doing that thing with her face all the time

Most of us guessed that Navy would end up betraying everyone by the end of the episode.

I don’t think most of us expected that having her go from this:

to this:

would be really good for Lapis’ mental health.

And despite certain people’s fears about certain story boarders… this was actually very much in character for her. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that Lapis has always been cynical, even in her pre mirror days. After she escaped she went from cynical to detached and apathetic. Not an unexpected defense mechanism for someone who was trapped in an inanimate object for 6,000 years. But she has made progress. She trusts Steven and Peridot. Enough not only to express her concerns, but to essentially make a confession.

Life on Earth is really confusing. It took me a long time to get use to it. I’m still getting use to it.

Given everything that’s happened to her on Earth, it’s only natural that she’s having a hard time adjusting. But she’s just confessed her biggest insecurity: she knows she’s having a hard time dealing with what she’s been through, while having to get use to to living a normal life on the planet where her greatest traumas happened. Before the rebellion she would have done her job and left for the next planet, Earth having been a distant memory by this time. But now she can never leave. Earth has to become home.

She wants to move on, but feels guilty about how difficult actually doing that is.

So here comes this I-Insta-Love-All-Things-Earth ruby, who seems freakishly well adjusted from the moment she crashes face first into the planet. Never mind that she was lied to not once, but twice, by the crystal gems. Never mind that she was blasted out into space and abandoned while they stole her ship. All is instantly forgiven and she just wants to be a part of their happy family.

Worse yet? The people Lapis cares most about just buy it. They go right along with it as though Navy’s behavior is perfectly normal. It took time for Lapis to even begin to be okay with the idea of living in Earth and forgiving the crystal gems- she’s still working on it, and it’s painful. She’s worked so hard for every inch of progress she’s made, and here’s someone who’s seemingly able to move on the same day they got to Earth.

I just don’t get it. Why is it so easy for her when it was so hard for me?

So when the perfectly well adjusted Navy turned out to be a gleeful sociopath  gleefully hell bent on revenge, everything fell into place.

Navy’s sudden but inevitable betrayal was the best thing to happen for Lapis’ mental health to date.

So what’s the take away from this? 1) People react differently to trauma. 2) Just because someone seems well adjusted doesn’t mean they are. 3) It’s okay to take a long time to heal from your traumas. It’s okay for it to be a constant work in progress. It’s okay not to be okay.

And at the end of the day, that realization can almost feel like happiness.

I think the most beautiful thing about Diana is that she doesn’t fight the patriarchy.  She just flat out doesn’t acknowledge that it exist.  A room where women aren’t allowed?  Gender rules about sleeping with someone? Bruce grabbing her arm in a power play?  Diana’s all just, you’re doing what now? She’s a Princess and a Goddess, so way more powerful than you on any kind of scale.  She’s just gonna lol in your face any time the patriarchy comes up because she’s the most powerful person in the room at any given time, so she doesn’t have time for men to mess around pretending they have a say in anything she does.

i remember the first time i saw a trailer for Split in the movie theaters. i was with family and the theater was full and i’d been mildly enjoying the trailers and perked up a bit when the tell-tale ominous music of a horror movie trailer started, because i love good thrillers.

except then it was frame after frame after frame of a person with dissociative identity disorder being portrayed as everyone’s boogey man, the shrieks of the little girl protagonists as he appeared wearing different clothes and a different voice, people in the theater jumping and giggling every time they showed the man doing something horrific. and i felt frozen in my seat.

my sister leaned over to me when it was finished and said “i want to see that” with a look on her face like it was the greatest trailer she’d ever seen.

like it wasn’t a punch to my gut everytime i heard someone whisper “psycho” or “crazy” and other terrible things. like in that moment i didn’t feel like running away from all these people, like i didn’t feel unsafe and filthy. because these people getting their thrills from a demonizing potrayal of a mental illness.

and the thing is, it matters.

because if i bring it up people will say “oh but it’s not really mental illness, like depression or something. he was just fucking crazy which is totally scary haha”. yeah well, not haha. not haha because DID is a real mental illness but that’s not what it looks like. people with DID aren’t murderers or dangerous. but now, because movies like Split are all people have seen of illnesses like DID, that’s their frame of reference.

the media does it with DID, with schizophrenia, with every single personality disorder, with bipolar, with everything else that is “scary”. raising awareness for depression and anxiety is important, they’re valid and serious illnesses. but hardly anyone tries to protect people with “scary” disorders. this halloween when costumes of the main character crop up, people will giggle and buy it because it’s so creepy and cool.

i’m reminded that, although i don’t have DID, much of my mental illness is defined by symptoms that are used in other horror movies. that people who have “scary” disorders are the entertainment in everyone else’s world. and for people who do have DID, that movie is absolutely devastating.

so if you buy a ticket to see Split, please know that’s it’s not harmless entertainment or a good thrill. it’s fucking ableism and you’re being ableist if you go see it.

