They can kill one of them, or both of them… I’m still gonna ship it.

They can kill me and I will be shipping this so freaking much that I will go to Valhalla in my Snowbarry Stan Ship and I will be talking in heaven or hell about those two adorable dorks.

So this girl at my school was going on and on about how accepting she was of "the gays" and she was only talking about mlm.... When I asked her, "Oh, so you're cool with lesbians?" She was all, "Ew, no, that's gross, I don't get it." And then she goes on to draw mlm in s*x scenes and even young gay boys at our school were not spared... I don't know if I'm just sensitive or something, but it was really gross, and it seemed to me like she was just being a crazy fetishist... -Butch Sapphic

aww how lesbophobic of her!

Do you mind me asking what that Netflix show you were talking about is called ?? If you don't want to say it that's okay !!

It’s rated 26% on rotten tomatoes. That rating is well-deserved, even if you take out all the therapy-related inaccuracies.

Some highlights from reviews of the show:

“Gypsy” is filled with scenes of overwritten dialogue directed with blatant self-importance. If I was the show’s therapist, I’d suggest it stop taking itself so damn seriously. [Source]

It is bonkers to watch [esteemed actors and directors] waste their skills pretending that “sometimes people aren’t exactly what they seem” is a shocking and new idea. [Source]

It’s all fun and games until you desperately start hoping that your protagonist loses her malpractice suit. [Source]

It’s also directed by the same person who directed “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

[[Image description - Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec says emotionlessly, “This is my hell.”]]

I need help finding the one panel where Selina is over a body (?) and batman keeps saying her name and she's like "you don't understand, Dick, he was like this when I got here" and Bruce is like, "Selina it's me." bc that scene alone describes all three characters without dick ever even being there.

I think this is the scene you are talking about. It’s from Batman: Streets of Gotham, issue # 17 (January 2011). It’s an awesome scene with a great BatCat kiss as well.

no you know what i am so angry at people slating chris and saying he can’t act, you might not like the character he plays on SG, but you have no right to say anything when you haven’t seen him nail characters like kai parker, jake riley and brandon north, do not come at me and say this man isn’t an exceptional talent when you all admit you don’t even watch his scenes, he is incredible and passionate about what he does, and when he gets the right work is nothing short of spectacular, so brilliant that sometimes i even forget all of the previously mentioned characters and others are played by the same man, so don’t even bother coming at me

  • NEGAN: honey
  • LUCILLE: what
  • NEGAN: where's my bat
  • LUCILLE: what
  • LUCILLE: i uh put it away..
  • NEGAN: where
  • LUCILLE: why do u need to know
  • NEGAN: i need it
  • LUCILLE: uh uh don't u think about running off and doing no daring-do. we've been planning this dinner for TWO MONTHS
  • LUCILLE: my evening is in danger

Since I've heard you talk about fangirls fetishizing Malec quite a bit, I thought you'd be the one I should come to. In my story, there will probably be at least one sex scene between Malec at some point. Can I, as a mostly cis, and bisexual fan(girl) even write about gay couples like that without fetishizing them? And if I can, how would you suggest I'd go about that? I don't wanna write anything possibly harmful to LGBT people by writing Malec expressing their feelings through sex. Thank you!

thank you for sending me this message, i appreciate this. as i’ve said before there’s nothing wrong with wlw writing mlm

i have answered something similar to this here and i think would cover everything you’re asking

i also have a writing mlm tag which may help

besides perpetuating harmful things i would just look at how you’re writing them, remember you’re writing two people being intimate with each other and don’t turn them into objects for the sexual gratification of readers

everything else is touched on in my other posts

when all you wanted was two characters to talk and be friends, but the show won’t let them even interact anymore because it might be too gay
