why would anyone wanted to read the leaked doctor who script though? It means you have to deal with Moffat’s shitty writing twice and the first time’s worse because you don’t get Capaldi’s acting to make it better
I can actually write this without balling my eyes out.
David Bowie, to me, was the one reason I inew it was okay to be different. To be the outcast, the weirdo. That it was okay to change that, and yet remain the same. To not be scared, to stand up to conventions. His music was akways there to comfort me when I was sad, there with me when i was celebrating, when I was studying, or driving (falsely singing along, loudly), or just whenever i heeded it.
When Arwen and Ben banned me from the internet I thought some Doctor Who spoiler must have leaked or something, i didnt expect to hear Bowie had died. Some part of me always imagined one day meeting him, and just thanking him for what he meant to me.
The first time i ever saw a Bowie album, I was about 8, it was earthling, Bowie in his McQueen union flag jacket. First song I heard was Under Pressure, because my dad loves queen. The one that i heard the first time and said, whos dis? Was Sorrow. My favourite song, and the song I ended off my university with, as well as the first song I heard after I got the news was Rebel Rebel. Labyrinth was also one of those weird things that helped me out through the awkward teenage years, although Sarah was the ine to teach me the most, Jareth was the one to teach me what a crotch was. Oh boy.
Again, thanks for all the comfort from friends the last few days
I cant stop crying now, XD
So, Bowie might not ever be able to hear this, but you guys can read it.
Thank you for meaning so much to me. Thank you for being a friemd in music when I had none. Thank you for inspiring me in so many ways.
Thank you for being the Blackstar.
According to bbcone, Doctor Who leeks are being maliciously posted all over Tumblr. While they are dealing with this situation, I thought I’d show viewers what to watch out for. Stay safe out there, veg-lovers…
I wanted to stay quiet about this, but I just can't
How are people not realising the leak is a fake? It’s a very clever publicity stunt. I believed it at first, as I think everyone did, but as well as all the reasons other people are saying: no gifs or anything from it, no spoilers that we didn’t know already and/or common rumour, only one picture of title sequence and dvds that could be from a bbc insider, noone actually admitting they got it, etc. We’re missing the most obvious point. It was revealed there was a leak today, apparently people have seen it already…. How did they get it today? There’s no post on Sundays. And if they got it yesterday, why didn’t we hear about it yesterday?
I applaud the BBC and Doctor Who team on it, I think it’s a genius way to get people hyped up about it.
Doctor Who Hidden Crack Story Arc and Series 8 Spoiler
So when ths God Complex came out The Doctor tapped four times on a table to get someone’s attention.
I passed this off as a cool coincidence or a joke BUT I have JUST REALISED that in the Doctor’s room was the crack with the Timelords. This could mean that the Master’s beat passed through the crack like in A Town Called Mercy.
Now series 8 is full of Master rumours and this one seems pretty solid proof
And now I’m not sure. I’m still leaning towards the fact that it is a publicity stunt and he is a BBC insider… Just because it seems like he is the only person that has it so far which is highly unlikely. But that could just be wishful thinking because if it’s not a hoax, then tomorrow or through the week, more people will probably get theirs.
Either way though, I have a hell of a lot of respect for this guy. I mean if it is really a fuck up, he’s not giving any spoilers, he’s not making it available for download or online streaming or anything, and although I admit I am VERY jealous, I’m glad that he is respecting that it is something that will be best seen at the time of showing, I just hope other people who are lucky enough to get it early are as good as him with it.
If it is a hoax then he’s great at playing it, and to all the people behind it, I personally think it’s a genius idea to get peoples attention for the finale, especially in the 50th anniversary year. I can sort of see how people think it’s a bad thing, but really it’s not. It gets attention, gets people talking and once people start talking about it, more people will tune in. It’s so clever and genius and I’m amazed by it.
Anyway, I suppose only time will tell and hopefully if and when other people do get it, they’ll keep quiet too. But yeah, well done untempered-schism-insta, whether you’re legit or a BBC insider, I have a lot of respect for you right now.
It’s extremely unfair to keep anything at these conventions exclusive when the point is to release information to advertise to your potential audience and not all of the potential audience is in that room. The point of going to Comic Con should be tomeet the actors and actresses and producers and see the cosplay and to experience it all. The point shouldn’t be to get to see exclusive content and what really makes me angry about this is that Doctor Who wasn’t the only panel to do this. Obviously, since I’m a Doctor Who fan, it’s what I care the most about, however it’s extremely aggravating that this practice is done at all. I hope it doesn’t become a trend next year. There’s not a whole lot of point to having comic-con if it’s all going to be exclusive.
Plans for a Hollywood blockbuster version of Doctor Who have been leaked, from the Sony Pictures computer hack.
Published by WikiLeaks, their source of a Doctor Who movie from Sony states:
The plans for Doctor Who were put in an email sent in January from Andrea Wong, president of International Production for Sony, to the company’s chief executive Michael Lynton.
The email says: “[Danny Cohen, Director of BBC TV] said that while there has been tremendous interest (and pressure from [BBC Worldwide]) to do a Dr Who film, the show runners feel very clear that they don’t want to do one at this moment.
“That said, over the course of the coming months, the show running team is coming up with an 8 year timeline for the brand – laying out all that will happen with it. “He says that a film will certainly be a part of that timeline. So the answer is that a film won’t happen in the next year to 18 months, but it is expected that it will happen after that within the 8 year horizon.’
Lynton’s response was: “Sounds like we need to meet with the show runners.”
A follow up email from Wong reads: “Spoke to Danny and he doesn’t think it makes sense right now and actually might hurt our cause.
“He said that the creative team on the show have been having the movie conversation with BBC Worldwide in recent weeks and are very hot under the collar that their position on it is not being listened to or accepted.”
There’s been no response from Sony or the BBC on the leak, though Sony has strongly condemned the release of material by Wikileaks, saying: “We vehemently disagree with WikiLeaks’ assertion that this material belongs in the public domain.”