(please reblog, neurotypical or not)

Welp. We went to see Wonder Woman. I cried during the sad parts and some of the other parts. They were the same kind of tears I had on and off through Ghostbusters. Movies with strong women who are fully realized people who are allowed to be sexual but are not sexualized and can also kick ass just make me cry randomly. Though TBH I also cry in LotR when anyone picks up their sword and runs into battle screaming the name of their home. I didn’t even realize how ravenous I was for a female version of that.

Being in love with your best friend isn’t easy. It feels taboo, like it’s wrong, and unhealthy. You’ll lay awake at ungodly hours of the night, wondering “How did this happen?” You’ll replay every moment of every waking minute you spent with them, wondering how in the world you ended up lying on your floor with an empty bowl of ramen beside your head and imagining what it would feel like to kiss them. You’ll catch yourself admiring the tiniest insignificant things about them, and every detail of their stupidly cute face, and every indent and curve and freckle on their body, and let me tell you, it sucks. Falling in love with your best friend isn’t easy, especially when your best friend is Jughead Jones.

Rhys looks haunted.

“Who’s going to tell them?”

He gets nothing but avoided eye contact and silent sips of coffee in return.

“I am completely serious. Someone has to say something and it really shouldn’t be me.”

He had thought that all nine of them of them taking a weekend together in the cabin would be fun–and it had been, until he’d been kept up very late by the half-muffled sounds coming from Elain and Lucien’s room. Not of sex, per say; the cabin provides what soundproofing it can, and it should be enough for all the couples to enjoy themselves without bothering each other, but Elain and Lucien had been doing something… loud. Repeatedly.

Cassian is grinning like a maniac, amused beyond all reason. “Okay, I know Rhys is uncomfortable because he’s never done anything that actually qualifies as kinky, but does anyone else think this is hilarious?”

“I object to that profiling of my sex life, Cassian.”

“You’ve never done anything weirder with Feyre than a blindfold,” Cassian says, eyebrows raised, “I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, I’m just saying.”

“A blindfold is very kinky,” Rhys asserts, affronted. Mor snorts and he ignores it, focused on Cassian. “What have you two done that’s so much more exciting?”

Nesta, sitting straight as a queen, speaks before Cassian can. “If you answer that question in front of all our friends, Cas, you will never get to do any of those things ever again.”

“We’re off topic,” Feyre announces, setting down her mug of tea decisively. “The question at hand here is who is going to tell Elain and Lucien that spanking is off-limits during their time here.” Silence. She shrugs. “I think it should be Nesta.”

“I’ll do it if you want, but it won’t go well,” Nesta replies flatly. “I have a hard time not slapping the smirk off Lucien’s face on a good day.”

Cassian brandishes a spoonful of oatmeal. “Well, apparently he’s into that, so–”

“Why not Cassian?” Rhys says pointedly, “Since, as he tells us, he’s so knowledgeable about the whole area.”

“That would mortify Elain,” Feyre says, keeping them firmly on track. “It should probably be one of the girls.” Amren, in the corner, lowers her mug of blood to look less than enthused. “It should be Mor or I,” Feyre amends.

Mor gives an casual little shrug. “The noise didn’t bother me, to be honest.”

Rhys frowns in disbelief. “Surely you heard it.”

“We did.”

She does not elaborate, and Rhys suddenly finds it suspicious how quiet Azriel’s been, and how he’s not making eye contact. Cassian seems to have the same thought as he glances between the two of them.

“Mother’s tits,” Cassian says, gaping. “You guys got off on it, didn’t you?”

They don’t respond, but Mor reddens incriminatingly. Cassian’s eyes go wide and he throws his head back in a howl of laugher, over Nesta’s protestations.

Amren is surveying all of them with disdain. “I have been present for some truly insipid conversations between the lot of you but I must say, this one is exceptionally awful.”

“Now THAT’S what I mean by kinky, Rhys” Cassian proclaims, wiping tears from his eyes. “Fucking to the sounds of another couple’s pain play. Cauldron. I’m so proud.”

Rhys looks long-suffering as he turns to Feyre, takes her hand, and kisses it sweetly. “I’m so sorry, darling,” he intones dramatically. “I’ve exposed you to a nest of perverts.”

“Who’s a pervert?” Elain asks with a giggle, choosing this moment to sweep into the kitchen, bright-eyed and with a sated-looking Lucien in her wake. “Are we talking about Cassian again?”

But the whole room has gone silent. Elain falters, looking from one awkward face to the next. “What’s wrong?”

When no one answers, it’s Amren who gets up and says baldly to the two of them, “Everyone from here to Velaris could hear whatever it was you were doing last night. It made these fools uncomfortable, largely. Do with that information what you will.” In the shocked silence following, she puts her empty mug in the sink, unhurried, and heads for the door. “I’m going for a walk far away from this nonsense. If anyone needs me, you are encouraged to reconsider.”

The door slams shut behind her.

“Oh,” Elain says faintly.

“I won the best actress award. God it feels so weird saying it. Feels great. It means a lot to me because it’s just one of those rare professional moments that you rarely get in life. And you feel like totally connected to something, and they don’t come along that often. And to be awarded for that on top of everything else is just awesome. There's this one thing that no one's talking about, though

Even if it was clear in his face how happy Jug was when she answered his feelings, it’s also important for us to take a look at Betty’s side of this whole confession.

She was already aware of her own feelings for him, and after everything that happened in episodes 11 and 12, she was probably feeling really insecure, not knowing how things would be in between them, and not knowing if his feelings for her were destroyed by that “betrayal”.

Betty was normally feeling insecure, and when he was transferred, she really thought everything was gonna change. Since they’d not be together all the time anymore and since he seemed to be doing well without them, it’s pretty normal to think she was scared to lose the love of her life.

But then, things changed…

When she was about to start her speech, he came in to support her as he always does, and that was the first moment in that episode that she thought that, maybe, she was exaggerating and all. At that moment, when their eyes met and she realized that he was always gonna be there for her, Betty knew that whatever happened, they would face it together.

And then, there was the love confession.

When those words left his lips, not only once, but twice, Betty knew for sure that nothing would be able to stay in between them and their love. She was truly happy and secure of whatever the future could prepare for them, for she knew that they are so much stronger than anything.

Their love can overcome anything.

Their love is strong, pure, healthy, real and definitely the best example of love in the whole TV.

Bughead is life. Bughead is love.

Bughead is Riverdale.

I wanted to tell her everything. I wanted to tell her how she made my heart beat so loud like how thunder sounds when it’s storming. I wanted to tell her how she made me feel warm like how the sun feels on your face after a long winter. How she made my life fill with excitement and happiness as if I’ve seen colors for the first time. How her smile is captivating like the bright moon on a starry night. How her laugh is my favorite song and every time I hear it I want to dance with her. I wanted to tell her all these things before it was too late.

But I was too late.

Leave A Message: Betty Cooper x Jughead Jones

Summary: AU, After a night of heavy drinking, Betty Cooper realizes she’s left a series of revealing messages on her crush and roommate, Jughead Jones’s phone.

Words: 1,600

Warnings: Mentions of drinking, swearing, sexual dialogue but mostly embarrassing fluff.

A/N: I’ve edited this myself so I apologize for errors.

Betty Cooper’s head was pounding. She had made the mistake of going out with her roommates Cheryl Blossom and Veronica Lodge to celebrate the end of finals. Now she was sitting at their kitchen island cradling a cup of coffee, trying to figure out if IHOP delivered.

“Good Morning!” Cheryl sang as she skipped into the kitchen and poured herself a cup of coffee. Her luscious red was piled up on top of her head and her skin was glowing. She looked like an angel not someone who had partied hard the night before. “How are you?” She asked Betty.

“I’m so hungover” Betty groaned resting her head on her arms. “I’ve never been this hungover.”

“Yeah, you really shouldn’t have done all those shots of Liquid Cocaine.” Cheryl chuckled and began taking out a few frying pans. “You want some bacon and eggs?” She asked.

“I do!” Veronica answered, her silk black robe trailing behind her matching her beautiful black hair. She walked up to Cheryl and gave her a soft kiss. Cheryl and Veronica had been dating since before they had left Riverdale and their relationship was goals.

“How are you guys not hungover?” Betty asked.

“We didn’t do three shots of tequila and then perform a Coyote Ugly style dance on the bar. You drank so much you should be dead.” Veronica informed.

“I wish I was dead.” Betty said sliding off her stool and laid on the floor. “The tile is so cold. I love the tile.”

“You’ve seen better days, Cooper.” Jughead Jones exited his bedroom from the other side of the loft and sat in the stool Betty just occupied. Jughead was Betty’s fourth and final roommate and she had developed a deep crush on him since the four of  them had moved from Massachusetts to California for school.

Jughead had blossomed in the sunshine state. He had taken up surfing and gotten a tan, transforming himself into a ripped golden god. Whatever girls didn’t like about his moodiness in Riverdale, they loved here. Betty hated that she didn’t make a move sooner and now that he was bedding Californian goddesses, she knew she didn’t stand a chance.

“Oh god.” She muttered rolling onto her back. She was so dehydrated she could hear herself blinking. She focused on Jughead messy mop of black hair when he appeared above her.

“Up we go.” He said lifting her into the sitting position. “Take these,” he dropped two extra strength Advil in her palm. “And drink the entire glass.” He instructed.

She did as she was told and steadied herself against him when she stood up. “I need to go back to sleep.”

“Yes, you do.” Jughead agreed walking her back to her room. “Do you need to use the washroom?” He asked.

“I’m not a child, Jug.” Betty snapped.

“Oh, I’m sorry, were you not just rolling around on the floor moaning?” He cocked an eyebrow and helped her into bed. She got underneath the covers and he tucked her in. “Get more rest, you’re gonna need it.” He winked and left her room, closing her door.

Her brow furrowed at her choice of words but she was too tired to give it much more thought than that.

She woke up at 3 in the afternoon feeling much better. Still hungover but manageable. She stumbled out into the living room and found Jughead reading a book. “There she is!” He exclaimed. “I got more Advil out and grabbed some water. There is some left over Thai from lunch in he fridge if you are hungry.”

Betty grabbed the Advil, headed over to the kitchen and began heating up her food. Once the Thai was nice and hot she made way back over to the couch.

“Are you feeling better?” He asked not looking up from his book.

“Mmmm” She answered with a mouth full of food.

“Do you remember anything from last night?” He questioned.

She shook her head. “Not really.”

“So you don’t remember dancing on the bar?” He inquired.

She shook her head.

“You don’t remember leading the whole bar in a rendition of ‘Come On Eileen’?”

“How do you know this? You weren’t even there”

“Cheryl was sending me videos.” He paused. “Do you remember making a phone call?”

“It’s 2018, Juggie, no one makes phone calls anymore.” She rolled her eyes and took a gulp of her water.

“You sure about that?” He asked again.

“I haven’t spoken on a phone in like two years.”

Jughead took out his cell, began scrolling and finally pushed a button. He held it up so they could both hear it.

“Jughead, mother fucking, Jones.” Betty’s gravelly drunken voice rasped out of the phone.

Her eyes widened and she started choking on her food.

“You fucking idiot with your stupid hat and your stupid attitude and your stupid face like you don’t know how amazing you are. Well, I guess you kinda do now with that revolving bevy of girls in our apartment all the time. And what is wrong with me huh? I’m hot, I’ve had six guys hit on me tonight. Six!”

She heard herself yell through the phone and she buried her head in her arms. “No, no, no.” She repeated over and over again.

“I’m smart too and my personality is okay, so what’s your problem Jughead, huh? I’ve been told that my vagina is like, the actual best. Like, what do I need to do? I guess there is a possibility that you aren’t interested in me but I’m the tits so why wouldn’t you be.” She paused. “Another thing, you actual piece of shit-” She was cut off and he lowered the phone.

“Please tell me I didn’t call you back.” She asked, looking at him through her fingers.

He was smirking and she wanted to smack him. “That was the first of fifteen messages. My favorite was how you told me that you obsess over how big my penis is but it’s probably just normal size and that you should stop worrying about it because this isn’t a romance novel.” He chuckled.

She made a whiny, crying sound, her face burning hot.

He didn’t say anything like she expected. She expected him to tease her, she expected him to tell her that they were friends but their relationship wouldn’t be anything more than that but he didn’t. She felt his weight on the couch beside her. “Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked.

“Would it made a difference if I did?”

“Uh, yeah, kind of a big difference, do you know how you appear to others? Do you know how intimidating you are?” His voice was soft and sincere.

“What are you talking about?” She snapped, rubbing her temples.

“You’re beautiful, smart and funny. You make everything seem so effortless, you should date an architect or something.”

“Why is everyone so obsessed with architects?” She moaned, falling back into the cushions of the sofa.

Jughead sighed. “Betty, did you ever think about just asking me out?”

She threw him some serious side eye. “Oh yeah Jug, I’ll just walk up to you and be like, ‘Hey, I know we’ve known each other forever and I’ve ignored you for most of it but now that you’re all hot and dating models and shit, you wanna go out on a date?’” She scoffed.

“Okay.” He replied.

“What?” She sat up quickly, wincing when he head throbbed.

“I’ll go out with you.”

“Why? You date hipster girls who wear glasses they don’t need and are way too big for their face. You date girls who always look good in a romper, always have perfect Coachella hair and eat avocado toast everyday. I go days without showering, I’ve slept in the library more than once, I’ve dropped a McDonalds hamburger on the ground and still ate it because I had spent my last dollar on it and it was all I could eat for 17 hours until I got paid. Last night I threw up in my hamper-”

Jughead cut her off with a kiss. Betty was taken aback by the sudden gesture and it took her body a moment to relax and really accept what was happening. Betty had fantasized about this moment every night for months. What he would smell like, what he was taste like, how he would feel. He tasted like the cinnamon tic tacs he was always eating, spicy and sweet. He smelled like clean laundry, the sea and coconuts from using the girls shampoo all the time. Betty ran her hands through his hair bringing him closer to her. His body was hard and muscular and he pushed it against her, his skin warm and tan and so different from what she expected.

He parted from her, a smile on his face. “I’ve wanted to do that for a long time.”

“Liar.” Betty whispered, her eyes still closed.

“Betty, I’ve had a thing for your since the ninth grade.” He admitted, kissing her again.

“Do you want to take this into the bedroom?” She cooed running her hands over his chest.

“No, Bets.”

Her head jerked back. “What? Why? You take all these girls to bed and not me?”

“Betty, you aren’t all girls, you’re the girl.” He smiled and kissed her again.

She smiled back. “Can you please, for the love of god, delete all the messages I left you.”

“Um, absolutely not, this shit belongs in the MOMA.” He took out his phone. “Prepare yourself for message number two.”

SU Theory: The Use Of Feeling Blue? - Their Use *IS*Feeling Blue!!

I’m going to start off by saying this is going to sound absolutely insane, but please please hear me out until the end.

That Will Be All starts things off by revealing Blue Diamond, immediately shown crying over the loss of Pink Diamond.

Now that is one stark contrast from what we originally saw of her back in The Answer

She was hardened then, willing to shatter a gem, even if that gem saved the life of a valued member of her court. Imagine disregarding a selfless act like that? That is ice cold.

But now, she’s broken. Thousands of years later, we learn, after having a taste of her own medicine, that all she does is spend time going back and forth between the Earth and the Zoo.

She abandons her post so much that Yellow had to come check on the zoo to catch her there again, and starts to sing a song to try to make her feel better.

It’s pretty clear that Blue is content mourning Pink forever, even willing to abandon her position as leader to do it. That’s some serious regret.

And when Yellow suggests forgetting about Pink?

Nah. That’s not happening. It’s pretty clear Blue is having serious trouble letting go of the past. She seems to desperately want a do-over.

We’ve seen this character dynamic before.

I suspect the color parallels between Greg/Pearl and Yellow/Blue Diamond in Mr. Greg and this episode are foreshadowing.

Greg is Yellow, and Pearl is Blue. Pearl was unable to let go of the past, unable to get over losing Rose. Blue Diamond can’t accept having lost Pink. Even the names of their lost loved ones is the same name in different languages, it can’t get much more in your face than that really. They even fucking color coded it for us.

Greg helped Pearl move on after having been considered an enemy by Pearl for ages. Yellow Diamond is shown consistently trying to help Blue, doing anything in her power to do so, despite Blue’s clear disdain of Yellow’s efforts.

But that’s where the similarities end, after that we end up with some interesting contrasts:

In Mr Greg, Steven was singing them a song that reminded them they’re all family, and how they needed someone who knew what they’re going through.

But in That Will Be All?

There’s empathy in the song, sure, Yellow understands Blue’s pain, but

She’s lying to herself. She hasn’t moved on at all. Her repeating of the question ”What’s the use of feeling?” at the end implies she curses her own emotions for being so hard to repress. That’s why she wants to destroy the planet and forget about Pink altogether. They’re not talking anything out, Yellow is trying to push Blue along. Push herself along. She grasps the railing turning away from Blue Diamond as though in shame, here she was claiming to be above it all yet the moment she lets herself remember just a bit, she deteriorates. As though it’s the first time she’s allowing herself to feel anything about Pink’s death in thousands of years.

So the difference is, Steven’s song was about getting closure, while Yellow’s is more about repressing and damning the emotions that she can’t resolve. She was just projecting onto Blue.

That’s not all though.

Greg was able to heal part of the pain of losing Rose by raising Steven, by telling him about his mom, by re-living his memories of his dead wifu with his son. What i mean is, having his son there to share in the pain of missing Rose helped a lot. Helps both of them a lot.

And as for Pearl, whenever she needed to, she could bring up a hologram of Rose and literally re-live her PTSD memories ad nauseum to get them all out of her system. In a way, she did get her do-over. She, at the very least, got to work out how to say goodbye, so that by the time she and Greg squashed the beef, she was ready and could finally move on to Mystery Girl.

But with the Diamonds? it’s a much more tragic picture. Yellow is in denial and wants to rush through/repress her pain and destroy the things that remind her of her loss. She refuses to face it. Blue on the other hand just can’t stop facing it. Not until she gets some sort of closure like Pearl. But that’s impossible, right?

I thought so too, until I heard this line;

WHAT!?

Hold the fuck up. Employ????? Blue wants to employ the Rose Quartz line?

ALL OF THEM!??

Why?!?  Welp, hold on to your butts;

Yellow Diamond sings two pertinent verses:

“Why would you want to employ her
Subjects that destroyed her?
Why keep up her silly
Zoo? Oh, tell me
What’s the use of feeling, Blue?“

and

“An army has a use
They can go and fight a war
A Sapphire has a use
She can tell you what it’s for
An Agate terrifies
A Lapis terraforms“

Yellow is juxtaposing the use of the Rose Quartz gems, as well as other gems in their society, with the use of emotions. What has Steven Universe been teaching us this whole time about emotions? What can they help you do?

Heal.

What else have we seen that heals things?

Tears.

Blue claims she wants to go to Earth to preserve specimens.

But what if she’s looking for her do-over instead? What if her regret and depression are so deep, they’ve driven her to want to go down to Earth to find Pink’s shards and have the Rose Quartz line, the entire line, cry on them?

BONUS:

Whatever happens, the Rose Quartz line’s healing tears can be used to fix other huge, previously unsolvable problems:

Punny Hobkins

We’re playing a campaign where everyone is some sort of fae creature. We have a nymph shadow sorceress, a jaebrin mystic/bard, a sidhe samurai, a redcap barbarian/monk/mystic, a pugwampi artificer and a hobkin illusionist.

We’ve just received rewards for winning a tournament and becoming the champions of the fae realm. The Nymph and pugwampi both have spent considerable time in the Shadowfell in the past, it being the source of the Nymph’s sorcery.

Nymph: We’ve just won the tournament and become champions. I say we take some vacation time! Let’s all go to the Shadowfell!

Redcap: What’s the Shadowfell?

DM: you all know that the Shadowfell is the plane on the other side of the material plane from your home plane. It’s where all the things of evil and death come from.

Sidhe: Yeah, no that sounds awful.

Nymph: It’s rather lovely this time of year.

Hobkin: Wait, (Nymph), where did you want to go?

Nymph: The Shadowfell!

Hobkin: Who tripped it?

Nymph slowly drops her face into her hands while the rest of the table laughs.

Hobkin: Oh I meant that out of character

DM: No, no, because it made (Nymph) do that *points at still facepalming nymph* that was canon.

Emma’s response in the sneak peek when Regina tells her to stop holding everything in was interesting in itself, but it was similar to other times when she felt put on the spot by Regina about her feelings.

First she avoids Regina’s gaze, frustrated that Regina won’t let it go, she looks caught. Things get really interesting however when Snow blurts out that “Regina is right.”…

…and Emma cannot believe what she hears. Doesn’t that face scream. Indignation and concealed anger? It’s as if she’s saying “How dare you tell me not to hold everything in, considering you are the person I’m doing it for?” Her reaction is all “Are you serious? Are you seriously telling me this?”

…and Snow is oblivious, but Regina has noticed the intensity of the response…

Once Upon a Time's Jennifer Morrison on Emma Swan's swan song

Warning: This story contains major spoilers from the season finale of Once Upon a Time. Read at your own risk!

The Savior made the ultimate sacrifice during the Once Upon a Time season finale.

After the new curse left Emma (Jennifer Morrison) with no memories in a Storybrooke run by the Black Fairy (Jaime Murray), the ABC fairy tale drama came full circle as Henry (Jared Gilmore) was forced to once again try to get Emma to believe. Her family and friends, meanwhile, were sent back to Fairy Tale Land, where all the realms began to crumble at the Savior’s lack of belief.

Though Gold (Robert Carlyle) ultimately killed the Black Fairy, breaking the curse, the Final Battle was not abated — the Black Fairy had ordered Gideon (Giles Matthey) to kill Emma, who refused to murder an innocent, thus she sacrificed herself. Fortunately, her son Henry’s kiss resurrected her, leading to what appears to be a happily ever after alongside her family as Morrison exits the drama after six seasons. (Read part 1 of our interview with Morrison here.)

“I’ve always wished for Emma’s happy ending,” Morrison tells EW. “As the woman who plays Emma — and even as a fan of the show — of course my heart’s desire is for Emma’s happy ending. I don’t think there was ever any part of me that was wishing for her death. I just always wanted to have an end to her story, at least in what we’ve seen so far, be something that was a fresh start, a new start for her, her facing life with new possibilities, with her walls down, with growth behind her.”

Unfortunately, our heroes are all missing in action sometime in the future, where — in a scene that echoes the pilot — an adult Henry’s (Andrew J. West) supposed daughter (Alison Fernandez) comes to him with a storybook, exclaiming Henry’s family needs his help. “I’m excited to see what this means,” Morrison says. “I love this idea that they’re rebooting it with the future Henry. I think that gives them a lot of room to do really fun things in the story line. The way that we jump around, and leap through time, and go between lands, it sets them up to have endless possibilities for the show to continue with really interesting and creative possibilities.”

While Morrison is exiting, Colin O’Donoghue will continue on with the show next season, as OUAT reframes around his character Hook, as well as Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Rumple (Robert Carlyle) — see who else is exiting here. While Morrison is slated to return for one episode next year, ostensibly her story will somehow continue on through Hook and adult Henry. “I have no idea how they’re planning on doing that,” Morrison says. “I don’t know what the pitch is for the one episode that I’m doing. I’ve always blindly had faith in them having great plans for those things, so I’m excited to see how they choose to set that up. I’m very happy for Colin continuing on the show, and I’m sure they’ll find a creative way to make it work.”

DATING CAMILA MENDES WOULD INCLUDE

since nobody is writing about how camila is sooooooooo girlfriend material (and im so in love with her), here it is:

•  it all started with you two being good friends, and as friends, you kept getting closer and closer

when she found out that you were into girls she smiled so big for herself

• bc you were this cute girl that since she looked at you she wanted to get to know better

• at first you texted a lot, and everytime she saw something funny she sended it to you

• bc she knew it would make you laugh and that would make her really happy

• then you started hanging out everytime that she wasnt filming for riverdale, like in between takes you’d go to where she was and take her to grab lunch or something

• you tried getting spoilers from her but even tho she really trusted you already she couldnt tell anything

• but she loved how you got so frustrated bc you. needed. to. know.

• so she teased you a lil bit, saying things like ”this may or may not happen”

HOW SHE ASKED YOU TO BE HER GIRLFRIEND before that everybody thought you were a couple anyway

• you were sick, like really sick, so she being the caring “friend” that she is showed up at your place w some soup, and why not flowers (something that she learnt from playing veronica)

• even tho you melted when you saw her with all of that, you didnt want her around  because you were afraid shell get sick too

• but she didnt care, she sat right next to you on the couch and put some movie on netflix

• you were falling asleep with your head on her shoulder and she was looking at you, playing with your fingers

• she probably wanted to ask you to be his girlfriend “properly” like, with a long speech  and give you maybe some chocolate or candy

• but while looking at you the words spilled from her mouth

• “hey do you wanna me like, my girlfriend?”

• “what”

• “what”

• both of you started laughing and oFC YOU SAID YES I MEAN

• so thats how you started dating

• thats when all the fun began hehehe jk

• her phone and yours would be filled with silly photos of you two

• you know that video of her cooking and laughing about it in her ig story? you’d have tons of them doing mostly everything

• like one day, she took your phone while you were showering bc she was bored and her phone didnt have any battery, and going through your camera roll she found this video you took from her while she was watching her favorite movie because you loved how her eyes lighted up whenever her favorite scene was on the screen and how loud she screamed when something “surprising” happened even tho she watched it thousands of times

• she would do the same, because you’d have that kind of relationship

• she comments on every single one of your pics, really short comments like “i love you” “im in love” “mOM” “gorgeous” “mine”

• her mom loves you, and likes to cook for you bc she seems so nice and lovely

• when she is mad over something really silly, she starts speaking portuguese and you just stare at her while she’s screaming walking around the room until she let it all out

• “i was doing it again?” “yup” “im sorry”

• but theres times where you two are cuddling facing eachother and she is putting your hair behind your ear while smiling and shed say “eu tenho tanta sorte“ or “você é tão bonita”

• you wouldnt get anything of what she said (and she probably wouldnt tell you) but youd smile so big because you knew it was something nice and when she speaks in another language is the cutest thing ever

• PDA !!!!! lots of pda

• but not the annoying type like sucking eachother faces in public, but holding hands, long hugs, cheek kisses, forehead kisses !!!

• at least twice a week you go out to eat or have a cute coffee date, talking bout life sitting infront of eachother, holding hands over the table

• she never fails to make you laugh, she’s always doing goofy things or trying to imitate someone (and failing)  just to put a smile on your face

• its 2:34 AM, the lights are gone, the only source of light is coming from your computer screen and you two are dancing in the living room to some random spotify playlist

• you can go from steamy hot makeout session on the couch to sloppy slow kisses filled with love

• she sings to you whenever you ask her

• she is probably singing 24/7 GOD BLESS HER ANGELIC VOICE

• but if you’re having a rough time or you’re feeling sad, she sings to you in a low tone kinda whispering, while smiling sweetly

• i dont think she is the jealous type  ? but if anyone is looking at you in a way that they shouldn’t she’d wrap an arm around your waist, not like in a “she’s mine back off” type of way, but in a sweet “i love her dont steal her from me” type of way im crying

• SHE. IS. A. TEASER. LIL. ****

• you tried cooking together, but you endend up getting too “distracted” and burning the whole thing

• “lets order pizza” “but i dont want pizza” “what do you want?” “you”

• she appreciates you and loves you so much bc if she is dating you she is 100% focused on you so she wouldnt be the annoying cheesy type, but definitely cheesy

• when she is away filming or busy with her work she sends you selfies doing funny faces, or videos at set with the cast, or a pouty selfie with a “cant wait to get home :(” that makes you melt inside who wouldnt

• PET NAMES !!! she probably calls you “love/babe/gorgeous”

• and she is your little nugget, of course

• play nights at your place with her friends (and yours) happen a little too often, because is everything you love and need: wine, charades, friends, and eachother

PLAYING CHARADES AND SHE BEING THE ONE TO GUESS WILL BE KINDA LIKE THIS: “oh oh oh i know that one!” “pETER PAN!” “no??? mmmm aLICE IN WONDERLAND!” “what, no?” “WHAT THE HECK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN BABE?!?!?” “no wAY IT WAS F HAPPY FEET”

but it doesnt matter is you win or lose the game at the end of the night, bc she’d wrap her arms around you and say “i win, i have you”

i love her so so so so much okay?????? it ends right here before i start crying she is the most precius lil bean bye

Concept: Mickey and Emil have been friends basically since they both began skating. They’re really close, and when I say close I mean HELLA. Sleepovers, friendship bracelet exchange when they were 12 (Emil still wears his outside of skating, and while Mickey will never admit it he still keeps his in his wallet of all places), the whole deal. Sara is also part of their friend group, but she’s definitely not as close to Emil as Mickey is.

And then puberty hits and Mickey suddenly becomes very aware of Emil and his closeness to Sara. In reality, nothing’s really changed, but he’s begun to get a weird tight feeling in his chest whenever he sees Emil smiling and laughing with Sara. He begins to be a lot more protective over Sara because that’s what it’s gotta be, right? Sara is getting prettier each year, and as her big brother he has a responsibility to keep men from taking advantage of her. Even if it’s Emil, who he’s known for years. Anyways, there’s nothing else this feeling can be, right? Right. Nothing more than protectiveness.
